Tai let out a sad sigh as he stood in front of the door that use to be his and Caroline but now it's just hers. He is currently standing there because Caroline called to pick up his belongings but Tai was working up the courage to knock on the door. He let out another sigh as he finally knock. In less than a minute the door open. Caroline stood behind the door as she let him in.

"Pack the rest of your stuff, I would have burn them myself but I thought I would give you a chance to save your things"

She said quietly as she made her way to the living room and sat down on the couch and sip her tea. Tai sadly gaze at her before heading to the bedroom to gather his belongings. As Tai was done, he walked out of the bedroom carrying two suitcases, he looked to Caroline who was reading a book and slowly walked up to her.

"Can we talk?"

He asked. Caroline turn to him as she close her book.

"What is there to talk about?"

"I just don't want to leave us in a bad term"

Caroline glared at him.

"You dishonor my whole family"

Tai sadly gaze down to the tile floor.

"I'm sorry"

"Yeah, I'm sorry too. We had a good thing going but you throw it all away"

Tai sat down on the couch beside her.

"You stood by my side through so many years and I constantly accused you of cheating..."

Caroline harsh glare soon turn soft as she sadly looked to him.

"I didn't deserve that Tai"

"I know and I know now"

"Did you accuse me just for to push me away?"

Tai lift up his head as he looked to her in surprise.

"No. Did you pamper me to push me away?"

He asked. Caroline sadly shook her head.

"No I used the pampering to bring you closer"

She let out a sad sigh as she leaned back against her seat.

"I don't understand this Tai, I really don't. Back then in highschool, you wanted me so badly. You would flirt with me constantly, asking me out on dates and I continue to reject you"

Tai sadly smiled.

"Yeah I remember"

"Until one day, I finally accepted your offer. I never regretted my choice because I thought you would never hurt me. You listen to what your friends say more than me. When you first accused me of cheating I felt so hurt..."

Tai sadly looked down at his hands as he remembered that first time he accused her.

Flashbacks

"You can't be serious"

Tai said angrily as Sora just confess to Tai that she seen Caroline with another guy at the mall.

"I saw them with my own two eyes"

Sora said affirmative. Tai angrily walked away from Sora and headed to Caroline who was packing up her belongings in her locker surrounded by her popular friends.

"Caroline!"

Tai yelled, causing the group to look to Tai.

"Woah someone's mad"

One said.

"Careful Caroline, looks like Tai is going to throw a gasket"

Another joke. Caroline placed both her hands on her hips and glared at her friends.

"Knock it off. Tai hey what's a matter babe"

She asked as Tai got in front of her.

"Are you seeing another guy behind my back?"

Caroline's eyes open wide in surprise

"What?"

"Are you cheating on me?"

Caroline felt her heart just broke at the accusation.

"What of course not, I love you, what makes you say that?"

"I heard that you were with another guy at the mall yesterday"

Before Caroline can respond her friends spoke for her.

"That's because that would be her brother"

One spoke.

"Yeah, we were helping these two connect after a long time of not seeing each other"

"Girls, please, I got this"

Caroline stated and looked to Tai with a serious face.

"Yes, I was out at the mall with a guy who is my brother, who arrived from New York. If someone told you different, then they are lying"

"Can you confirm this?"

Caroline felt hurt.

"Yeah I can my friends and my brother"

"Unless you got them to lie"

"Tai..."

"Just forget it"

He said angrily walking away. Caroline felt tears threatening to fall as Tai walked away not even believing her words.

End of Flashback

"I remember"

Tai said quietly.

"Even til this day, you still don't believe me. You made me look like trash in front of my family like if I wasn't good enough for anyone. You honestly made me feel like that. So Sora confessed to you, not that I care but what are you going to do about it?"

Caroline said sadly.

"I'm not choosing her either"

"I honestly felt like she was always after me for some reason"

"Sora isn't like that"

"There you go again, always defending her and leaving me to get hit. For some reason after talking with her you always come back different to me"

"My friends wouldn't betray me"

"And you think I will? Tai, I honestly love you, I really do but I think it's best we don't even try to be friends"

Tai looked to her in surprise.

"You wouldn't want to at least try?"

"There's no point"

"But we can try?"

"Just like how we "try" in our relationship, yeah, I would rather pass"

Tai stood up with a sigh.

"I guess this is the end between us then"

"Apparently so"

Tai made his way to the door and opened it.

"Tai, just so you know the reason I don't want to be friends with you is because I wasted half of my life for you, for us and those were the years that I am never going to get back. Time wasted on getting accused, yelled at and blame is over and done with. Have a nice life."

Caroline said as she took a sip of her tea. Tai nodded as he walked out the door closing it behind him.
