Chapter 77
Days couldn't run unhurriedly once the couple became busy, preparing for their wedding.
There were so much to do. Fixing a date, buying outfits, renting places, arranging everything...the list could go on. As much as they seemed be in trouble, they were more than happy to get married at least.
Yoon Min wanted to invite the people from her orphanage and their co-workers. But Seokjin unknowingly didn’t want anyone to be present at their wedding. He told her both of them didn’t have any family members or relatives. Inviting other people would only raise rumours and questions. He didn’t even want to invite his own father. So she agreed with him in the end, thinking whatever he wanted was right and keeping their wedding private would be best. No one's gonna come anyway.
Despite criticism and problems, they found a little piece of joy in everything. It seemed so exciting and fun to do the arrangements by themselves. They could figure out each others' choices and learn many things as well. It was like a best decision to get married.
Among their busy schedule, they found a day to go out to buy their necessaries. You could guess what Yoon Min was doing while trying out wedding gowns. She was so fussy and picky about a few things like she didn’t want her dress sleeveless, too pouffy, glittery, lavish, shiny, skin-showing, what not. At one point, Seokjin was so done with her acting of poverty; he gave up with her pickings and chose one dress himself that seemed to match with her likings. For that perfect dress, he received a kiss on the cheek from her. As for him, he wanted to go with traditional black but she selected another suit and surprisingly, he did look the best.
Next, they went to a shop to buy rings. But it wasn’t successful at the first shop. They had to check about ten shops because of a tiny, big problem.
“Why on Earth are your fingers so small?!” Seokjin whined, upon realizing this shop too didn’t have any rings that fit her.
Yoon Min pouted and placed the large ring away, “So ridiculous. I never knew my hands were this small.”
Seeing their disappointment, the shop owner showed her sympathy but clearly laughed behind their backs. At the end, they decided to have their rings customized since the size was a problem. Yoon Min was extremely sad and disappointed at herself, but luckily her fiancee cheered her up cutely.
While managing their career too in these busy weeks, Seokjin hit upon a plan one day. He bought a brand new house for them, a house that was unnecessarily like a mansion and luxuriously beautiful. It came with their own garden and a swimming pool. And they decided to hold their wedding in that garden. The house wasn’t finished completely. There were a few things undone and he wanted to do those with Yoon Min. They both were very creative. Yoon Min couldn’t be happier. Living in a beautiful house with her beloved seemed like every princess's dream. She was so excited when he told her about it.
Bit by bit, they worked on their house when they were free. They painted the walls all by themselves, bringing life indoors. They didn’t only paint; they ran around the house, chasing each other in order to throw paint at each others' bodies. Laughters and giggles were the only music that time. During some moments, both looked like two children with nothing to worry about. They were so happy, so content. They shared glances, chuckles, kisses, teases almost every second, keeping the environment romantic and lively.
They even chose every furniture by themeselves. They both decided on the same items after talking about it gently. Moving in the furnitures was another fun thing. Seokjin forbade her to help him because she was weaker than him. But she had to butt in and help him, but unfortunately she couldn’t even push one couch. When he laughed at her, she threw a cushion at him; which started the pillow fight. The whole day passed with them playing hide-and-seek in their new house among new unorganized furnitures and hitting each other with pillows. The feeling of being caught by Seokjin and being lifted up in the air in his arms, while being peppered with adorable kisses and being loved; that feeling couldn’t be shown in words. That feeling meant everything to Yoon Min.
They wanted everything to be perfect. From building a dream house to preparing an unforgettable wedding, every single thing was without flaws. Both of them dedicated their passion and time to create a blissful future ahead. In the pre-journey of their future, they didn’t know they created outstanding memories already, where the only thing that mattered was their happiness.
They couldn’t wait to get married.
“Ah, I want something, Seokjin.” Yoon Min muttered, watching him cook dinner. Watching him cook made him look extra handsome and breathtaking.
Seokjin hummed in response, eyes focused on frying the fish.
“I want us to write our own vows.”
He immediately glanced at her, lips curving a curious smile. “Aish, you know how bad I'm at that...”
She stole a cucumber from the bowl before replying, “I don't care even if it's one line. But I want it to come from your heart.” She walked to the kitchen island before lifting herself up and sat on the island, munching that cucumber piece.
Seokjin turned the heat lower and turned around to look at her. “Don't you know whatever I feel for you comes straight from my heart?” There was a cheesy smirk on his plump lips when he leaned closer to her face.
In response, she smiled brightly and hugged his neck, before pulling him into a longing kiss.
Love indeed makes us go crazy, doesn’t it?
