Chapter 5

"Calm down, Miss. Take a deep breath and touch your watch." Ella tried to comfort her.

It wasn't even noon before Yoon Min's watch started to beep suddenly. It's her first call from humans. Someone in the Earth needed her. She was jumping around out of anxiety while Ella was trying to calm her down.

"Ella, what if I can't save him?! What if I fail on my first duty?!" she screamed at her.

"No such thing will happen, Miss! Calm down, I know you can do it."

Yoon Min breathed heavily and tried to calm herself down. When she managed to decrease her nervousness, she one last time looked at Ella before smiling nervously, "Wish me luck!"

"Best of Luck, Miss! You can do it!" Ella was good at encouragement.

Finally, she took another deep breath and touched her watch with her first two fingers. She vanished within a second and gone!

The moment Yoon Min opened her eyes, she found herself in a boat.

Boat?

It was a large engine white boat going through a beautiful lake. She was confused why she was here instead of a bedroom or something.

That's when, she heard soft weeping behind her.

Yoon Min slowly turned back and saw a man standing on the edge of the boat, eyes closed and crying softly. He was thinking to jump for the first time.

She realized this man here had a problem with his family. Kim Yugyeom, the only heir of one of the richest family in South Korea. His father decided on the day he was born that he will carry out his business in the future and bring honor for the family. But Yugyeom had an uncontrollable passion for Piano. He was skilled and much good at it. Since 9, he's been practicing it and when he showed talent, his father mercilessly took the piano away from him and forced him to read about business. And now, things went too much. Yugyeom did read about his father's business and even decided to be the heir. But he wanted something in return.

And that was to bring back the same old piano from his childhood.

His father yelled at him for being so emotional and childish; so he right in front of his eyes, burnt the piano.

This made Yugyeom so depressed and hurt. Like he wondered what was his fault at the first place. He ran away from home and came here in this lake. To take revenge on his father, he decided to kill himself so that his father could never find an heir for his so-called business.

Yoon Min sighed and walked towards him. She stood beside Yugyeom on the edge now both of them facing the scenery together. Yugyeom had no intention to stop crying. Or did he seem determined to commit suicide. He was still fighting with his heart for the right decision.

"Yugyeom-ah......."

He flinched upon hearing a beautiful voice around him. It felt so real and as if someone was standing next to him. He opened his eyes and looked around, eye lashes blinking twice as faster.

"Think about your little sister."

He suddenly went pale, his skin turned white, blood hiding itself from his body. The mention of his sister made him shook in place.

"Once you die, your father will hand over all the weight of business on your sister's shoulders. Your own little sister who wants to be a doctor like your mother. Do you really want that?"

Yugyeom didn't answer. One thing he knew his consequence was speaking to him right now. He loved his sister more than anyone in the world. If he died, his sister would never achieve her dreams.

"Dear soul, taking a step into eternal darkness won't give you the revenge you're looking for. What you can do for your sister and yourself is to listen to your father and become the CEO. Have patience and Almighty will definitely bless you and give you whatever you want."

His lips parted and tears dropped one by one. It wasn't out of sorrow or pain. It was out of great realization. Sometimes doing something out of your wish might be the first step to get what you want. It was the same case with him.

Yugyeom stepped back and sat back on the hardboard of the boat. He began crying again. Yoon Min was certain he was corrected. He will never try to attempt suicide as the innocent face of his sister will flash in front of his eyes. He will think of her before doing anything.

She smiled slightly. She touched her watch again and bam! She vanished again.

"Did you save him?"

Opening her eyes, she saw an worried Ella, biting her nails.

Yoon Min smiled widely, "Yeah. I saved my first victim."

"Song Yoon Min!"

Yoon Min turned her back and saw Professor Choi coming towards her.

"Yes, Professor?"

"Do me a favor. Please return these books back to the library. I've somewhere to go urgently." Professor Choi gave her a weak smile.

She nodded, "Sure, Professor."

"Should I come with you, Miss?" Ella asked.

"No, Ella. It's fine, you go back. You need to find time for yourself too."

She smiled cutely, her cheeks glowing pink, "Thank You, Miss."

To get to the Library, she had to go out of the department and go straight on the stone path.

Night looked more beautiful in Love Universe than daytime. The complete beauty in every part of scenery shone at night. The round planets looked so amazing, full of fantasy. Her favorite part of Love Universe was the unlimited beautiful sky. Once she stared at it, she couldn’t stop at all. The sky fascinated her in every way.

Unexpectedly, the library wasn't that bright like other times. It was rather dim-lit and no one was there. The heart-shaped lamps looked cute to her. There were tons of shelves, full of books. It's easy to get lost in here. She rubbed her temple before sighing and going inside the maze of the shelves.

After putting the books to their right places, Yoon Min arrived at the main reading spot of the Grand Library. And she saw she wasn't alone. At the end of the hall, someone was reading under the light of a table lamp. She had a feeling who it was, based on the physical structure and hair. Yet she decided to find out.

Yoon Min walked silently towards the person and stood behind his back. He was very focused on reading books.

"J-Jin Seonbae?"

Seokjin jumped slightly out of surprise and looked back. His eyes grew wide a bit seeing her here at the unexpected late time. Yoon Min decided to ask first as both of them were continuously staring at each other,

"What are you doing here so late?"

He turned back towards his books and replied, "I can ask you the same, kid."

It felt awfully weird when he called her kid.

"Professor Choi sent me to return his books." she answered in an obvious tone and pulled a chair to sit beside him. She herself didn't know when she got the courage to sit beside her Senior. Especially when her heart was aching and tears were ready to fall.

She observed he was very focused on reading. As if he was inside the book and playing the role of every character. Seokjin purposefully didn't look at his junior as she might feel uncomfortable while having a bad idea about him. So he kept his gaze on the book.

"You must love to read books." Yoon Min asked.

Jin hummed in response.

"I don't know anything yet but I have a feeling I was in love with books when I was a h-human."

He looked at her. The pink light coming from the heart shaped lamp made her face more visible and faint view of tears in her eyes.

"D-do you like to read?" he asked carefully.

Yoon Min nodded with a smile that showed she wasn't sure but she was happy.

"Reading gives me someplace to go when I can stay where I am." She flipped a page from the nearest book she found around her.

Seokjin stared at her and didn’t blink or breath. Like it made him stop against time to feel her words. And to go back to the time he heard it before. Satisfaction won't be the right word. He was blissful to hear from her.

"I love the moment when I open a book and sink into it, I can escape from the world, into a story that's way more interesting than mine will ever be." she smiled faintly.

She felt her heart getting heavier with the weight of pain and tears. It's very hard for her every time she felt this heartpain and the urge to cry whenever she's near him. And sitting this close to him was bound to get her more pained. Yet the mention of her love for books made some awkward, strange things inside her body. As if she was Right.

Yoon Min from the corner of her eyes felt his beautiful eyes staring at her in the most attractive way. She couldn't figure whether his eyes were full of wonder or affection. Is letting out whatever she's thinking in her mind surprising him? A junior can tell her problems to her senior. Though he felt more strangely close than a Senior.

"I guess we both have a similar habit in us, Guardian Song."

She looked at him and found him smiling lovely at her.

Everyone must have had this feeling, right? When a strange man feels too dear to you without having any connection with him? Or maybe a few people have felt this. And she was one of them to feel his stare the most familiar and heartfelt. Falling for him was never the right sentence here. More like knowing him unknowingly.

"I never got to say this earlier but thank you for helping me that day, Senior Guardian." Yoon Min softly smiled.

Seok Jin returned his gaze back to his books before mumbling, "Anytime, kid."
