Chapter 34
“Little, inferior guardian has limited time in her hands. Maybe 42 hours? Poor her...she's gonna face a helpless death unless...of course, I dare one of you to come and get her. Remember, only one...or else, I'll freeze her to death right in front of your eyes.” Ozul let out a malicious smirk before continuing, “The largest star behind the great Pluto is the location you must arrive. Time's ticking...Do I hear a Yes, Senior Guardian Kim Seok Jin?”
It's been a few moments Ozul Vex sent them a little something to add up to their worries; a video of Yoon Min unconscious inside the cold, glass box, her skin was frozen, bloodless and her whole figure turned out more weak as seemed. The most painful sight of hers unable to protect herself was piercing through everyone’s restless minds. All knew she will not survive for too long, especially in that deathly cold.
Seokjin stared at the blank screen for a few seconds, before pure hatred took over as he suddenly turned around and took determined steps to leave the office. A hand grabbed his arm before he could touch the door knob,
“Where do you think you're going?” Yoongi asked him strictly.
“Let me go! I need to save her.” Seokjin tried hard to rip out of his friend's strong hold. The last thing he wanted was anyone stopping him.
“And, what? Get yourself killed?” Nam Joon got up from his seat and walked to him.
All senior guardians were present in the Princess's office for a discussion. Everyone was in a devastating situation, where they couldn’t come up with a decision what to do or not. For all of them were terribly worried for their lost guardian. The Princess herself couldn’t stop tapping on the table with a pen out of anxiety. She felt as if the whole burden and fault was hers.
Beomgyu, the only non-senior guardian in the room didn’t open his mouth till now. Practically, he wasn’t allowed in the meeting but he caused a mess due to it so they just let him join. Everyone knew how he cared for her.
“You heard that demon. He wants Jin Seonbae to rescue her.”
Taehyung took a glance at him and said calmly, “You know we cannot send him alone in the space.”
“Hell, do you wanna get yourselves killed? You heard that sick bastard! He only wants me. Now for God's sake, let me go!” Seokjin desperately wanted to travel to the space and bring her back home in his arms.
Jimin tried putting his hands on his elder friend's shoulders in an attempt to calm him. “Jin Hyung, calm down first. We need to come to a decision for all of us to save her.”
“There's clearly a motive behind Ozul Vex to summon him only in the whole video. He could've asked for the Princess.” Jungkook murmured into Hoseok's ears in a whisper. The calm faced guardian replied, “Because he knows Jin Hyung will do anything to save her.”
When Seokjin showed no signs of calming down, all on a sudden, Princess Aereum banged her fist on her desk, which caught everyone's attention at once. She glared at him and coldly spat, “If you want to act alone and put both your lives in danger, you're free to walk out from this meeting, Senior Guardian Jin.”
Seokjin however forced himself free from Yoongi's grip and walked to her fiercely.
“You tell me first, Princess. How the hell is Ozul Vex alive?!” his angry yelling made the others flinch a little. “You told us he was gone!”
Aereum didn’t look guilty as she strongly replied back, “I have no idea about this.”
Before he could argue more, she interrupted him by adding, “But I'm guessing Fairy Ella helped him when we were in the middle of the battle. She threw something at me from behind, and that was the chance Ozul Vex took and escaped, unfortunately.”
The mention of the traitor's name made everyone fall into a deep silence. As everyone was too shocked to believe they were betrayed by their own.
“I still can't believe Fairy Ella did that to us.” Hoseok sadly let out, expressing everyone’s same thought out.
Seokjin ran his hand through his hair in frustration, looking away from everyone. He for the first time had felt fear deeper than earlier. Seeing her in that heartbreaking condition, he just lost all his hopes and wanted to protect her from that demon. He could feel him breathing faster than ever, only his heart was dead silent.
Jungkook focused on his elder friend for the time-being, “Hyung, try to understand. If you go alone, there is a high possibility both you and her die at the same spot. We can do this together if you stay calm.”
His gentle words seemed to work on him as his shoulders loosened and he faced down. Nam Joon wrapped one of his arms around his broad shoulder and gave a light squeeze.
“We all will save Guardian Yoon Min. I am sure of it.”
Seokjin stopped fighting with the emotions and flopped down on a chair, his whole face breaking down in sorrow. It took him all not to cry in panic and dread. If he was around her that time, he could had saved her from being abducted. He found himself blaming him only for her misery now.
Finally, the office came to a calm, understanding atmosphere. Everyone remained tight in their spots, waiting for their princess to say a word. Beomgyu checked the time every now and then, already 18 hours passed without her presence in his sight. What'll he do?
All the time, Princess Aereum didn’t speak or listen to the other guardians' plans, opinions or ideas. She was cooking up her own master plan; an inevitable idea that might save everyone from his evil clutch. She raised her head and everyone glanced at her with a tiny hope.
She sighed and looked at Seokjin whose head was down, maybe to hide the fact he could be weak too and feel the need to cry for someone.
“Seok Jin...”
He raised his head and looked at her with his tearful eyes.
“You'll go there to save her.”
Beomgyu was the first one to react, “Forgive me, Princess but that doesn’t sound like a plan to me.”
He was indeed rude with his words but as a matter of fact, the other senior guardians also felt the same need to ask her the same question.
Aereum shifted her gaze to Beomgyu now, a tiny smirk appeared in her gloss, red lips before she let out, “But he isn't going alone.”
------------
Ella didn’t actually think she would notice a small spaceship flying towards them from a distance. She never doubted his feelings for her though it took him a long time to reach here. Of course, who would want to come to save a worthless girl knowing the danger lies ahead?
Taking another glance, she made her way towards her master's room fast, wasting no time.
“He's here.” she saw him looking at himself in a mirror.
Ozul's showed a blithesome smile before rubbing his hands together and walking to exit the room, “Things are gonna get interesting.”
Seokjin's eyes searched everywhere while he was driving the small spaceship that can only hold one person inside. Though the imagination of Yoon Min helplessly floating in the widths of the space didn’t cross his mind, but he didn’t want to miss a single place where she could be.
As his ship made way among the mysterious elements of the space, he noticed a large, metallic spaceship; way bigger than their mission's was. Without any doubt, he knew it was the demon's own residence.
Seokjin took steady, calm breaths as he was going towards the huge ship's main doorway (entrance). The spaceship was highly built, that's for sure. He wondered how he managed to build it.
The large doors slid open, and he could see that very same demon standing there with his sinisterly grin, looking all gentle. He had to widen his eyes when he saw a familiar figure with him.
“Kim Seok Jin, how nice to see you again!” he exclaimed in a fake, caring voice, his terrifying red eyes glinting maliciously.
Seokjin scoffed mentally before driving his ship inside the boundary of the demon's.
As he was parking his ship, Ozul without looking at the fairy ordered calmly, “Check if anyone’s out there at all.”
Ella nodded and flew outside. With her sharp, designated eyes, she managed to scan the whole space around them, thousand metres ahead of their ship. Everything was clear. He indeed came alone as they threatened.
The huge door shut on their own with a loud sound, trapping his scared soul inside with the strongest evil creature out there.
“Where is She!” Seokjin roared at him, coming out from his ship and marching towards him.
Ozul laughed scornfully in response, acknowledging the man's extreme concern for the female who might be dead by now. Clicking his thick, nasty tongue, he shook his head, “Not so fast, Guardian.”
The senior guardian was angered more, but he controlled himself and tried to hold his patience. As much he himself was scared to even breath, the perilous jeopardy Yoon Min was in just made him feel more anxious.
“Don't you look miserable right now?” Ozul just loved to test his patience as his smirk proved his evilness.
Seokjin scoffed openly before rolling his eyes, “Cut the crap and get to the business.”
With a sneer, the demon let out a mocking chuckle as his teeth were widely displayed, as if everything seemed like a child's play.
“Seems like you'll never change.” Ozul shortly glanced at Ella then turning his back. “Follow me.” the said-demon began walking off to the opposite direction, whistling a noxious tune that rolled off his lips so easily.
Tightening his fists, Seokjin released a tight exhale before shooting a disappointing eye to the fairy standing there with her arms crossed. Displeased him just had nothing to do except to follow the demon helplessly. Maybe he was being taken to Yoon Min anyway. He couldn't lose any chance right now; already his head was spinning by the sharp worries for her. He would be satisfied even if he caught a glimpse of her, breathing and alive even now.
As he followed Ozul Vex through the spacious corridor, he glanced back and murmured silently, in a form of prayer,
“Please don't get caught, Choi Beomgyu...”
