just as summer started, the two months quickly passed by. it was wooseok and jinhyuk's last year of high school before they went on to college and their own separate ways. of course jinhyuk became more popular than ever before because of his modeling job.

it wasn't only jinhyuk, it was also seungwoo and yuvin who were gaining more recognition. the three have gotten so popular over the summer that the school started to receive more submissions and transfers from students from other schools.

"that means he has to be careful now" yohan said, looking down at the food in his lunch tray, "and we can't even sit with them anymore!"

wooseok pouted, looking across the canteen to see girls crowding the table with their phones out. it was definitely much livelier than before. he was lucky to even be able to utter a word to jinhyuk for the whole day.

actually, he hasn't been able to at all. it was their first day as third years, yet he couldn't even talk to his own boyfriend without people butting in. he made it through half the school day, yet he couldn't even approach the vampire.

"jinhyuk is careful" wooseok muttered under his breath, "did his company ask him to do this?"

he didn't know the company was this strict. or was it because jinhyuk was avoiding him on purpose? no, jinhyuk wouldn't do that. jinhyuk was absolutely whipped for him. he knew the vampire was whipped for him!

he was starting to doubt himself. even during the student council meeting, he wasn't focused on what everyone was talking at all. they were supposed to be talking about the different activities they were going to do before they graduate, but wooseok's mind was somewhere else.

"what do you think about this idea?" byungchan asked, looking at the spaced out boy, "wooseok?"

wooseok snapped out of his thoughts and looked at the boy through his circle framed glassed, "h-huh? what did you say?"

"are you even paying attention wooseok?" yohan let out a soft giggle. the student council was only made up of his three friends. it was like that since their freshman year.

"he's busy thinking about his boyfriend whose getting pampered by everyone outside" hangyul teased, making wooseok puff up his cheeks in anger.

wooseok's silence definitely gave them their answer as he sat back on the couch. he simply let out a sigh and looked out the door. jinhyuk would normally wait for him until the meeting was done back when they were second years. he was hoping it would still be the same.

once the meeting was over, he quickly stood up, slinging the strap of his bagpack over his shoulders and headed out the door. he looked left and right to find the vampire smiling at him when he turned his head right. the meeting was after school so it was normal for everyone to go home. thank god. he could finally talk to jinhyuk.

"jinhyuk" oh did wooseok want to run into the vampire's arms and hug him to bits and pieces. but of course, he had to keep up with his image and walked up to the vampire normally.

the vampire opened his arms, waiting for the brunette to hug him, but pouted when the shorter shook his head.

"you have to be careful now" wooseok whispered as they walked down the hall, "you can't have a dating scandal just yet!"

"i couldn't even talk to you the whole day" jinhyuk whined, wanting to grab his boyfriend's hand and lace their fingers together, "everyone was crowding around us. i couldn't even escape if i wanted to!"

wooseok simply shook his hand and put it into his pocket, shaking his head, "no jinhyuk. we can't do it here" he looked around to see students still wandering around the school, "do i have to say it again? i told you, you have to be—"

before wooseok could finish his sentence, he was yanked over and dragged into an empty classroom, by his one and only boyfriend, "lee jinhyuk!" and before wooseok could utter out another word and scold his stupid boyfriend, he was cut off by a pair of lips.

jinhyuk had his hand on the wall beside wooseok's head as he pressed his lips against the shorter's once again. although it was intimate, it was enough to make wooseok's heart go crazy. jinhyuk was always full of surprises, wasn't he?

"careful" jinhyuk whispered into wooseok's ear, making whispers run down his spine, "but i don't have to be when it's just us, right?"

wooseok's cheeks flushed red and he was sure jinhyuk could hear the pounding of his heart since they were centimeters apart from one another. he smacked the vampire's chest lightly, looking down with flushed cheeks.

"don't scare me like that you idiot of a vampire" wooseok mumbled, "i hate you"

jinhyuk smiled, extending his hand to ruffle wooseok's head, "was that your first kiss? are you mad? was it at a bad time?" the vampire started to question once wooseok turned quiet.

wooseok, who was so embarrassed, stayed silent, pushing the vampire away lightly before opening the door and walking out. jinhyuk ran after him like a lost puppy, nagging him to answer the question and tell him what was wrong. it was the first time he kissed wooseok. it wasn't in a pretty place or— or somewhere fancy. he just wanted to do it, maybe take a step further into their relationship.

he almost forgot to put on his cap once they exited the school. he had to cover himself up to make sure he wasn't seen outside, "wooseok! are you really mad? i'm sorry" the vampire mumbled, looking down guiltily.

"i should've took us on a proper date and do it after right? it was bad timing wasn't it. you wanted it to be special right—"

wooseok turned around and wrapped his arms around the taller this was in attempt to hide his face, which he was still blushing profusely. he was shy. it wasn't like he didn't like it. he did like it. he's been wanting to kiss jinhyuk ever since they started dating but he would never find the right time for it. actually, he wanted the vampire to do it first.

"i liked it you stupid vampire" wooseok mumbled into the taller's chest as he looked up to meet his red eyes, "you nearly gave me a heart attack with your stupid handsome face and your pretty lips" the short mumbled incoherently, making the vampire cock his head to the side.

"what did you say?" jinhyuk asked, watching as the brunette skipped away, "wooseok-ah! you can't just call me a stupid vampire and leave like that!" he ran after the brunette once again, back hugging him once he caught up, pulling the shorter to his chest. the boy let out a yelp, puffing his cheeks before resting the back of his head onto the vampire's shoulder.

"i said we have to be careful" wooseok mumbled, "what would everyone think if they saw me dating you? your career is on the line too jinhyukie"

it wasn't like he didn't like holding hands or hugging jinhyuk. he was scared. he was scared for jinhyuk. he didn't want to hurt jinhyuk's career. he wanted to support him— like the loving boyfriend he was supposed to be.

"that you're pretty" jinhyuk whispered, walking down the block with wooseok by his side, "and that we make a pretty good couple"

"you're so cheesy" wooseok rolled his eyes despite his heart beating after hearing such lovely words come out of the vampire's mouth, "what happened to my cold boyfriend?"

jinhyuk simply chuckled, about to reach down and grab the shorter's hand when he heard someone calling after him. the unfamiliar, yet familiar voice made him whip his head around. wooseok turned around as well in curiosity.

"jinhyuk!"

jinhyuk's eyes widened as he saw the familiar girl, "eunhee?"
