"i heard jinhyuk's photoshoot pictures got released" byungchan nudged the brunette's shoulder teasingly, "did you see them mrs. lee?"

"they came out pretty good" hangyul commented, scrolling through his phone, "seungyoun is still my favorite model though. jinhyuk is definitely second"

"i bet he did" yohan teased, looking at the boy, "i bet you he's mad that his boyfriend is so good looking"

"i am mad" wooseok huffed, licking onto his ice cream with a pout on his face. the four boys decided to get ice cream to celebrate jinhyuk's debut as a model, even though he was still a rookie and he wasn't actually there with them.

oh wooseok stayed up and refreshed the top media entertainment page to see it first and boy was he shocked. of course he had every right to drool over his boyfriend but that didn't mean other people could. of course jinhyuk just had to be good looking to capture everyone's attention. the vampire was practically trending on every social media site and he's collected tons of fans in the past twenty four hours.

"he's jealous his boyfriend is getting all the attention" byungchan giggled, licking his lollipop, "i never knew jinhyuk would enjoy getting attention"

that only made wooseok sulk even more. where did the cold, quiet vampire whose attention was only on him gone to? he knew it was selfish of him to think that way but he couldn't help it.

"stop being selfish wooseok" he slapped himself softly, making his friends raise their eyebrow at him, "he's not yours!"

hangyul looked up from his phone and chuckled, "oh i'm sure he's yours"

"i can't help it!" wooseok whined, biting onto the spoon he used to scoop his ice cream with, "h-he's going to forget about me and— and—"

"you're overreacting" yohan rolled his eyes, snorting a little bit, "he's not going to leave you. he wouldn't dare"

"i'd feel the same way if seungwoo were to leave me and become someone famous" byungchan whispered, sucking onto his lollipop. wooseok shot his head to look at the taller. looks like seungwoo still didn't tell him about it.

the three boys sat there, wondering what would happen if their vampire boyfriends were to leave them while hangyul sat there scrolling through his phone and admiring seungyoun through the screen.

"look look! did you see the new model that just debuted? he's so handsome!" a passerby pointed at her phone to the friend next to hers.

"he's definitely got the looks!" the girl nodded, "he's tall too!"

"and he's bad at english and he's way too tall and spoils me too much" wooseok mumbled under his breath after hearing what the two girls said. he wished he started dating jinhyuk sooner. there were so many things he wanted to do before jinhyuk got well known to the public.

he was starting to regret introducing the boy to seungyoun. if he hadn't introduced him to the artist, jinhyuk was surely not going to become a model. that was only half true though but wooseok didn't know that.

jinhyuk grew up with a strict step father and a kind mother. from his mother's old stories about his lovely father, they fell in love in high school and got married after they finished college and got a stable job. of course that happy life didn't last for long when his grandparents arranged a marriage for his mother to marry someone else.

that someone else was his step father. of course he never liked his step father. how could he when all he cared about was money and his business? he didn't even spare a glance at him and always nagged him about how he was going to take over and work for the company.

and of course, he's heard countless of stories about his real father from his mom. he never even got to see the face of his father because of his grandparents who strictly forbid his mother from meeting his father even after they got a divorce.

he was sure his father was a lovely person. it was someone who made his mother happy after all, unlike his step father.

"you became a model?!" his step father's yells echoed the room as he stood up, slamming his hands onto the dinner table, "i didn't allow you to do this!"

"i can make whatever decision i want" jinhyuk mumbled under his breath, sucking onto his blood pack.

"you were supposed to take over the company" his step father glared at him, "not become a useless model! how much money is that gonna make you?!"

jinhyuk close his blood pack, looking at his step father dead in the eye, "i said i don't want to take over the family business. you can't tell me what to do!"

the made his step father's blood boil as he walked over to jinhyuk's side of the table and grabbed the collar of his shirt, "say that again you brat! don't you know how much money we could make?! you're always so disobedient!" his step father slapped his cheek harshly, making him wince. and then again and again.

"don't hurt him!" he heard his mother run into the kitchen and pull his step father away, "how dare you hurt him?!"

"he's always so disobedient and won't listen! have you seen how he's blown up in the public?! he's a model! he was supposed to take over my company!" his father yelled, glaring at jinhyuk who was caressing his cheek with the palm of his hand.

"he can be anything he wants to be!" his mother yelled back, turning around and grabbing jinhyuk by the hand, "he doesn't need to be under your control!"

"come back here! i'm not done!"

jinhyuk's mom dragged him out of the kitchen and up the stairs to jinhyuk's bedroom, "are you okay baby? did that bastard slap you hard?" jinhyuk shook his head despite the stinging pain on his cheek. his step father's slaps were always hard.

"i'm okay mom" jinhyuk smiled, sitting down on his bed, his mom sitting beside him, "you don't need to worry"

"he's always nagging you about this" his mom muttered, "this is why i don't like him. i can't believe we're living under the same roof with that bastard"

jinhyuk chuckled, rolling his eyes as he touched his semi bruised cheek, "of course. you like dad"

"you remember?" his mother raised an eyebrow at him with a kind smile on her face before looking down at her hands, "that's good. i didn't think you would still remember him sweetie"

"of course i do" jinhyuk mumbled, "you used to talk about him a lot. i'm curious about how he looked like too y'know and you won't tell me"

his grandparents made sure his mom wasn't able to meet him again because he was from a poor family. despite that, he had a lovely personality and that was what made his mother fall in love with him. but of course, money always mattered more than love.

his mother only giggled, ruffling his son's head, "that's because i don't want your step father to find out. if he did, he'd tell your grandparents and it'd turn into an even bigger mess baby" his mother looked at him apologetically, "i'm sorry sweetie"

jinhyuk shook his head, smiling at his mom, "even if you don't tell me, i'll find out one day"

she let out a soft giggle and grinned, "so my lovely son is a model now huh?"

jinhyuk's cheeks flushed red, "i-i guess" he was curious as to how wooseok reacted to his pictures. he hasn't gotten a text message from him either since yesterday.

"my son is all grown up now" his mom smiled, whispering to herself, "your dad is closer than you think then" but of course jinhyuk was too occupied, refreshing his text chat with wooseok to hear what his mom said.

of course she hasn't seen him in person but she did he him on tv. she would recognize his face anywhere. and little did jinhyuk know, he met his real father too.
