"you're going on a date?" yohan's eyes sparkled after hearing the news, "where are you going? did you ask first or did jinhyuk?"

wooseok put on his sweater and looked over at yohan who was so intrigued by the date he was having, "we're going to go watch a movie and then eat"

yohan frowned, "that's it? why isn't he taking you anywhere special for his birthday?"

wooseok stopped in his tracks upon hearing the words the came out of yohan's mouth, "did you just say birthday?"

the boy on his bed nodded, snuggling onto wooseok's beloved bunny plushie he's been clinging onto all week, "didn't he tell you? yuvin told me it was today and that they were going to hang out a bit before jinhyuk is going to meet up with you"

"he— he" wooseok looked down at his sweater paws, "he didn't tell me"

he never told jinhyuk when his birthday was either so he shouldn't be saying anything. it was still a few months from now, but jinhyuk never told him his birthday was this close!

"i couldn't even get him a gift" wooseok mumbled, sitting down on the corner of his bed, pouting from end to end.

"you can get him one" yohan suggested, smiling at the boy, "you can get him one of these plushies he got you" the black haired boy pointed at the bunny one he was laying on all comfortably.

"you're killing our child" wooseok glared at him, making him nervously chuckle. he shook his head, clearing his thoughts before standing up, "lets go"

the two boys went out to the city— wooseok speed walking to make sure he could get to the plushie store on time. they were meeting with the vampire trio in thirty minutes at the ice cream shop and wooseok was scared he wasn't going to make it in time. yohan followed him from behind, catching up with the shorter's footsteps.

"this one!" wooseok grabbed the soft stuffed animal off the couch. yohan— who was panting right next to him looked up and glared at him.

"i thought you said you weren't going to get him one" yohan complained, desperately trying to catch his breath from all the running.

"but he should have one too shouldn't he?" wooseok asked, walking over to the cashier to pay for it.

he was content with the gift he got for jinhyuk. the pair made it in time and met up with the vampires before parting ways. wooseok forgot to mention how good looking jinhyuk looked. they haven't met up ever since the kiss. they were both still embarrassed about it.

"good luck on your date" seungwoo whispered into jinhyuk's ear teasingly, "make sure to kiss him for real this time"

jinhyuk's face flushed red as he jerked it away from the vampire who was laughing at him, "s-shut it!"

"yuvin!" the boy ran up to the vampire, wooseok walking behind him with the gift bag behind him.

"yohan" yuvin ruffled the boy's hair, making him giggle, "so, where do you want to go? the amusement park?" the two walked off with smiles on their faces.

"i'm going to byungchan's place" seungwoo said once wooseok caught up to them. he looked at the brunette and smiled, "have fun"

wooseok's cheeks turned noticeable red as the vampire skipped away, leaving him alone with jinhyuk. the two couldn't utter a single word for a few seconds, leaving silence in between them until wooseok cleared his throat and put the gift in front of the taller.

"y-you didn't tell me it was your birthday" wooseok mumbled, shutting his eyes closed in embarrassment as he looked away, "yohan told me"

jinhyuk looked at the gift in front of him, "you bought me a gift?" a smile appeared on his face as he ruffled wooseok's head— his attention immediately turning to the older, "i didn't want you to spend your money on me was the reason why i didn't tell you"

"but you buy me stuff too" wooseok mumbled, feeling a little guilty since jinhyuk always paid for his things.

"that's because i'm your boyfriend aren't i?"

that question caught wooseok by surprised as he looked up, his hands falling to his side slowly. the vampire's cheerful gaze was on him and he felt his heart beating way too fast for his liking. jinhyuk was his boyfriend. his boyfriend.

"j-just because you're my boyfriend doesn't mean you have to spoil m-me" wooseok huffed, making the vampire giggle, "i got you a gift anyways!"

jinhyuk's lips curved into a smile as he accepted the boy's gift. he then wrapped his arms around wooseok and kissed his cheek, "thank you cutie"

wooseok froze— jinhyuk did it again. if he could get anymore flustered than this, he'd turn into a tomato and that wasn't cute.

"o-open it when you get home" wooseok whispered, touching the spot where jinhyuk's lips once were.

jinhyuk was practically a happy dog throughout the date. they went to watch a movie and then jinhyuk took wooseok to eat. wooseok insisted on paying the bill since he was the one eating the most, but jinhyuk being the stubborn person he was, paid for it.

"i said i would pay for it!" wooseok exclaimed, crossing his arms with a pout on his face, "you never let me pay for anything"

jinhyuk simply let out a soft laugh as he ruffled the shorter's hair, "i already told you the reason mr. president" bringing back the old nickname he used to call wooseok just made him even more annoyed.

"then i'm breaking up with you!" the shorter dashed off, speed walking as fast as he can, knowing well that jinhyuk would end up catching up with him with his long lanky legs.

jinhyuk's eyes widened as he chased after the brunette, "wooseok! wait! you're not serious are you?" he caught up to the shorter— as expected— grabbing his hand and spinning him around, "y-you're not serious are you?"

the distressed expression on jinhyuk's face made wooseok giggle, making the taller even more confused, "you dummy! of course i'm not going to break up with you" wooseok mumbled, blushing at the words coming out of his mouth.

"i thought you were serious" jinhyuk pouted like a sad puppy as he laced their fingers together, "i was scared that you'll leave me like everyone else does" his voice got quiet at the end, making wooseok shake his head.

"i'm not going to leave you, you big puppy" wooseok grinned, tippy toeing to place a kiss on the taller's cheek, "only if you let me pay for some things"

jinhyuk huffed, jerking his head to the side as a sigh escaped his lips. he smiled, replying, "fine"

jinhyuk walked wooseok home since it was getting dark out. they spent the walk home talking about miscellaneous things and swinging their hands back and forth. of course wooseok did feel a little sad when they got to his house. who knows when he'll get to see jinhyuk again after his photo shoot pictures got released tomorrow?

"goodnight" jinhyuk whispered, pinching wooseok's cheek, "and stop pouting. we'll go on another date soon my lovely boyfriend"

"m-make sure you open your gift" wooseok mumbled, hugging jinhyuk tightly before letting go, "happy birthday jinhyuk"

"of course i'll open it and thank you cutie" jinhyuk beamed, "now get inside before your parents see you"

with another pout, he nodded— jinhyuk making sure he got inside before leaving and getting home quickly to open the gift his boyfriend got him. of course he just had to be greeted by all the maids and— his parents when he got inside.

"jinhyuk! sweetie!" his mom smiled at him, running over to give him a hug, "where were you all day?"

"just walking around" jinhyuk mumbled. he never had the best relationship with his parents after his mom divorced with his dad. he didn't like his step dad either and he was sure his mom didn't too. it was an arranged marriage.

"i'm going upstairs" jinhyuk told his mom, glaring at his step dad before making his way up the stairs. once he got to his room, he placed wooseok's gift on top of his bed carefully before opening the bag and looking inside.

a smile immediately appeared on his face for the hundredth time today as he took out the wolf plushie and hugged it to his heart's content. wooseok made him more happy than anyone else could.

"i told you not to get my anything" jinhyuk whispered, despite of his beating heart and his bright smile that shined on his face, "cutie"
