"Elizabeth! Ethan!" Layla yelled as she saw her two friends get off the bus. They turned their heads and saw Layla sitting at a picnic table with their other friends, Nathan, Sarah, and Henry.

"Took you long enough" Nathan said as the two sat down with their friends. "Hey, the buses are slow as fuck" Ethan snapped back jokingly.

For the next couple minutes, everyone talked, joked, and laughed about whatever they saw fit. But their fun was soon ended when the bell rang loudly, signaling everyone to head to class. Everyone begrudgingly walked inside the school, dragging their feet tiredly. Elizabeth and Nathan said their goodbyes to their group before heading off to math, Nathan's favorite subject(major sarcasm intended)

Elizabeth and Nathan sat across the room from each other, but they often pulled out their phones(only if Nathan was bored or needed help which is often)

Elizabeth sat in the desks the top right corner, and Nathan sat in the middle at the back of the room. Elizabeth felt her phone vibrate in her pocket before taking it out to see a text from Nathan.

Nathan🦊: HELP

Eli🦑: this is simple stuff! How did you even get through middle school

Nathan🦊: I honestly don't know

Nathan🦊: cheating probably

Eli🦑: that wouldn't surprise me if that were true

Nathan🦊: just tell me the answers please?

Elizabeth looked up and back at Nathan, who was making puppy dog eyes at her. She rolled her eyes and quickly sent the answers to him for the worksheet they were doing.

Nathan🦊: thank youuuu!!! You're the best

Eli🦑: I know 😉

Elizabeth shoved her phone back in her pocket quickly as she saw Mr. Yaw turning around to look at the students. "Anyone know the answer to number 3?" He asked, looking around at everyone.

When no one raised their hand to answer, he sighed loudly. "Do any of you know anything?" He asked, more to himself than the students.

Finally, someone raised their hand, which cause Mr. Yaw to smile slightly. "Yes, Hailey?"

"X equals 15?" She asked, unsure.

"Yes!" Mr. Yaw said happily. "Thank you!"

Mr. Yaw asked a few more questions, taught a new lesson, and gave the students homework before the bell rang.

Nathan and Elizabeth walked out together but quickly walked off in opposite directions due to where their lockers were. Elizabeth's locker was near Ethan's; his was only a few lockers to left of hers.

"Heeeey" Ethan said as Elizabeth walked up. "I gotta go find Nathan but I wanted to say hey before I left"

"Alright, I'll see you at lunch" Elizabeth said as she went to unlock her locker. "See you" Ethan punched her shoulder lightly before walking off.

For some reason, Elizabeth had extra trouble opening her locker today. It was at least her 6th tru when she finally got it open. She quickly threw her books into her back and loudly slammed her locker shut.

She began to walk quickly to her next class, looking down at her phone to see how late she was.

As she was doing this, someone else was walking down the hall... Also not paying attention to where they were going.

The two ran right into each other, both of them falling backwards onto the slick floor.

Elizabeth looked up, to see a pair of piercing blue eyes looking back.
