After L told me everything that has been going on I was shocked at how he grew up, I've missed him soo much...

"Ahh, ok"i said,

"So you don't need to worry I don't suspect you of being kira and Beyond thinks its best if you stay with me for a while"I nodded,

"Alright"

my eyes started to well up,

"Whats wrong JJ?"

"...I've missed you..."

I looked down a bit, then L did something I never thought he would do again, he kissed my cheek,

"I've missed you too"i smiled,

He used his thumb and wiped away the tears, I reached out and hugged him, he wrapped his arms around me and we fell back onto the sofa spread out, but I didn't care, after a few minuets we sat up and he sat how he was earlier and was sorting files and reading emails, I leaned on his shoulder and watching him,

"Hey, how much have you figured out?"

"A lot, why?"

"I've got some ideas"i said shyly,

"Can I hear them?"

"Well based on the timings of the deaths it's a student, and he or she is in the kanto region this is based merely on his first few kills"

"Hmm...."he chewed his thumb a little more, I could tell he was thinking more,

"Anything else?"

"Hmm...he has a child like idea of right and wrong..."

"Exactly what I thought..."mumbled L, I yawned " Shh...go to sleep here its fine"coed L,

I've wanted to fall asleep in his arms for ages, and then I was consumed by darkness,

I open my eyes and see that L is sleep but in the same position he was last night and I was on his arm still, I gently got up and got a small blanket, I laid him down not waking him, putting a pillow behind his head and covering him with the blanket, I kissed his forehead,

I went to get breakfast, after looking around in the kitchen I decided to go out and get something, I wrote a note and left it on the side counter and grabbed my bag and walked out the door, once I got to town I went to the grocery store and got some shopping,

after I decided I fancied something sweet so I went to the shop I went to a month ago (it feels like yesterday...) I got my usual, strawberry short cake and diet coke, I also got a bunch of sweets for Lawliet and walk back, I get though the door Lawliet was stood there, he looked like he was about to cry,

"L whats the matter??"

"Your back?!?"

"Yes, I wasn't gone that long..."

"You have been 3 hours you had me worried sick"he pulled me into a hug making me drop the bags, "don't ever do that again ok?"

"Yes I'm sorry I didn't realise I was gone for that long...."

I looked down so he couldn't see the tears pouring out my face, he lifted my head and wiped the tears away,

"It's ok just don't scare me like that..."he said and smiled at me,

"I remember your name L..."

his face lit up a bit more and he looked straight into my eyes, his dark down ones are beautiful I could easily get lost in them,

"You do? Since when??"

"I never forgot......Lawliet"

"Just like I never forgot yours...Jackie"I laughed a little, I kissed his cheek,

"I've missed you soo much..."

"I'm soo glad I found you again I miss you too"i hug him again, then the phone rang, I went over to it answered it,

???- hello is this grace?

Jackie-yes it is who is this??

???- its Beyond how are you??

Jackie- BEYOND!!! OMG I've missed you, I'm great how are you?

Beyond- im good thanks my dear, has L asked you about the kira case?

Jackie- yes why

Beyond- *sighs* if he asks you to help him promise me you will say no

jackie- w-why??

Beyond- please grace just promise me you will say no my dear...

Jackie- ok, I promise

Beyond- thank you its because this is a deadly case and you or him could get killed so dont get too attached to him...

Jackie- alright, but...ah no never mind

Jackie- yes now I have to go good bye

"Who was that?" L asked,

"Oh just Beyond"

"What did he say and what did he make you promise?"

"He said be careful and don't worry and why you asking all these questions...??"

"Oh no reason"

"You know he's got a girlfriend if that's what your worried about..."

"Yea I know an- wait why would you suggest that??"

"I-I...ugh...ah...nevermind"

"No go on tell me"

"No there's no reason"

"There is or you wouldn't of said it..."

"There isn't and it was just a suggestion"

"No don't believe that there's more to it"

"I l- ah no there isn't dont worry..."

"You wh-"

"JUST LEAVE IT LAWLIET!!!"

i run to the bathroom and lock the door, I sit next to the bath and cry...

'Why did he have to keep going on...?'

'Why did I say that??'

'Whats wrong with me?'

'I promised I wouldn't do this not only to Beyond but to myself...'

'I almost said it...I almost said something im not sure I mean...'

There was a knock on the door, and a muffled voice came though,

"JJ...I-I'm sorry, I didn't mean to say all that, I should of shut up..."I laughed a little at the use of modern words "I really am sorry, please come out"

"Please just leave me alone..."

"Jackie im sorry"

"Don't call me jackie, call me grace"

"Your safe here you don't need to use your alias..."

"Well I want to, I hate my name! I hate my life!! I hate everything!!"

"I'm sorry....grace..."

"J-just go, l-leave m-me a-alone..."

my voice was cracking, I didn't want him to go but I knew if I let him in id end up saying everything but he doesn't need to know, he cant know....it'll ruin everything...

"Ok I'm sorry"

I could hear shuffling it was getting quieter and quieter, I nuzzled my head into my knees and sobbed,

'Im sorry Lawliet I really am...'

I stand up and unlock the door, L was asleep on the other side of the wall, I walked over to him and stroked his cheek, he woke up to the touch, he looked at me and smiled, he placed his hand on mine and crippled it slightly...
