Ross rose before dawn only this time I awoke too and dressed to go stand outside with him.

"Why are you always in such a hurry to leave our bed?" I wonder slipping my arm through his and leaning my head on his shoulder as we watch the sun rise together.

"I'm in haste to embrace another Maiden." he kissed my head "Less accommodating than this one." I chuckle leaning up to smile at him

"I believe she will surrender in the End. And when she does I would like to be there." I tell him

"Above grass."

"Don't be such a spoilsport." I pout "Since you've been gone i have my own chair, a peg to hand my coat and even my own mine appraise outfit. I look way better than you do, just so you know." he chuckled  as he turned me to face him.

"It comforts me to know, when I'm in London the mine's in safe hands."

"So that's why you don't ask me to come with you." I comment and it was quiet for a moment "I better get breakfast ready before our lot get up."

i decided to visit Caroline and Sarah. Naturally Eve came with me. Heaven forbid I leave her alone for more than five minutes, yet I know I should encourage her independence . It felt like I lost either way.

"What can you mean Madam Mischief?" Caroline asks rocking Sarah "Our guest will be bored witless if you lie here still and only make that tiresome rasping sound."

"Is she sick?" I ask

"The merest of colds." she answers

"Is Dwight concerned?" I wonder

"Dwight is always concerned. She's his little Princess."

"Rebekah Grace and Emily are just the same. Eve however she absolutely refuses to be any kind of normal...like her mother. I fear for any boy to cross the path of Eve Poldark and her stubborn ways." I chuckle

"What about the boys?"

"Mama's boy's Henry more so than Isaac." I smile sadly

"What is it."

"Jonathan." I say "Henry's twin who we lost. All Henry's ever know is being an only one, he didn't get to have the same bond like Isaac and Emily do. That and he's the oldest. I believe he see's a lot more than he lets on." Caroline head tilted

"How so?"

"I don't know, it like a mothers intuition. He loves his father there's no doubt but...you'll think me silly."

"I hardly doubt it, you've proven to be one of the smartest women I know aside from myself."

"When Ross has done something...hurtful. It's almost like Henry picks up on it, he has know to be ice cold towards his father when there happens to be something amiss. He's the only one, even when Ross returned, the others ran to him. Henry held back and took my side instead" I explain.

I was in the middle of making a pie when the Prudie ran in out of breath

"The mine bells are ringing maid." she huffed

"Oh bloody hell. Mind the children." I ran out and down to the mine. I get there the same time as Drake and see Paul.

"Where's Ross?" I ask

"Still below" He askers and I run to the entrance as more miners come out

"Any wounded?!" Dwight arrives

"No. But not all are out." Paul says

"Paul!" Demelza runs over and hugs him she then looks around "Where's Sam?" she questioned

"How many are still below?"  he inquires

"Four amount them, Ross and Sam." I tell him

"Dear god" he breathes

"Zacky's out." Paul runs over to him as do I

"Ross' not here." but before i can do anything he comes out a different entrance. "Ross thank god." I ran over and embrace him.

"Is okay? Is he alive?" my husband asks and I look down. It's Bobby. Dwight begins to push on his chest till Bobby coughs up water. But there is nothing else. Dwight keeps trying and Ross tries to pull him off.

"Abigail push down on his chest while I do this." Dwight orders me I do so twice and Dwight rips a piece of his shirt covering Bobby's mouth but I see him place his lips on top and breath air "Again." I do as I'm told as does he and check. He keeps asking me to repeat it and eventually Bobby coughs out the rest of the water.

" Dwight you really can work miracles." i breath. pulling Bobby up and wrapping a blanket around him.

"Thank you." Zack says

"I think the man you should be thanking is there and there." he pointed to Ross and Sam. I move around to my husband and pull him into my embrace.
