Sixtheen ✝️

(Josh's pov)

Cleaning the floors in the morning, it's such a waste of time and energy! I could be doing something else on my own time. Maybe learn some prayers or try practicing the rosary. I don't know. This is the only way to owe what I sort of done.

As I was cleaning, my mom walked in.

"Tired?"

"No mom."

"You're now being polite. I like that. A good Catholic is always polite."

"Yes mom."

"Now Josh, since we're getting along so well, why don't you do your share and pay for the CD player."

"Yes mom."

I pulled out the $50 that Tyler gave me.

"Here it is."

I handed it to my mom. When she saw it, she smiled.

"Very good Josh. You've proved to me that you can do better."

"Yes mom."

She walked upstairs without saying how much she loved me. It hurt me to know she still thinks I'm an atheist. I'm slowly changing and she doesn't care if I do or not.

I'd rather not have her as my mom. She's less caring than any mother in the world.

(Tyler's pov)

I sat in the living room while reading my Catholic Bible. I still thought Josh was going to come over, and I already told my mother about it.

Today, I was going to teach Josh how to pray the rosary, which is my favorite prayer of all time. It's also the most beautiful prayer that gives Mother Mary a lot of love in her heart.

Before I could put out what I needed, I heard a knock at the door.

It was Josh.

"Hey!"

Hello Tyler."

"Why the long face?"

"It's been a rough day."

"I can understand." I replied. "It's been busy for me too, trying to think about what to teach you."

"What do you plan on teaching me?" Josh asked.

"The rosary."

"I've always wanted to learn that one."

I chuckled.

"Well now, you can!"

I grabbed his hand.

"Come on in Josh."

As we walked in, my mother came into the living room.

"Tyler, it's almost time for dinner."

"But Josh just came over."

"He can stay if we wants to."

I turned to Josh.

"I shouldn't stay long." He told me. "I have limited time here."

"How long?"

"Probably an hour."

"That's good. That will give us plenty of time to learn the rosary."

I took himself upstairs to my room.

"Tyler! Make sure to be gentle when praying!" My mother ordered.

I did hear what she wanted, and I never break a promise to my mother.

Even when it comes to the rosary.
