(Asuka's PoV)

"Sooo~, Asu, tell me about your new neighbor! Since you haven't spoken a single word even though you said you'd tell me."

Kiko says, nudging my shoulder. I roll my eyes and sigh, looking at her.

"Kiko, we're here so I can get my skateboard remember? Not talk about my neighbor."

"But Asu~! I'm just curious! Come on, give me one detail."

"Not listening~."

I reply, walking a bit faster. Kiko whines and tries to catch up. This girl won't give up no matter what. The whole way to the store, she continues bothering me with questions, even as we walk in the cool store. I sigh and glare sideways at her.

"The only thing on my mind right now is getting a new skateboard."

"What about after you get it. Then will you speak?"

"...fine."

I mumble rushing towards the skateboard section. Jeez how did I ever meet this girl. I browse through all the different sizes and colors of skateboards, seeing if I can find one that matches my old one.

My last board got stolen. Don't know how, don't know why. All I know is that I stop inside a convenient store to buy a bottle of water, walk out and see no skateboard, which led to me having to call Kiko to pick me up.

Why does the world have to be so cruel god damn it.

I finally find one that, although didn't look like my old one, looked like it would work perfectly. Had a cool design of the yin-yang symbol on the bottom, and it wasn't too small. I ride back and forth in the isle, testing it out.

"How can you ride that...thing?"

"Well, I don't wear high-heels, and I like to exercise. Also, this thing is called a skateboard. You should try it sometime."

"No thanks sweetie. I'll definitely fall."

I shrug and pick the board up, deciding that this one would be fine. As you can probably tell, I'm not really a total girly-girl. I mean, I like wearing dresses sometimes and feeling pretty, but a lot of the time I would rather put on some jeans a tee while riding around on my skateboard. It's just how I am.

After paying for the new board we walk out, Kiko walking while I ride along beside her.

"So! Will you answer my questions now?"

"Ugh. Fine."

"Yay! Okay, firstly, is he cute~?"

I think back to Kenshi and picture how he looked. I saw him that morning, just after I woke up. We started chatting, talking about different topics, just us on two separate balconies. I thought about his facial features and such. I shrugged.

"Yeah, sure he is."

"Tall?"

"Yeah..."

"Kind?"

"Very."

That's basically how our conversation goes for a bit. She asks a question, I answer with a 'yeah' or 'you could say that'. It continued until I suggested we stop in this place called 'Le Renard Noir'. We stop in front of it and I bend down to pick up my board, doing one of those cheesy hair flips as Kiko groans. She hates when I do that, she says it makes me look super emo with my bangs.

We walk in and as soon as we do, I instantly spot Kenshi sitting with some other guys. He turns to the door to see me as well, showing me a smile.

"Asuka, what are you doing here?"

"Oh, hi Kenshi! Nothing much. Just hanging out with my friend."

I point to Kiko, her smiling with a wave. Kenshi nods.

"I see. Don't let me stop you then."

"Actually, you know what, Asu I have to get going. I see you later!"

"Wait what?"

"Well you have your skateboard, I'm sure you'll be able to go home alright. See ya!"

She smiles and winks at me and walks out. I sigh. She's totally did that on purpose, I know it.

"Asuka, want to hang out with us? We're cool I promise."

"Haha, okay. Sounds cool."
