Rei's POV

My rage seems to have gotten the better of me. While I walked towards the guild with Natsu and the others I found the old man."Hey old man who's responsible for this?"I asked. The old man responded,"That's not important what is important is that you lots went on a S-class mission without my approval so you have to be punished." After he finished his sentence he punched Natsu and Gray,but he spanked Lucy."How can you be so freakin' calm about this gramps?!" Natsu screamed. "I have no reason to fight a coward who attacks at night." 'At night? Why would someone attack the guild at night? If it was a declaration of war I'm more than certain that the old man would decide to take action unless...' "Old man the reason your avoiding confrontation is because no one was hurt during that incident ." "That's exactly right my boy now excuse me I gotta piss.", he stated. 'He's drunk at a time like this?!' We all thought. "Anyways I think it's best to stay in a group just in case the person who attacked the guild might come for the members next," I suggested. Erza stated,"I agree staying in a group is the best course of action." "Thanks for finally agreeing with me Red,"I smirked.

Time Skip(Lucy's apartment)
Lucy's POV

'I can't believe someone could do that to the guild hall. I hope this doesn't end up with a fight.' As I was walking to my apartment I kept thinking about what happened to Rei. 'I don't get it. How is it that someone as calm as Rei could have a dark aura. I know his element is darkness but whenever he's angry it feels like I'm facing a blood thirsty monster.' As soon as I open the door I saw Natsu,Gray,Erza, and Happy. "What are you guys doing at my house?!" "You remember what Rei said, it's best to stay in a group so we came here",Erza stated. 'She does have a point', I thought. "Um Lucy what is that", Gray asked almost sounding concerned. When I turned around my face turned redder than Erza's hair. "It's a Rei hug pillow," Happy shouted. "Wow you really are crazy huh Lucy",Natsu started off. "Your a real die hard fan girl till the end " ,Gray followed up but he lost his shirt and pants,plus he's only in his boxers. " Gray your clothes." I sweat dropped. "When the hell did that happen?!" He screamed. "You frozen pervert.",Natsu stated. "What you say ash breath?!" "You heard me frostbite!" Erza shouted and punched them,"Silence!" "A-aye" they shouted together. That's when I realized one person was missing. "Hey guys where's Rei?" I asked. "Oh yes, you didn't hear about it but the master gave him an important mission to find out who destroyed the guild hall." "Isn't that a little dangerous?" I asked them,but they countered with their own question. "For the culprit or Rei?" As soon as they said that Erza pulled out a communication lacrima and it was none other then Rei. "Hey Red I just got the okay from the old man to  tell you what I dug up." Rei said "Okay tell us what you found out." ,Erza replied. "Sure apparently the person who destroyed the guild was some one called Black Steel Gajeel you ever heard of him?" He asked. "Yes he belongs to a dark guild called Phantom Lord. Not only that but I heard that he's an Iron dragon slayer." 'There are other dragon slayers besides Natsu and Rei,' I thought to myself. "Thanks for the info I know it must've been tough to get without getting caught," Erza said."No it's no problem for me thanks to my magic , but something has been bugging me." "What is it Rei?",I asked concerned. "Well don't you guys think it's strange that they destroyed the guild hall while no one was inside? Not only that but wouldn't that make us vulnerable since we mostly spend our time there? I think Phantom is trying to force us to fight, since their original plan didn't work I would assume they might try to come after the guild members next,however; I don't think  having a war against us is their primary objective in this situation. From what I heard from the old man Fairy Tail and Phantom have butted heads for a long time, so your all wondering why would they do it now? I think it's because they're targeting something and getting paid for it considering that's how most dark guilds operate. " Rei explained. 'Wow to think he could come up with this much of a detailed analysis even though he just joined the guild,it's like he's a real life detective,I thought to myself. "Anyways that's all the info I got so I'm going home i'll see you guys at South Gate Park tomorrow.",He stated. "Yes great work Rei and please get some rest.",Erza said. "Sure thing Red also, Blondie next time you have company make sure I don't see you with a hug pillow of me," he said. "How did you know about the hug pillow?!" I screamed shocked. "I didn't ,you just told me see ya," he left smirking. "Rei is a lot more perceptive  then I originally thought,he's also a great info broker. I'm sure he'll be a great asset don't you agree Lucy," Erza stated. "Yeah, but I wish he wasn't so perceptive to find a certain object on my bed," I said looking at the hug pillow. "You liiiiiiiiike hiiiim,"Happy said to me. "Shut up you stupid cat!"

Time Skip (Morning)
Rei's POV

It's time to meet the others I better hurry. As soon as I created a portal from my room to South Gate Park  I had really bad feeling that something terrible happened. When I went through the portal and got to the park their was a lot of people around the tree. I was wondering to myself what might have happened. What I saw was something I never thought would happen.  On the tree was Levy,Droy, and Jet pinned down with iron shackles. All of them were badly bruised but what angered me the most was that on Levy's stomach was Phantom Lords mark. I walked up to the tree with my hair shadowing my eyes. As soon as I touched the poles they turned into dust. I caught Levy in my arms bridal style as she was unconscious. Then I felt a familiar magic power but I didn't need to turn around to know who it is. I asked one simple question, "Is this a good enough reason to go to war now Master Makarov?" " I can handle my bar being destroyed, I can handle our guild hall being in pieces, but when they spill the blood of my children is when they made their point clear. Phantom Lord get ready because of  what happened to our family we are going to war!" , the old man screamed. Suddenly he turned to me as if seeking an answer. "Rei my boy do you think you can lead us into this war?"

"Look old man I don't care if a dark guild, the devil or God himself did this. Anyone who tries to take away something important to me will have no mercy. They will learn the true terror of darkness. They will feel the rage of a dragon. Most importantly they will feel the wrath of a Fairy Tail wizard. So that's why i'll say this. Phantom Lord may be dark guild, but when i'm through with them......" I showed the old man my eyes.

"They'll be begging for the light."
