EPILOGUE

It's been quite a while since Rachel Takao's death. The students were very affected, especially Bakugou and Kirishima. Boys weren't very good at it, both of them broke down completely.

"If you're reading this, it means I'm dead..."

Both received letters from Takao, teenager decided to write them just in case. In her heart she had a feeling that this would be her fate.

"I can't write letters, let alone farewell letters..." Kirishima read the letter alone in his room. "I don't even know what to say." Takao wrote. "Im' sorry... I know we talked about something else in school, and now it all ends up differently. Believe me, I didn't want to do that, I wanted to be with you, try New life, get to know it again. I really, really wanted this. I don't know how I died right now, but if it really happened, then there had to be a reason for it. Or I lost the fight with Hiroto and he killed me... Or I have already lost my strength... It seems that both versions are not the best, and the second one is definitely worse. You can hold it against me, you can hate me if it only helps you. But know that after so many years of torment and futile struggle, I was just fed up with everything. Many times I wanted to end this but held back for the sake of my brother and the others. Now I was also trying to endure it to be with you, but as you can see, it didn't work out well... I don't want you to break down Eijiro, I don't want you to cry, it's definitely better for you with a smile on your face, believe me. I love you very much, you're like a brother to me and it certainly will never change. I was and still am very grateful for your support and warm words, I needed it, thank you for giving it to me. If I could have this last request from you, it would be that you should always be by Katsuki's side. Always like you have been before. From the very beginning, I saw how strong your bond is. He won't admit it, but he needs you and he's grateful for your presence, I'm sure of it. Stay with him, please... Stay together. Whatever is going on with you right now, only you can help him, Kiri... Only you. Thank you again for everything, thank you for being with me. You're a great man and you'll be an equally extraordinary hero. I believe it and I believe in you.

Ray-chan " He finished reading and then started crying loudly again.

Bakugou was visiting the deceased girl's grave very often. Practically every day. Sometimes he would come here alone and sometimes with Kirishima, they always brought her fresh flowers, sunflowers, which Takao liked so much.

"You only left a stupid letter and some poor memories... " Katsuki said looking at the name of teenager carved on the tombstone. "Now what, Ray? " He sat opposite the grave and stared at him blankly. "No, I'm not angry... I'm furious! Pissed off to the max! " Shouted and then sighed and hid his face. "Even Denki and Deku's stupid behavior cannot break me as much as your death..." Said, wiping away tears. "Have you lost your strength...? You gave up...? You saved us... " More tears appeared in his eyes. "What am I supposed to do now? Hm? What should I do, spooky fairy? " Talked to her. "All I have to do is keep that goddamn promise and be number one. Like I said... And like you said..." He wiped away his tears and sighed heavily. "I'm gonna be number one, and just so you know I will! No matter what! You'll see... I'll prove it to you, Ray... And you watch, okay? " He hid his face again and began to cry.

Boy often talked to her, he said what was going on, what were the lessons, trainings and arguments with Deku. He told about everything that happened.

"There was an action recently ..." He said. "And we saved the little girl ... Her name is Eri." Said. "You would like her, I'm sure. She'll probably love you too. " He ran his hand through his hair and placed a fresh bouquet of flowers on her grave. "Maybe I'll introduce her to you one day? " Wondered. "Would you like to meet her? She's a strange kid, but... She's in her own way ... Like you would call it ... Lovely or cute. " He smiled involuntarily. "When I look at her... Sometimes I see you in her. " Sighed heavily. "Stupid, huh? And yet..." He looked at the tombstone again. "I miss you... Ray... "

After a long time, Katsuki kept his promise and brought the little girl to Rachel.

"This is Ray-chan? " Little Eri asked and looked at the tombstone.

"Yes. " Bakugou replied. "Put those sunflowers for her, she liked them a lot."

Eri nodded and placed the flowers on the grave.

"Ray-chan, I'm Eri. " Little girl said, putting the gift she had brought. "Very nice to meet you. " She smiled faintly and then went to Bakugou and grabbed a piece of his jacket. "What was she like? " She asked, looking at her taller companion.

"She was..." An image of the dead girl flashed through his head. "A little..." He hesitated and then sighed. "Similar to you..."

"You miss her? " Eri asked looking at Katsuki.

"Yes..." He admitted shyly. "Every day. "

"Writing a letter to you is even more of a problem for me than I thought, but well... I'll try to express it somehow, I promise it won't be long. You prefer short and to the point, huh?

Well... What can I say? I'm sorry... I really am... I didn't want to leave, but it turned out completely different. I wanted to stay with you, see you become heroes, beat Deku and become number one. I may not see it up close, but I'll definitely see it... Give it your all, Katsuki. I know you can do it, I believe in you.

I didn't want to live like this... Actually... I just wanted to feel needed for a moment. And feel needed... At the time of death. I finally understood that. That's enough for me...

Thank you for everything you did for me, for being with me and listening to my talk. Thanks to this, I felt that I'm not alone, that I still have you. You're not alone now either, you know? Kiri is still with you and will always be, I know that. So please don't push him away and keep sticking together. You need him and he need you. I hope that at least in this way it will be easier for you to continue your life. You both were very important to me... And you still are. Thanks to you guys, I still felt that I had a family, that I hadn't lost everything yet.

It was supposed to be short, and I'm starting to write about it, but I want to tell you one more thing that I would never have had the courage to say to your eyes... I think I probably loved you, Katsuki. Or maybe I just had a crush on you... It's hard for me to define my feelings, and I don't want to hurt you with them. I don't know if you reciprocated it, but I just wanted you to know it. And I say 'probably' because the concept of 'love' has always been one big mystery to me. So far, I have loved only one person from outside the family ties... I was a hundred sure of this feeling, but unfortunately I lost him too... But I hope to see him at least after my death. I really hope so.

Thank you and... I'm sorry.

Ray "

"Stupid, Ray. " Bakugou said at the mere mention of girl's list. "Yes, dummy..." Whispered. "I..."

"What did you say? " Kirishima asked, approaching him.

"Doesn't matter. " He replied and together with his companion he went to Rachel's grave, and there they met someone who they didn't expect. "You...? Boy was surprised. "I thought..."

"That I'm dead? " The other asked, then took off his hood and looked at the students. On the right side of his face was a long blade mark across his eyelid and cheek. It was Dara, he hadn't died at all. Hiroto tried to kill him but failed. He persuaded his daughter that it was otherwise, because he wanted to break her down even more. "Maybe it would be better if I died, huh? " He looked sadly at the tombstone. "But if I had died then..." He had previously put fresh sunflowers on her grave.

"What happened with you? " Kirishima asked after he had laid flowers on his friend's grave.

"It would be a lot to tell. " He replied thoughtfully and he looked blankly at the tombstone of the dead woman. "We both knew how it would end, didn't we, Ray-chin...?" He said sadly. "However... It was you who was supposed to survive..." Bakugou lowered his head at his words, he remembered his last conversation with Dara, that Katsuki was supposed to protect Rachel. "How are you at school? " He changed the subject and looked at the students.

"It's going somehow..." Eijiro replied. "You're not going to come back? "

"Nah..." Dara said, then sighed. "I have a few more things to do. " Said looking at Rachel's tombstone at the same time. Dara himself was also very much affected by the death of his really close friend. He couldn't believe it when he found out about it.

Only when he saw her body did this painful truth come to him. He wanted to protect her, he wanted at least she would survive it. He should have died, not her. Dara couldn't forgive himself for not saving her. There was a huge emptiness in his heart.

"Just don't do anything stupid. " Bakugou interjected seeing Dara's sadness. "She wouldn't want that. " He nodded at the tombstone.

Dara smiled involuntarily and then looked again at the tombstone. Boy went to the grave, kissed his hand and put it to the stone part of the tombstone.

"See you later, Ray-chin... " He said goodbye and then passed the students of U.A. and headed for the path he knows only.

"You care? " He remembered the conversation with Takao when they were still trapped by Hiroto. "Just admit it".

"I care and what?! " He shouted and looked at girl standing next to him.

"So say it straight. " She looked him in the eyes. "Today is the only day we can free Connie."

"I know, Ray-chin..." He nodded.

"Dara..." Takao walked over to him and took his hand. " Don't take it all on yourself. I'm with you, idiot! " She hit him on the head. "I'll listen to you if you want to. Don't close yoursefl on me again..." She punched him in the chest. "Open the door to that cold heart for me. " Said devastated.

"I don't have a heart, Ray-chin. " He said indifferently.

"Dara..." She looked at him pleadingly.

"Someone stole it from me. " Boy whispered to her and then kissed her cheek and dragged her into the corridor. "Come on, time is short. "

Their relationship after that was much more colder, much happened, and many bad things. Unfortunately.

"You love him? Dara remembered the moment he overheard Rachel's conversation with Connie shortly after Yui's death. "You do? "

"Why are you asking me that now? " Teenager was surprised.

"Just answer. " Boy insisted.

"Yes..." She replied after a long moment. "I loved... I love him..." Said. "He ended it. " She reminded her with tears in her eyes. "He didn't listen to me anymore, he rejected me... He didn't even explain anything... I tried to reach him, fight for us, and he... He just walked away... He left me... "

"He wanted to protect you. " Connie was saying.

"I didn't want him to protect me! I just wanted him to be with me! " Rachel cried. "Stupid, Dara..." She cursed at boy who overheard their conversation.

Dara had pushed Rachel away from himself, finished what had brought them together, even though he himself didn't want to. But he felt that it had no future, and Hiroto would only use it against them, which was why he treated Rachel so coldly. He had left her and he wanted to make her hate him, he wanted her to forget, to start a new life.

"I'm sorry, Ray-chin..." Dara said to himself as he continued his way. "I screwed up. " A few drops of tears escaped from his eyes. "I'm sorry... " He cried, and after a while he heard the bus honking, boy was standing on the straps, and when he heard the noise, he simply looked at it and sighed heavily. "Ah, fuck it..." He snorted. "Enough... Already..."

"So that's why there were always fresh flowers, not just the ones from us. " Kirishima said as Dara was gone.

"Yeah..." Katsuki nodded.

"He..." Eijiro started but Bakugou cut him off.

"He loved her. " He finished for his friend.

"Ray-chan..." Eijiro adjusted the bouquets of flowers. "We'll visit you again soon. " He smiled and then headed towards the exit. "You're coming? " He looked at Bakugou standing at the grave.

"In a second. " Boy replied to him and then he turned to Rachel again. "I was gonna tell you when I knew what my name would be as a hero..." Recalled. "Dynamight. " He said to her. "Remember that. " Nodded. "Dynamight, number one hero. " He put his hands in his pockets and looked at the grave for the last time. Then went to Kirishima waiting for him, the students took their hands and returned to home together.
