The next morning, the sun shone brightly, casting a warm glow over everything. Birds chirped happily in the distance, and the cool breeze filled her with confidence. Today, she was determined to finally have a friendly conversation with Ryan .   In the classroom, she found herself making a new friend - Olivia who was kind and bubbly. She could never  find the right moment to approach Ryan, the boy she had been wanting to talk to.That evening, as the sky turned golden, she finally saw a chance. She took a deep breath and began walking toward  Ryan. But  she hesitated, unsure of what to say, her new friend Olivia noticed. Smiling knowingly, stepped in to help.Emily feeling a bit nervous, glanced at Ryan and said softly, “Sorry for not saying anything earlier... and thanks for the necklace. Ryan didn’t respond right away. Instead, he gave her a small smirk,  . He said nothing, leaving her in suspense. 

She stood there for a moment. She had expected some kind of reaction but his silence left her feeling even more uncertain.Olivia, noticing the look on Emily's face,  “He’s always like that—don’t overthink it. You’ll figure him out eventually.” Still feeling a bit uncertain she nodded. “I hope so…”.She stood there, confused and unsure of how to feel. Olivia , always curious and supportive, asked, “So, what do you really want to say to him?”.After a long pause, Yi replied softly, "Nothing. Olivia sighed, and said  "Best friends since diapers".  Olivia grinned. "Now, spill it. What really happened?".With some hesitation, Emily explained everything that had been bothering her—how things had been awkward between her and Ryan, how she wasn’t sure if she had done something wrong.Olivia  listened carefully and then reassured her, "He’s always like that. Trust me, don’t overthink it. I’ll sort this out for you." She  nodded and began packing her things. Olivia  always cheerful, suggested, "Let’s head home together.

"Okay," she  agreed, grateful for her new friend..As they were about to leave, Ryan approached them. "Olivia are you coming home?" he asked casually. But she, in her playful manner, smiled and replied, "Nope! I’m going home with my new friend, Emily .As Emily and Olivia walked home together, the streets were quieter than usual, with the glow of the setting sun

Though Emily kept the conversation light, Olivia mind kept wandering back to Ryan. She had known him for so long, yet recently everything felt different. His silence, his distant smirks—it all confused her.Emily  noticed her friend’s distracted expression. “You’re still thinking about him, aren’t you?”She sighed, looking down at the sidewalk. “Yeah… I just don’t understand. We used to talk about everything, and now it’s like there’s this wall between us.”Emily nodded  “Maybe he’s going through something. But whatever it is, it’s not your fault, Olivia . And remember, boys are weird with their emotions. They sometimes don’t even know what they’re feeling.”Olivia  laughed softly. “You think?”.“I know,” Emily grinned. “Trust me, give him time. And if you ever need to vent, I’m always here.”
