Chapter Fourteen
"All passengers boarding the flight to Maldives, should go to the second gate," A female voice announced in the speakers. "I repeat,Every passengers should go to the second gate."
"And that's your cue." Cassie hugged Ella,as they both got up from the waiting chair they had been sitting over an hour. "I would miss you."
Ella rolled her eyes. "This trip was your idea, remember? Don't go all fountain on me now."
Cassie sniffed while trying to blink the tears away.
It's been two weeks now ever since she stopped working for William. She didn't get another job yet. She and Cassie saw each other a whole lot during the last week, They talked about many things and even went out to the amusement park with the children, while Ansela remained elusive.
At first,Ella felt that Ansela was angry with her because of the fight she and William had,but she soon later got to find out that,Ansela was in fact, busy securing a passport for her and was also planning a two weeks trip for her.
Ella was happy with the fact that they planned something like that for her. They told her that it was just to help her relax and not over think things, and since she had never traveled out of Philly before, she agreed instantly.
Another reason she agreed was because, it would help distract her from the stupid thoughts she was having about William lately. She felt really bad after that huge row they had,and was tempted to call him many times but never went through with it.
Shopping with Cassie also took her mind of things for a while. Cassie made sure that she bought a two piece bikini and other beach wears, since she was obviously going to a place where the sun was warm and nice with beautiful beaches.
Even though she does not know where Maldives is, Ella googled it the other day and was satisfied with what she saw. It was the perfect place for a get away. She even fantasized about spending her honeymoon there, that is,when she finds the one she truly loves and who loves her back.
"Blame the hormones. I swear that this pregnancy, is making me go all over the place. It never felt like this with Ana or Bell."
"Maybe that's because you are having twins this time." Ella teased as she picked her box from the chair beside her.
"No way." Cassie laughed. "Ana and Bell are trouble enough,But,Twins? Now that would be suicide."
"But you'll love them." Ella grinned back. "Cassie, are you sure that you have no surprise waiting for me in Maldives?"
Cassie shook her head.
"Remember that you promise not to return until you complete the two weeks."
"I do." Ella grinned. "I liked that you booked me the economy class. I personally think first class is just a waste of money."
"I knew that you would like it,that's why. Although I would have loves to book the first class for you. We can still change it if you want."
"Thanks, but no thanks. I prefer it that way. After all the money you spent,I don't think I would be able to accept more."
"You're worth it,Ella. Take care of your self okay?"
"Yes mom."
"All passengers boarding the flight to Maldives should please, report to the second gates within twenty five minutes." The female voice announced again.
"Go now or you'll miss your flight." Cassie nudged her forward gently. "Call me when you touch down in Maldives. And oh,do you remember the address to the hotel I told you about?"
"I do." Ella rolled her eyes. "And even if I don't, I have Google on my phone. Gotta go."
They hugged each other and after series off goodbyes,Ella finally walked towards the second gate. As she joined the queue, she stole a quick glance at Cassie and saw the satisfied smile on her face.
Something nagged at the back of her mind that Cassie was hiding something from her,but Ella shrugged.
Cassie won't do something she won't like behind her back.
Or so she thought.
~*~*~*~*~
William watched Ansela struggle with his traveling box,he had asked her to give it to him several times, but the chit only brushed him off, murmuring things about Feminist and all other stuff.
She was the reason why he was going away on a two weeks trip to Maldives in the first place. Ever since Ella quitted, she was constantly breathing down his neck about him taking a break from work and enjoying life more.
He declined at first, but knowing Ansela and her pest-y ways,he gave in to her demands. He was glad he did, because thinking back on it now,he honestly needed a break, from work.
And your desire for Ella Milestone.
A little voice whispered in the back of his mind.
William shook his head to clear his head of any thoughts. That stupid voice wouldn't leave him alone, ever since the day he kissed Ella in the gym house. He who never had wet dreams before, began to have more than he could really count and it was downright annoying.
He truly felt sorry for accusing her about kissing him first, when really he was the one who initiated it.
His ego and pride stopped him for going over to her place to ask her to come back to work for him. If he must really tell the truth, he missed her a bit. And even if she only prepared coffee for him once,he missed her coffee and the smell of food each time he got home from work.
"-- will be fine." He heard Ansela finish saying.
Not wanting to let her know that he didn't hear half of what she said,he hummed in reply.
"You were not really listening, were you?" She dropped the large box beside him and placed her hands on her hips with a pout.
William scratched his head. "Not really." He admitted.
"I won't get angry with you because you agreed to go on this trip." She informed him. "But I would get angry if you do not complete or enjoy this trip. And remember, you promised that you won't work from there."
"I promise." He rolled his eyes. "Why do you think that I would return early from my trip?"
Ansela shrugged. "Nothing. Knowing you as well as I do,you might decide that you are bored about the trip or something. Maldives is a really great place, which is why I chose it in the first place. Enjoy the beach and get cosy with beautiful girls, you need it."
"I'll pretend that you didn't just say that." William pulled her close and hugged her. "Be good while I'm gone, okay?"
"Okay." She beamed at him. "I won't get into trouble, and I look forward to the pictures you promise to send me. Oh, and I booked you a first class flight knowing how much you don't like Economic."
"I don't remember telling you that I don't like Economy flight. In fact, I told you that first class is a waste of money."
Ansela bit her lower lip. "You did? Well I don't remember."
"Annie,I hope you did not plan anything I wouldn't like?"
Ansela shook her head with an innocent look on her face.
"All passengers boarding the flight to Maldives, should please go to the second gate within twenty five minutes."
"And that's your cue to leave, dear brother." Ansela stepped back when he tried to hug her again. "Sheesh, one would think I am your girlfriend not sister, with the way you are acting."
"You are my little pet." He smirked at the annoyed look on her face as he picked his box up and walked to the baggage section.
"You would regret calling me that." She shouted at his retreating back. "Baby Will."
William turned to give her one last look over his shoulder. He frowned when he saw that familiar mischievous glint in her eyes. He started to turn and ask her about it,but they announced that the gates would be closing in five minutes, so he left her and walked to the baggage section.
Whatever was waiting for him in Maldives,William was sure that he won't like it.
~*~*~*~*~
"So, do you think that they would like it?" Ansela asked Cassie on their way back to their cars,in the airport parking lot.
"They would. How I wish I would be there when they see each other. The look on their faces would be priceless i'm sure."
"William suspected something." Ansela bit her lips again. "He would be really mad, when he discover that we tricked him."
Cassie placed an assuring hand on her arm. "As would Ella. And since we both made them promise that they won't come back until the two weeks is up,they would have to tolerate each other. And maybe, they would finally give into each other and just get it over with."
"You think so?"
"I know so. Now come on loosen up." Cassie smiled at her when they got to the car. "What do you say, should we get some ice cream before heading home?"
"We promised Kaden and Ace that we would get back Asap, you know how Ana gets when she does not see you."
"Oh,please." Cassie rolled her eyes again. Something she seems to be doing a lot ever since she discovered that she's pregnant. "I need a break too. I am pregnant, remember? And once I get back home,Kade won't let me have any ice cream, because the doctor says so and blah blah."
"I feel bad about this."
"Oh come on." Cassie whined. "It's just one itty bitty cup,I promise. You don't have to tell Kade about it. Please, pretty please with a whole lot of vanilla and strawberry ice cream as icing?"
Ansela scrunched her nose and gave her sister-in-law a side long glance. The hopeful look on Cassie's face did her in.
"Okay fine." She sighed.
"Finally!" Cassie jumped up and down like a five year old. "Thank you so much."
"But only one cup."
"Just one,I promise."
Ansela finally smiled. "Then let's go get it."
