"You knew he loved you?" Her words slap me in the face. "And you didn't reply?"

"I thought he was joking," I put my head down in shame. "I thought he was only trying to cheer me up like he always did. Not a lot of people actually show affection to me, so I put barriers up."

"Did you not try to open up to Taehyung?" She asks. "Did you not give him a chance to prove himself?"

"It's not my fault that everyone I open up to steals my heart and locks it up somewhere I can't find." I snap. "You have no idea what I went through as a kid so stop assuming."

"Then tell me," I stiffen. "I am all ears."

"You really want me to tell you?" I sigh, scratching my neck. "Fine, but I didn't have a great childhood."
