Aiden's POV

" It's 3pm in Newyork time.
Good Afternoon! This is City News. Mr.Elijah Mathews, The Chairman of the renowned Mathew group of Industries, has arranged a grand birthday party for his lovely wife. On behalf of this occasion, he has invited a lot of celebrities and important people from business world. Stay tonight with us for more details."

The news about my mom's birthday party flashed on the tv screen. This party might be the best time to announce my wedding officially. I just need to do one thing correctly, pretend to be in love with that girl.

" Aiden, Everyone is waiting for you." Kane brought me back from my thoughts. I soon reached the meeting hall and took my place among others. The presentations on a new game were made.

" Aiden, what do you think ? " Kane asked me with excitement.

" Great ! This totally exceeded my expectations. So does this project have a name now?" I asked at the end of their presentation.

" Yes Sir. How about the name Mystery Island ? " The man who presented, suggested a name.

" Nah.. It's too old fashioned. I need something modern and catchy. Any other suggestions? "

" How about Ferocity : The Clan War ?" Miss.Campbell suggested.

" Good.. then it's settled. I really liked the presentation. You all did a good job, Well done. So, strategy department please proceed with further works regarding it and submit it to me. Miss.Campbell, come up with the promotion plans for this game in advance. We will launch our official announcement trailer about the game in 2 weeks time. " I informed everyone.

" No problem Sir."

" Alright let's end here. Dismiss. We have lot of work to do."

When I came back to my office, I heard a knock on my door. It was Kane.

" What's next Kane ? " I asked him.

" I have the best news, Your Engagement news is already out and there is a huge increase in our company's share value.Your Engagement with Amelia really did us a huge favour this time."

" Thank God ! And don't forget to send a bouquet with a thank you note to her place . Now let me go home and get ready. I have a party to attend."

" Aiden, Won't you be more sincere if you give it yourself? " He asked me with a smile.

" Aren't you my best and wise assistant Mr.Kane ? " I asked him calmly.

" Yes ofcourse! " He said with a proud smile.

" Then why are you not obeying my orders? And Kane, you are becoming very talkative now a days " I yelled.

He just blinked at me for few seconds.

"A-Alright, if there is nothing else , I'll go and do my work. But remember Aiden, she is going to be your wife so please be nice to her. Don't forget that you are using her for your company benefits. "

" She is going to be my fake wife. And I pay her, so technically she is my employee. I'm not using her. It's her job to be my wife. " I replied with frustration.

" If you say so.. " with that said he left my office.

That Evening...

I reached Mia's apartment and knocked her door.

" Miss.Campbell ? " To my surprise, it was Emily who opened the door .

" Come in, Mr.Mathews. Please call me Emily and she is almost ready."

" Thank you, Emily." I sat on the couch and looked around. Mia's house looked very small, but gave me a cozy, homely feeling.

" I'm sorry for being late. Can we leave?" Mia came out from a room.

She was wearing a pink dress which held her in a perfect way and made her look even more beautiful.

" Wow Mia! You look stunning." Emily hugged her.

" The play has started,and now it's time to flex my acting skills. Right?" Mia asked looking at me. I too agreed with her, as we both left her place.

" You look Beautiful." I complimented her. She was quite surprised by my comment but gave a small smile and got inside the car.

" Thanks.. You look good too." She looked nervous.

" Hey .. We got this. Don't worry. Just take a deep breath and relax. It's just a birthday party with few guests." I tried my best to make her feel comfortable. Soon we reached the mansion,I could notice guys with big cameras taking pictures of the guests.

" Alright, Look at me ! " I said gently.
She turned towards me and I cupped her face in my hands and made her to meet my gaze.

" You look beautiful. Just be yourself and you will be fine. I'll be there with you. Clear ?" She gave a nod.

" Good! " I gave a gentle kiss on her forehead and got outside to open her door. We linked our arms as we walked towards the entrance.

" Hello, Mr.Mathews. Who is your date for tonight? She looks beautiful! "

" Is it true that you got engaged? When will be the marriage? "

" Who is she ? What happened to Miss.Tina?"

" Mr. Mathews, Can you both give us a pose?"

" Sir, Is it true that you are signing an important deal with GK groups? "

" Tell us about your future projects? "

The reporters started to throw all sorts of questions towards us once we reached the entrance.

" Yes! I'm engaged. This is my beautiful fiance whom I'm going to marry soon. And Miss.Tina, she is just a good friend of mine.We are in talks with Mr.Kingston, but the deal is yet to be confirmed. Regarding the new game, you all have to wait for an official announcement which will be released soon. Thank you." I replied them.

" Sir, one picture with your fiance? "

"Sure!"

I pulled Mia closer and she looked at me straight in the eyes. From her cheeks to her plump lips, I couldn't help but stare at her beauty. It was hard resisting the feeling to kiss her full lips. Camera's flashes and clicking sounds brought back my senses.

' What the hell happened just now? I have never felt like this before. Stupid Aiden.'

We moved inside, still holding our hands.
Holding hands with her felt good for some unknown reason. What the hell is wrong with me.

"I'm happy that you are here. And you must be his secret girlfriend. You look so beautiful dear." My mom welcomed us and hugged her.

' Uh.. Secret girlfriend? No mom. More like a hired fiance ' I mentally rolled my eyes.

" Happy Birthday Mom! This is Amelia. And a small correction, she is my future wife." I replied with a chuckle.

" You proposed her? Oh my God! Welcome to our family dear." She shouted in joy.

" Happy Birthday Mrs.Mathew." Mia wished her with a smile and gave her a gift.

" Call me Helen or how about mom, even better right? Elijah should meet you." Mom's excitement went to another level. She looked around searching for my father.

My mom, the most loving person in my life. I have never seen her without a smile on her face. My dad treats her like a queen. When I decided to get married,I was sure about one thing, my mom will definitely like Mia.

" S-Sure .. Mom " Mia replied with a smile.

" Come. I would like to introduce you to someone." I told Mia and we both moved towards one person who has been staring at us for a long time. My Father.

" Aiden, Stop fooling around. Who allowed you to get engaged? Did I agree to this ?" My Father whisper yelled.

" Do I need your permission? Don't forget you fired me from my own company." I fumed.

" Let me remind you that I'm your father. " He warned me. Then he gave Mia a disgusting look.

" Miss, You should listen to me. It's not too late to step away."his cold eyes pierced through her.

She looked dumbfounded which was interesting. It was like she was immune to his threats.

" Don't scare your Daughter -in -law. Come straight to me if you got a problem."

My Father is a good man but he is someone who likes to make profit out of everything. A typical business man. I worked really hard to make AiMat as one of the top gaming companies. On the other hand,my father manages Mathew group of industries and to have successful deals, he usually pull me into his business in the name of marriage proposals. That's why he suggested that I get married to Catherine. He judge people based on their standard of living in the society but I hate it. I know the only thing that is true about him is his love for my mom.

" Shut up. I have heard enough nonsense. There are too many people here. We'll talk about this somewhere else. " He yelled and left the place.

I asked Mia to stay with my mom and followed my father not before placing a small kiss on her cheeks. My sudden kiss made her blush which was cute.

' Hmmm.. Get a hold Aiden '

" What do you want ? " he asked me once we came away from the crowd.

" What do I want? You know that very well."

" Is this how you talk to your father ? " he yelled.

" Like Father, like son " I smiled.

" I'm trying to protect the name of the Mathew family. But your actions have totally shamed it. Do you know our guests today were all the people with high ranks in New York. Who are you trying to impress? Just because you're a CEO of a growing company, doesn't mean you rule the world."

" Stop it. I achieved this position on my own. " I yelled.

" You achieved this because you're my son and had the support from this family. "

" You never.... " I stopped as I heard some familiar voice and loud noises from outside. We both rushed towards the party hall.

I saw Mia standing there surrounded by Mr.Kingston and Ms. White?

What the hell is happening here?
