Amelia's POV

" Ahh.. don't do that.. go to the other end. Wait for my signal.. " I yelled at Emily.

" That stupid punk .. Mia!! He irritates me a lot." she replied.

( Don't be afraid!! Fear only brings destruction!! )

" Destruction? Do you think we will die like this? Mia !! I don't wanna die." Emily whined.

" Okay !! Here we go.. follow my lead Emily. Let's do this."

( Don't be afraid!! Destruction!! Destruction!! Destruction!! This leads to a destruction !! )

" Emily steady down the bottom line. Don't come over. I'll handle him. !! " I informed her.

With the set of perfect co-ordinated moves, we attacked him once again. He attacked us once again but with our wave of strong kill, he died again.

" Ufff .. Nice !! Two kill, One death and Four assists." Emily smiled at me.

" Alright!! Let's take the big guy, after this wave. We can do this! " My response cheered her.

" Got it!! Let's go for it."

The big guy marked Emily with his skill, but she avoided it. And sealed it with a double kill.

" Emily!! You are on fire..And his operation is too impulsive. "

" Mia.. Concentrate .. it's the last wave. Push it. They are approaching us! " Emily warned me.

" Yup.. I'm on it. I'm using my ultimate skill here.. Attack.. " I yelled once again.

We both attacked the Big guy and his Shooter. They tried their best to fight us back.

" Emily .. Get ready for a Counter attack!"
I informed her before getting into action.

" It's time to demolish their base " Emily said. I gave her a nod.

( Mia, You have aced it.)

" The final blow !! " I yelled.

" Yeah.!!! We won it ...That was awesome!! " Emily stood up on her chair and started to celebrate. I laughed at her.

Playing video game along with her is always fun. Emily got a day off as she spent her weekends working.We both love to play video games and we ace in it. This might be another reason for her to work for AiMat Incorp. AiMat is one of the most recognisable names in gaming industry.Their recent blockbuster, 'Revival Warcraft' is emblematic of company's rigorous attention to graphic and motion details.I never considered playing games as a serious profession,but we both always find some time to have matches against random players.

" Now back to reality !! You accepted the offer? You are getting married to Aiden Mathews. Shut up. " Emily asked me while turning off her PC. I told her everything that happened in past two days. First, she got shocked when I announced that I got engaged to that jerk. Then she started to mock at my situation.

" I need a drink.. This is insane. "

"A fake marriage. Married for a year And then we will get divorced not to forget he will get his company back. What can I do ? He blackmailed me that if I violate his deal, I have to pay thrice the contract amount." I sighed.

" Three times ? Three times, my ass !! Do you think he can do that? Dear Mia, you got spooked by some absurd lie again? " She started to laugh.

" Does this look like a joke to you? He was going to press charges and not to mention I lied to my family that he is my boyfriend. He cleverly grabbed that situation as his opportunity to trap me." I frustrated.

"Mia, Are you sure? Once you go by his rules there is no going back.I have some money I saved up too. I can help you with it. "Emily said while taking her phone to transfer the amount she had saved up.

" Em.. I'm happy that you are helping me. But what about next month or after that? He promised me a good job.This is all I can pay him back for the help he is doing.You know my situation, I can't find a proper job with my current blackmark."I rejected her help.

" I can't believe that this is happening " A small tear rolled down from my eye.

" Okay.. calm down. Is this really worth? All this effort? " She asked me by showing the contract file. I grabbed it from her hand and glared at her.

" Fine.. So how's the studying coming along on your fake fiance? " She teased me.

" The more I learn , the more I hate him. Not only he was born with a diamond spoon in his mouth, he is smart and good at sports. " I said.

" Plus, he is hot !! " Emily smirked. I couldn't agree more. She had a point. Recently, he even got selected at one of the top 10 most handsome global leaders by TIMES Magazine.

' Amelia Thompson, you snagged yourself a pretty impressive fiance ' I could hear my mind mocking at me.

" Alright !! I'm cooking your favourite dinner today ! Come, let's go shop few groceries and vegetables." That's her way of cheering me. I mean, Food is my love language.

At the Grocery shop..

" Can you accompany me tommorow to choose a dress. I'm going to meet his parents? " I asked her.

" Sure.. Meeting his parents in private or its like a gathering? " She asked me while choosing some sauce for the dish.

" Does it matter ? "

" Ofcourse!! We have to choose a dress based on the situation. Call him and ask. And Mia, I'm making a Korean Style Ravioli, Go get the cheese and meat. I'll get the vegetables " Emily instructed me.

I gave her a nod, took my phone and called Aiden.

" Hello " I heard his deep voice from the other side.

" Hello, This is Mia. Can I talk to you for few minutes. "

" Err.. Sure.. Is everything okay ? " He asked me. I could hear him flipping pages, he is probably working.

" I'm sorry to disturb. Regarding the dress for tommorow, What kind of meeting will it be? " I asked him.

" Oh.. It's my mom's birthday. So there will be a party. " He replied.

" Ok.. thank.. " I got intrupted by the sudden loud noise.

" Mia, Where are you? Mia.. Mia.. " I heard Aiden's voice once again in my ears.

" Y-Yeah.. I'll call you in few minutes." I cut his call and followed towards the noise.

" Emily " I gasped in astonishment at the sight in front of me. I saw Emily lying on top of a guy, while the vegetables and baskets scattered around them. Soon the guy realised my presence and got up while helping Emily to stand up from the floor.

" Kane ? What? I mean .. What happened here? " I asked the guy.

Kane Rogers

I have never seen him in casuals,So he looked very different. It took me few seconds to recognise his familiar face.

" Miss.Thompson? " He was shocked to see both of us.

" Please Call me Amelia. What are you doing here ? " I asked him.

" Oh!! I just live nearby. Good to see you again Amelia. " He said with a smile.

" I'm so sorry Mr.Rogers, I .. I didn't see you. I swear, I didn't do it on purpose. " Emily apologised.

" Are you okay Miss.Campbell? It's not your fault. I should have been careful. I'm sorry for t-that accident." Kane gave an embarrassing look. Why is he nervous? And what accident are they talking about?

He looked at her for quite sometime, while Emily's face was turning red. Is she blushing? Soon their staring contest got cut by a phone's ringing sound, more specifically my phone's ringing sound. It was Aiden. I excused myself from that place.

" Hello "

" Thank God!! What happened Mia ? " He asked me with worry laced in his voice.

" Oh.. It's Emily. She fell down. "

" I called you thrice. Why can't you attend the damn call and say that you are fine ! " Now he let out his frustration.

He is mad because I didn't attend his call ? What is wrong with him now ?

" I'm fine Aiden. We came for some groceries shopping, I guess it's time for us to leave now. I'll see you tommorow evening. "

" Yeah, Go home safely. I'll pick you up tommorow by 6:30pm "

" Yeah .. Sure " I said and the line got cut.

As I moved towards Emily, I looked around but couldn't find Kane.

" Where is Kane and what the fuck happened? " I asked her.

" He left." She replied rolling her eyes. Definitely something happened between these two.

" Alright!! I'm starving. let's go home." I grabbed her and pulled her towards the billing section.

So, tommorow is his mom's birthday. It's a party with lot of important people. Even the thought, made me nervous. I have a job to do, I think I can pull this off. But before that, what gift should I give to my future-mom- inlaw?
