I found her looking at me with a sweet smile on her face...

'Goodnight Karan...'

I was awed with her goodnight... I mean how could she wish me when I was irritating her so much... And I must admit first impression was really d best one , she was really a sweet girl...

I wanted to wish her back but I didn't since I couldn't think of being sweet with her flopping my plans... But I couldn't resist myself from nodding and she was smiling again...And her smile was forcing me to smile back...But I didn't... I just turned and left and I could hear her whispering "Mr.Weirdo !" again...

I giggled silently at the name she had given me...

I got back to bed after reaching my room and slowly fell asleep...

It was next noon... And she was helping me with my phonecalls and I was busy staring her and talking on phone... 

Suddenly she looked at door and then at me awkwardly... That was when she caught me staring her !! And I found her looking back at door... I looked at door and found Ajay standing... I immideately cut the call and got up...And Naina moved towards her table awkwardly...

Ajay needed my signs on some files and he left after getting them...before leaving​ he looked at Naina which I never liked... Maybe he was just looking !

The day went like that... It was time for US to leave... I used to leave late compared to staff but that day I had to leave since Naina was coming with me in car... I asked Naina to wait in car and she left... Just then I remembered how Ajay looked at her so decided to leave with her itself !

I was getting down the stairs when I heard something that drove me angry like anything...

'Some people are coming here just to impress Sir!! Sometimes with tie, sometimes coffee or holding phones!! Do you guys know what else they do here, they do nothing else but trying to trap Sir !!' It was Ajay who was smirking and looking at Naina... Some of staff were laughing at his words that too looking at Naina...

I looked at her and found tear drops getting filled in her eyes... I couldn't stand this scene !! I ran towards Ajay and held him by his shirt collar...

'How dare you say something that kind ?!!' I was shouting being uncontrollably angry... Ajay was startled seeing me and rest of the staff too, including Naina..

'If you are polishing my shoes on my order does that mean you are trying to impress me ?!' I was shouting again.

'Sir , I... I'm sorry sir...' He was stumbling with his words.

I asked him to say sorry to Naina and he did immediately... Naina just nodded...

I looked at Naina who was trying to hold my shoulder seeing me angry... I signed her to leave and she left without a word... 

I was still angry... I must say I was angry on me rather than Ajay that it was me who was the culprit cause of whom Naina got insulted !! And Ajay was the best employee I've ever had... I liked his sincere approach towards work... I was shouting on him ??! 

In fact I never used to get angry on my staff even if they commit some mistakes​... I never talked to them even in loud voice​... I didn't understand why I was shouting, I could have made him understand in normal words too !! I regretted shouting on him !! But I lost my control seeing Naina getting insulted !! And I shouted cause I COULDN'T STAND HER TEARS !! I calmed myself down...

'Ajay !! I'm sorry... I shouldn't have shouted... But it is not what you thought it to be... I made Naina do all those... it's not like she wanted to impress me or something like that... In fact it's me who is at fault here... You could have asked me once... She is doing what she is asked to... It's never her fault...' I was going on !! I was explaining him about Naina's innocence ?!! I never knew I would ever do something like this for a girl.

Ajay and other staffs were shocked too seeing my this side. I myself was wondering what has happened to me !!

'Sorry sir... I'll apologize to Ms.Naina again... I'm really sorry...And I know I've done a great mistake that's why you've got angry...otherwise you've never got angry with us...I'm really sorry...' Ajay was guilty. I nodded and turned left to leave... And I was shocked to see NAINA STANDING THERE, LISTENING TO WHAT I WAS SAYING !!!

I got embarrassed that she got to hear what I was telling about her... She was looking at me,surprised​... Maybe she was impressed with my words about her or seeing my courage to say SORRY TO my STAFF,accepting my mistake !! I don't know !! 

But I was getting angry that she got to hear my apology and the words about her !!! It was the mistake big enough to flop all my plans forever !! I was very much disappointed... I looked at her angrily and moved towards her... I held her left arm so tightly that my hand would have printed on her soft skin and pulled her towards the car...She was wincing in pain...but didn't protest !!! 

'I asked you to sit in car,no ? Then what the hell were you doing standing there ?' I asked in an angry but low voice.

'Uh... I found the car locked so came back to ask you to unlock it... Sorry... I didn't hear you intentionally...'

I understood she wasn't​ doing it intentionally... But I was still mad that she got to know I was defending her !! 

'You were so mad at me that day that you slapped me... But why didn't you even bother to reply him when he was so wrong about you...' I continued showing anger...But left her arm since it was too paining for her...

'Because he wasn't wrong about what he had seen... Whenever he entered I was doing something like that only... And being a sincere staff he hasn't​ done anything wrong by accusing me so...' She said being calm...

"Yeah...it was me who was at fault !! My stupid plans !!" I thought... I unlocked the car and got in... Naina too got in...

'I'm really sorry...'

I looked at her like why.

'Cause of me you shouted on your staff for first time and you got to apologize too...' She said like she was guilty !

'Are you​ mad ?!' These were the words came out of my mouth since it was her who had got hurt and I,myself was the one who caused it to happen !!

She looked at me ​a little bit shocked. I decided to act rude...

'If I shouted on my staff for first time or last time,it's my wish... And coming to apology my Maasi maa taught me to be brave enough to apologize if I've committed any mistake... And most importantly it's none of your business to comment on my actions... Do the work you are asked to do and keep quiet... You got it ?!'

She nodded, rolling her eyes.

I was driving and we were quiet, none said a word. But I knew she was looking at me, I didn't know the exact reason... Maybe because I defended her !! I didn't bother to look at her... In fact I controlled my eyes to not look at her... After some silent moments she decided to break silence.

'Do you always apologize for your mistakes?' She had a smirk on her face.

I understood what she was talking about !! After a few days ,again, the slap started playing in my mind, I got awkward remembering everything !! She could sense it too... So she looked out through window without waiting for my reply,giggling !!

"Is she really giggling thinking about that day ?!", I thought being confused. I had been noticing some changes in her behavior with me after the bus journey... Then after the incident at office she was changed more, though I never expected her to !!

'I asked you to keep quiet means you have to keep quiet !! ' I said trying to show I was irritated,just to cover my awkwardness... And it looked like she got it too... I was shocked to hear her was whispering,'Mr.Weirdo looks CUTE when HE FEELS AWKWARD !!' She was smiling  mischievously, thinking I didn't hear her...

"Did she really find me cute?!! And she knew I was being awkward !!" I was surprised. But I didn't say a word and kept ignoring since she might catch me lost in her if I look at her !!

'So you know how to smile too ?!' She looked at me.

I looked at mirror and found myself smiling !! I rolled my eyes indicating her to keep quiet !! She looked out through the window with a smile on her face and I didn't know the reason !! But I could sense her looking at me in between !!

We reached home early and that day I decided to not trouble her much since it was already enough for the day !! So after having dinner I left soon.

But I was feeling restless in my room, didn't know why !! Maybe I was habituated to spend time with her !! I tried hard to get sleep but whenever I closed my eyes I could only see teary eyes of Naina  !! I was feeling guilty that I was the reason for her tears !!

I wanted to apologize but my ego didn't let me to do it !! That was when I felt a knock on my door. Without seeing who it was I asked to get in... I was expecting the maid but to my surprise it was NAINA... I looked at her amused !!

'Karan, auntie called me... She told your phone is switched off... She's worried for you !'

I checked my phone to find it switched off since the battery was died. I kept it for charging and called Maasi maa as soon as it got switched on.

'Maasi maa, I'm fine... Don't worry...Actually I didn't know when it got switched off !!'

'Karan, I feel you are not okay... that's why you are being careless !!' She wasn't convinced !

'I'm perfectly fine, Maasi maa... It's just that I'm a little tired...'

'Okay...now go to sleep...it's already late !! Goodnight​'

'Okay Maasi maa... goodnight... Take care...'

After hanging up the call I sat on nearby chair closing my eyes...

'Karan...you don't look fine !! SHALL I MASSAGE YOUR HEAD !!'

I was shocked to hear Naina saying so !! Actually I was thinking she had left by then !! I looked at her in awe !!

'Don't worry...I'm an expert in head massage !! If you have doubt you can ask Dev bhai !!'

How could she be that sweet with me even after getting irritated with me​ !! She didn't wait for me to say anything... and I didn't know with which right she started to massage my head !! But I should admit that her soft hands really had magic to reduce my fatigue !! I felt very much relaxed !! I never knew when I fell asleep !!

It was morning soon and I opened my eyes to find the beautiful face smiling in front of me with a cup of coffee in her hand... I felt like I WAS BLESSED to see her face first opening my eyes !!

'Good morning...' She wished me with her breathtaking smile.

'Good morning...' That time I couldn't resist myself from wishing her.

I turned around to see myself lying on my bed covered with my blanket whereas I was on the chair when I was sleeping !! I looked at her questioningly !!

'Uhh...When you were asleep that auntie helped me to make you lie on bed !!'

I felt good that she cared for me !! I took the coffee from her...

The whole day went smoothly and Ajay kept his word and apologized to Naina as soon as we reached the office... I decided to not disturb Naina all the time but I wasn't ready to take my rules back !! In fact I was HABITUATED TO HER... I couldn't imagine her doing just office work and ignoring me !! And she was changed by then too... She took everything as her RESPONSIBILITY rather THAN just DUTY !!! And I NEVER REALIZED that I was getting PULLED TOWARDS HER MORE AND MORE !!

Days passed by... And it was the day on which Maasi maa was supposed to come... I was feeling weird that I had to change the rules by then... I couldn't think of getting caught by Maasi maa !! I thought to make some changes as per requirement !! And went to pick Maasi maa home !! 

FORTUNATELY Maasi maa was really busy with some new project that she was never at home... She used to leave before we woke up and came back late at night !! So none of my rules needed to get changed !!

Only changes happened were WE had dinner with Maasi maa on the dining table and I HAD TO CLIMB UP TO THE BALCONY OF NAINA'S ROOM ON LATE NIGHT TO STARE HER in the name of making her read the files !! But I didn't mind !! 

I never knew how fast days were passing !! And the day came after which Dev was coming back and NAINA HAD TO GO BACK !! I was very much upset thinking about it !! I realized how much I was HABITUATED TO NAINA by then that "the independent, single KARAN CHAUHAN with no-girl policy" was UNABLE TO IMAGINE LIVING his life EASILY WITHOUT HER !! I had become so much DEPENDANT ON A GIRL,NAINA !! All because of MY STUPID RULES !! I cursed the moment at which I thought about irritating Naina instead of asking Maasi maa to make her work out of my cabin !!

I was walking back and forth being RESTLESS !! That was when I felt a hand on my shoulder !!

I turned to find Maasi maa...

'Karan ? What happened ? Why are you looking so disturbed ?!' 

'Uhh !! Nothing Maasi maa !! I'm fine !!'

'Really ?!' She asked being not convinced.

I nodded. She took my phone from the table and shown it to me.

'Then what is this ?' She asked pointing at the screen. 

I found 6 missed calls of Dev !! I was so disturbed that I failed to hear the phone ringing !!

'Uhh...Maasi maa... I think the phone is on silent mode...' Before I finish my words the phone started ringing loudly showing"Dev calling..." 

I was embarrassed and Maasi maa was concerned...

'Karan ? Are you really okay ? What is bothering you ?'

'Nothing Maasi maa... I'm...I'm fine...' I tried to cover the truth and left immediately before she ask more questions and I knew she was standing there looking at me, concerned !

I reached the lawn and attended the call.

'Hello Sir...'
