I was still kneeling, looking at her expecting her reply... though it wasn't something that really mattered for both of us !! She laughed a little and took the rose from me !!

'See, we are strangers... So I'm really sorry to say that I don't wanna risk my journey just to keep going with a stranger... And why I'm taking this rose is I found you really HONEST !!'

I smiled at her sensible reply and she was smiling while speaking too...

'And I know who told you to do this...and I guess it's a dare !' She went on looking at Dev with a CUTE frown...Dev was smiling naughtily... Just then she left when she got a phonecall...

I got up and walked towards Dev.

'I hope now it's clear ?!! And please don't speak anything this kind with Maasi maa... I don't want her to discuss all these... It will be really awkward...' I said while setting my hair with my right hand.

He just smiled. And I left for home.

Next day.... I was AGAIN going to meet Dev. This time just for Maasi maa as she insisted to get videos of his marriage and other functions !! I never knew she would ever be interested in all these !!!

I reached the college when it was around 7 pm. I went straight to Dev's cabin in front of which I met him last night and found him there...

After some random talks I asked him for what Maasi maa had sent me there... He gave me a pen drive in which all those videos were there...I was expecting him to utilize the situation to tease me... And I was never wrong !!

'So Karan... What do you think ?!!'

'About ?'

'Arre !! About the girl you met last night !'

I looked at him like what about her ! He just winked at me.

'Well... she's​ kinda sweet girl...'

'Arre wah !! You started to like her just in one meeting itself ?!!' He said clapping.

'Excuse me !!! When did I say so !!?? She's sweet means she won't be able to stand up for herself cause of her sweet nature !! She's a TYPICAL sweet GIRL !!'

'Do you mean she will just tolerate everything without​ reacting ??!'

'Yeah... For example I was a stranger for her when I proposed her yesterday... And hence she could have rejected me in one word... but she just tried to please me with her reply !! How can such a girl even react on anything ?!!' I said sarcastically.

'You are wrong Karan !!! You are really wrong !!'

Since it was my habit to do anything just to prove myself​ right I decided to follow the same thing !! I looked here and there to find that girl but I couldn't !

I had to leave too as it was getting late. Dev asked me to go with him someday for dinner since I didn't meet his wife yet... I agreed to go some other day and started to leave... 

The campus was almost empty by then !! When I was about to reach the gate I found that girl coming... I turned to look at Dev and signed him to see how I'll prove myself right !!

She had some files in her hands and was moving towards Dev only. I still don't know how and why I just stood in front of her. I HAD NO IDEA about WHAT I WAS GOING TO DO !!! When she was about to go other way I BLOCKED her way... She looked at me like what !!

I just looked into her eyes, took her face in both my palms and just KISSED her on lips !!!!

After about just 2 mins I broke the kiss... She looked at me, shocked, trying to recollect what happened just then... She asked in a serious tone, ' was it a dare ?'

'No'

'Do you wanna give any justification ?' She frowned a little but was still shocked !

'No... I just felt to do so and did it !!' I replied without ​any kind of emotions.

The very next moment I had her right palm on my left cheek, SLAPPING ME HARD !!

The interesting thing was I was smiling, being mesmerized with her attitude, instead of getting angry or hurt since it was the FIRST SLAP I've ever got !!

I held my cheek but still I wasn't feeling the pain !!!

She was about to go when I blocked her and AGAIN kissed her !! I couldn't control myself from kissing her hard that time ! (I was just so impressed with her slap ;) )

Though my eyes were closed I could feel her widened eyes glaring at me, being extremely shocked !!

After a few minutes I somehow parted and leaned towards her ear, smiling...

'I just LOVE your attitude...so take this one as a REWARD for it !!' 

She stood there rooted thinking about my strange act when I left even without looking back at her or Dev...

In whole my way back to home I was SMILING, remembering her SLAP !! She was sweet and same time a tigress too !! I wasn't feeling bad in fact I was happy that she's not a typical naive girl !!

But what I never understood was why I kissed her after getting slapped !!!?? It was indeed an act being not in my conscious mind !!! Still I wasn't regretting !!!

After parking the car I just looked at rearview mirror and found her handprint on my cheek !!

I got in praying to the Almighty,"plz never let Maasi maa notice my face."But even the God wasn't​ with me !!

Maasi maa was there at the door itself !!

'Karan !! What happened ?!! Why is your left cheek red ?!' She was concerned.

'Woh... Maasi maa... It's...uhh... it's SIDE EFFECT (😜) !' I didn't know what I was saying !!!

She looked at me confused...

'... maybe cause of some food items...'

'But you always take same kinda food only !!?' She looked on confused listening to me...

'Woh...Maasi maa... It's just nothing !! Leave it naa...'

'Why does it look like you have got slapped ?'

She got angry !!

'How dare someone slap you ?!!'

I somehow managed to find a better lie...

'Nahi Maasi maa....woh...main... mosquito....'

The very next moment Maasi maa started to laugh...

'Karan !!! Will someone kill mosquito like this ?!! It's really strange !'

She put ice packs over my cheek and then asked me to have dinner. I gave her pen drive and she started watching it sitting next to me.

I was watching too... There were many video clips... Maasi maa started with the video of Sangeet... And to my surprise it started with the performance of THAT girl, dancing wonderfully on "Maine paayal hai chhankaai..."

She was wearing black velvet top, golden color skirt  and  her golden color net shawl was pinned on one side... She looked breathtaking in her traditional avatar !!!

And her dance moves were just so perfect !! I couldn't take my eyes off her, even after "the slap event" !!!

Maasi maa liked her dance,too... She was going on with 'stunning !!' 'amazing !!' and all... After her WONDERFUL performance there were many other performances too... But what I was seeing was ONLY her dance on repeat mode while Maasi maa was watching something else !!

It was next day, around noon... I was in a meeting when Maasi maa called me and told that next day Dev had to leave for America with his wife for two weeks. So Maasi maa wanted me to take her to Dev !

I was feeling awkward since there was a chance of meeting HER !! So I confirmed by calling Dev that there were only his close friends like me...

And we reached there at Dev's home... I was walking towards him when I saw that girl, there !! Oh my God!! To avoid ONE MORE meeting with her only I asked Dev if there was anyone from OUTSIDERS​ and he was sure that there was none !! 

I took out my kerchief and started wiping the sweat newly formed on my forehead,tensed !! 

"What if she slaps me for the last meeting !! Oh my !!! That time she was so embarrassed that she couldn't slap me for 2nd time !! But now she may slap me in front of everyone...and Maasi maa ??!!!! Ohh no!!!"

I immediately found an unnoticeable corner... I made sure that no one is looking at me... I stood there for some minutes... After making sure she left the hall I made my way towards Dev and gave him an angry look. (Dev was always a friend for me...)

He was like what !!

'You were telling it's only your close ones who will be coming!!??'

'Yeah....?!!' He was confused.

Just then we saw her entering hall,again... Thank god she was looking towards some other direction!!

And now Dev got what I meant !! He started to laugh...

'So she's whom you were talking about !!! So much worry...??!!' He was winking...

I gave him a death glare.

'Dude, she's my raakhi sister... Since she's an orphan I brought her here and she's staying with us !!'

'Ohh!!'

I ran from there as soon as possible and I could hear Dev's laughter remembering "the slap event"

This, for once, made me think about "taking revenge" by irritating her like hell so that I can settle the scores...(ignoring the fact it was me who started all this...!! ;) ) 

But I was sure it won't happen since I, myself, will be running away wherever I see her !!

Just then I felt a hand over my shoulder !!! 

"It might be HER !!! To slap me again ?! In front of everyone ??!!! God, please !!! Please don't let Maasi maa see her slapping me !!!"

I closed my eyes to gain enough courage to face HER...
