The suspicion of Jungkook living alone has cleared, but he still lives by himself who knows where. The days have passed, and the first winter of your first year of college was about to begin. Today was the day that the Mr. Jeon, Mrs. Jeon, and your dad had to go a few towns over for a business related project for the whole day.

"Y/N, V... Take care of the house until then... We'll also be taking Jimin so you won't feel too stressed." Mrs. Jeon waves.

"Y/n, don't feed anything weird to V." Your dad warns.

"Whaaat? I'm becoming a better cook than I used to be. Jin is teaching me." You put your hands on your hips confidently.

"Are you sure you're okay by yourselves? Sure I shouldn't bring Jungkook here or anything? Maybe a babysitter..?" Mrs. Jeon asks.

"It's okay. It's just one day. Jungkook must be busy.." You say cheerfully.

"Okay, we're counting on you." Mr. Jeon smiles.

"Call us if you need help or anything at all~" Mrs. Jeon chimes and Mr. Jeon nods.

"Okay, we're going now... goodbye!" They say, and all of them leave.

The door closes and you look towards V. "What would you like for dinner?" You ask him.

"Anything." He replies and goes to his room.

** Dinner Time **

"I made you your favorite, V! A hamburger! Hamburgers are hard to make them into a right shape.. and I tried my best~ I made them into a size that's easy to eat." You sit down in your seat and watch him eat silently. He put it in his mouth and chewed on it.

"So? How is it? I got the recipe from Jin. I think I did a good job." You say.

"It's better than it looks." He darts his eyes to the side and continues eating.

"I'm glad! Eat all the vegetables too, they're good for you~" You drink a cup of water and shove a piece of the hamburger into your mouth.

The hamburger is something to be proud of.

V stays silent and starts eating quietly you smile and hum to yourself. His face suddenly changes, and he starts violently coughing. He squints his eyes and holds his head.

"V, are you okay?" You look at him.

He continues coughing.

"V!" You yell, but he continues to cough.

You get out of your chair, and run to his side. He coughs louder and more intenser.

"Does something hurt?" You ask and sit him up correctly.

"..My stomach.." He says weakly and continues to cough and he starts crying.

"Your stomach...? Was it my hamburger? --V! Calm down, I got you.. Hang in there!" You hold him from behind and put him on the couch laid down. You put a blanket on him because he was shaking from coldness.

...

Panic.

The thermometer you put on him was super high. You even put a cold blanket over his head and grabbed your phone to call Mrs. Jeon.

No Signal.

You bring out your phone to look for Jungkook's contact, but then remember he doesn't have a phone.

"V, wait!" You hold him down on the couch.

Calling Jin.

"Jin, how do you cure food poisoning?!" You yell on the line.

"y/n? did you get food poisoning?!" He asks.

"No, I think V did! And Jungkook doesn't have a phone so I can't contact him!" You panic, giving V more blankets above his head as he continues to cry and cough extremely violently.

"Where's Jungkook's house?!" Jin asks.

"I don't know, he didn't tell any one!" You yell back.

"how do you cure food poisoning?" Jin asks another employee in the background.

"Y/N, what did V eat?" Another male voice says on the phone.

"The hamburger that I m-made! It may have not been fully cooked!" You reply.

"Did you eat the hamburger too?!" He says.

"Y-Yeah!" You stutter.

"She ate it.. But you're okay, right?" He calms down.

"Ye-yes.." You bite your lip.

"So the hamburger is not the case...." He replies.

"But after V ate the hamburger, it started happening!" You say loudly.

V continues to cough loudly and groan as he holds his stomach. He lets out a scream.

"It doesn't have to be food poisoning. It can be other sicknesses.. But don't make a judgement yourself, it's better to see a doctor. Call an ambulance right now." He says.

"Ambulance? Right!" You were ready to hang up.

"I'll find Jungkook and take him there!" Jin says and hangs up before you could.

"Excuse me, ambulance! Yes! Jeon Jungkook! I-I mean, Y/N L/N! That's right.." You say really quickly.

J-Hope's POV
"Jin! What's going on? Is y/n ok?" Jihyun and I run to him.

"Do you know where Jungkook is?" He asks.

"I don't think Jungkook told his new address to even his parents..The kids in his class didn't know either..I don't think there's anyone else that knows it." I say.

"That's stupid! Not even the office in school knows it?" Jin replies.

"The office isn't open at this time.. It's already 9 pm.." I say.

"I know. He is tutoring at Areum's house! She may know something, right?" Jihyun says.

"Also, he works at a cafe. Y/n told us." I say.

"Which cafe?" Jin asks.

"Well.. I don't know exactly.. I'll try calling y/n." I start calling y/n on my phone.

"V, hang in there! You'll be okay, I promise!!!" You say as the hospital cart runs through the hallway at an insane speed.

"Maybe it's hard to get through at a hospital.." Jin says.

"She said it was around main street." I reply.

"Good, I'll search around there. You guys try to contact Areum. He says, and starts running.

"brother..." V says weakly while sobbing.

Jin starts running inside a lot of mini cafes. He goes almost crazy as he accidentally walks in a hair salon.

Me and Jihyun arrived at Areum's house.

"Jungkook isn't tutoring here today.." She crosses her arms.

"Do you know where his house is?" I ask her pleadingly.

"I don't know.." She said, nervously, as she was afraid to admit it.

"What cafe does he work at then?" Jihyun asks beside me.

"At Royal Garden Cafe on main street. The manager may know his emergency contact number." She says.

"Thank you so much!" We both bow at her, and call Jin.

"The cafe Jungkook is working at is called Royal Garden Cafe. She doesn't know if he's working tonight or not.. His shift is random." I say quickly on the phone to Jin.

"I'll go to the cafe for now. They might know his contact number." He says while panting heavily.

"Is there anything else we can do to help?" I say.

"No, that's enough. It was a big help. Thank you so much." He replies.

"Tell y/n to hang in there..bye." I hang up.

Where could Jungkook be..? So selfish of him to hide his address in a crisis like this..

Y/N POV
"He has a bacteria... He's not in critical condition right now, but if you leave it alone it could be fatal.." The doctor says.

Fatal..?

"It's better to operate on him as soon as possible." He says.

"Then please! Operate him now. Save him!" You look at him with wide eyes.

"I'm sorry.. may I ask if you're his family..?" He says.

You shake your head side to side.

"In this hospital, we need a consent from a family member to operate on a minor.." He frowns.

"He's going to die! His parents are on vacation!" You yell.

"Can you contact other family members? We need a consent form.." He says again.

You look around the room nervously and lay your eyes on V, which his breathing was getting slower on the coma.

"Jungkook.." You plead.

Jin continues to search for Jungkook everywhere, in all the cafes, which took well, about..

20 minutes.

At the Cafe
"There he is.." Jin mumbles. "Jeon Jungkook!" He then yells, having exchanged looks from everyone in the room.

Jungkook walks to him. "What are you yelling about..?"

"Come with me. Your brother is sick. He's at the hospital with y/n." Jin tells him.

Jungkook looks down, and then at Jin for a second. He turns around quickly and puts a paper on the table. "I got to go." He says to the lady, and starts running outside with Jin following behind.

"Taxi!" He yells on the road, and a taxi pulls up.

Jin and Jungkook both get on the taxi and drive to the hospital, which was nearby. They both hop off as Jungkook leaves the money on the backseat from the adrenaline he was feeling at the moment. He continues to run quickly inside the building, alongside with Jin.

"May I see Jeon V, please?!" He says to the lady.

She nods and he opens the door to be revealed with V on the coma, and y/n on his side.

"Jungkook! You're here! V needs an operation as quick as possible! He needs a consent from family!" You run to him.

"I've signed the contract with the lady at the desk. Everything will be okay." He says and passes by you, and goes to his brother's side.

"You'll be okay, you're just going to have to wait." Jungkook says to his little brother.

"...am i going to die...?" V says weakly.

"No, you're not. It's an easy operation.. It'll be done soon...Hang in there." Jungkook smiles and ruffles his hair.

"We're ready now. We'll take him to the operation room." The doctor says, and pulls up a movable bed as he brings V to the operation room.

The lady at the register escorts you, Jungkook, and Jin to the waiting room. "You guys can wait here..." She says, bows, and leaves.

You sit down on the couch while Jin and Jungkook stay standing.

"Y/n must be relieved.. I must be going now.. Y/n's dad isn't at the restaurant today, and my friend is all by himself. He must be busy." He says.

You get out of your seat. "Thank you. Please send my best regards to your friend." You say with teary eyes.

"I'm relieved it didn't get serious.. I'll see you." He bows and starts heading towards the exit.

"Jin." Jungkook says, making him stop.

He walks towards Jin. "Thank you." Jungkook bows.

"Aren't you being too selfish..?" Jin questions.

He slowly lifts himself and looks into his eyes.

Jin continues talking. "I don't care if you live by yourself... but give your family your contact number. What if anything happens to V because of that? I also came from another place. You living by yourself....must have a good reason. But if anything happens because of that, you and the people around you will suffer. It's too late if it happens. People can't live alone. Your feelings and what you think should be told to the people around you."

.....

"Y/n, see you later." Jin looks at you.

"Thank you again." You smile at Jin.

He leaves, and closes the door.

Jungkook looks at the door with red eyes.

"Jungkook?" You question.

He sits on a seat near the door with no response.

"That's right, I forgot to call Mrs. Jeon.." You open your phone. "Oh no.. That's a lot of missed calls."

"It's inside the hospital here." Jungkook says while looking at the floor.

"right." You reply and walk outside with the phone.

Ring Ring...

"I finally got reception! Y/n!" She beams through the phone.

"Finally.. V is going through operation right now.." You say.

"Operation!?" She repeats,

"It's a kind of bacteria... But after the operation, he'll be fine.. Jungkook came here and he's staying with V." You reply.

"We'll try to be there!" She yells, as if she was distracted with something.

"Come home safely!" You reply.

"y--" She says, but her voice gets cut off.

"Hello..? Hello!?" You say, but the reception was lost.

You look at the phone and groan. You suddenly feel a warm touch on your forehead and a figure behind you.

"Thank you, y/n." Jungkook's warm voice fills your ear.

You stand still, not moving. You feel tears start to come out, and sniffle. "...i was scared.." You say weakly.

You turn around and hug Jungkook. He moves his hand to your back and leaves it there.

"Jungkook... I was so scared...!" You sob on his chest.

He pulls you closer, and hugs you with one arm as he holds your phone with the other.

"You're okay now.." He says calmly.

"I was scared, Jungkook..." You say again and sob harder.

"The operation is done." The lady says as she comes outside.

Jungkook pulls back and takes off his vest. He then hands his vest to you as he heads inside. You wait in the waiting room as Jungkook goes inside the hospital room.

"The operation was successful. He can come out tomorrow. Family members can go home tonight." The doctor says to Jungkook in a closed-in room.

Jungkook nods. "Thank you, doctor.."

"Anyway, that lady made a quick decision to take him to the hospital.. That was great. It doesn't get serious when it's found early, but many people think it's just a stomachache and have them endure it.. It's a curable disease, but it can sometimes be fatal. Especially for young children. Your brother was lucky, you should thank that lady." The doctor says.

He looks at the ground without saying anything.

You wait in the waiting room patiently as you hear footsteps. Jungkook walks to you, and you stand up and hand him his vest. "How was it?"

"It's fine now, he can get up tomorrow." He replies.

"I'll stay with V then." You say.

"You can't do it." He replies quickly.

"but--" He cuts you off.

"Let's leave it to the professionals. V will be hospitalized for now, you should rest for a while. Let's go, I'll take you home." He starts heading to the exit, and you follow behind.

He stops outside and you stop beside him. "W-Wow, it's so cold.. I didn't know it was going to snow.." You shake.

"The trains are not running now, it may be hard to catch a taxi." He says.

"What can I do?" You're right, no cars are outside." You shiver helplessly.

He shifts nervously. "Do you want to come to my condo?"

"..What?" You look at him quickly.

He looks down at you. "It's about a ten minute walk from here." He says, and starts walking.

You start running after him and arrive at the place. He goes up an elevator and into an apartment. He opens the door. "Come in."

You look around in surprise.

"Don't look around.." He examines your face.

You jolt back from his response, but continue to look around. You then follow him to his bedroom.

Right now we're in Jungkook's room by ourselves..

"In this room... Did Areum come here?" You ask.

"No. You're the first one." He replies casually.

You look at him and smile to yourself as you close the door. You start to take off your jacket.

"You must've been cold. Do you want to take a shower?" He asks.

You look at him in surprise. "W-What?! No! You can go f-first."

"I can go later." He says calmly.

"W-well, this is y-your place!" You shake your hands quickly.

He stares at you without saying anything.

"O-Oh! I forg-got! I have to tell your m-mother that the operation was successful or they'll g-go directly to the h-hospital! So you go a-ahead!" You stutter, trying to shake off the awkwardness.

He leaves the room without saying anything and take out your phone. You look around his room and sit on the floor.

He's taking a shower and the night with just the two of us is about to begin..

There was one time like that at his mansion, but it's different this time. Because this room has....

ONLY ONE BED!
