V's surgery was a success, and by the time he left the hospital, it was New Years Eve. For couples, it was extremely anticipated Christmas season.

But for singles...

Y/N's POV
"You're welcome." Jungkook says to the customer.

You wave your hand and speak loudly and obnoxiously. "Hey, young man! May you please refill my water~?"

Jungkook sighs, and walks over to your table. "You've only ordered coffee and water. How long are you going to sit there?" He says as he refills your cup.

You laugh, and watch him walk away. "A-actually, actually--" You say, and he turns around as he releases a mad face at you.

"Kookie, I was wondering what you are doing on Christmas Eve. Are you coming back home?" You ask pleadingly.

He replies coldly, "Work." He then turns around again and heads to the kitchen as he leaves you there with your mouth wide open.

"Since he's working at a cafe, there's no way he can take off Christmas Eve." Areum says as she walks up to you.

"Are you working that day too, Areum?" You ask her.

"Yup~ I'm going to work hard with Jungkook." She says cheerfully. "We have many reservations that day."

"Then I'll make a reservation too!" You say excitedly.

"Oh, really? Well, our cafe will only be serving full course dinners that day." She hands you a menu. "It's exclusive to couples, too."

You gasp. "Dinner for two?! And 1800 dollars?!" You sigh in defeat and drop the menu.

You walk with a jacket to college with a sigh. "It's fine.. If I can't spend it with Jungkook, then I'll spend it with my friends!" You mumble.

As if on queue, your friends yell your name from behind you. "Y/N, Y/N!" Jihyun and Hoseok run to you quickly.

"Hey Hoseok! Hey Jihyun!" You wave to both of them. "..So about Christmas this year...." You say.

Jihyun cuts you off. "Actually, I wanted to introduce you to someone today~" She says excitedly.

"Introduce me?" You question.

She nods and smiles.

Hoseok and Jihyun point to the distance. "There he is!" Jihyun says and Hoseok and Jihyun both go to two different people.

"Let me introduce you." Jihyun brings a guy, and Hoseok also brings a guy.

"My boyfriend Min Yoongi is a music producer." Hoseok waves and Yoongi averts his eyes shyly and waves.

"My boyfriend is Kim Seojun. He studies law. Say hi!" Jihyun says.

Unlike Yoongi, Seojun waves without shyness. "Nice to meet you, I'm Kim Seojun." He smiles.

You nod and smile and then get surprised. "B-boyfriend? Both of you? How? When?!" You point at both of them.

"I wanted to introduce you to him before Christmas, no matter what." Jihyun says.

"Oh.. I see! Congratulations to both of you." You smile.

So right before my first Christmas as a college student, I faced a dire situation where I was the only one who was single.

I have a feeling this is going to be the worst Christmas ever.

You sat at the cafeteria lunch table by yourself and slurped on chocolate milk while gazing into the distance.

"Y/N~" Jin says and sits next to you.

"Hey Jin, aren't you working? Don't slack off." You say playfully.

"I'm almost done. But anyway, I heard Hoseok and Jihyun both have boyfriends now!" He says.

"Well, it's true..." You look to the ground.

"That means that they'll be spending a passionate....Christmas Eve with them, right?" He looks at you.

"They're spending Christmas with their boyfriends for the first time, of course." You pout.

"This... is serious!" He yells, echoing the whole cafeteria. He then calms down. "That means you're going to be...alone, y/n."

"Please don't remind me." You respond.

"Aren't you lonely? Aren't you sad?" He puts his hand on your shoulder.

He pauses.

"So I have a special plan for you, Y/N."

Jin gets cut off. "Y/N....I need to talk to you."

"I can't spend Christmas with Yoongi.." He pouts.

"You can't spend Christmas with Yoongi?! ..But this was going to be your first Christmas Eve together!" You say.

"I know right? But Yoongi said he was busy making music for someone else that day.."

Jin speaks up. "Can't you see him after he finishes?"

"He has to go to another city, and he finishes late. There's no way he could come back that night." He pouts.

"But he's working towards becoming a professional music composer, right?" You ask. "You should support that."

"I understand that, but I wish he could spend that day with me.. But I guess I'll support him."

"There you are!" Jihyun yells from behind. "Could you believe this?! Seojun...Seojun...Seojun...told me he couldn't spend Christmas with me.." She frowns.

"You too, Jihyun?" You say.

The lunch bell rings, and you all walk outside. "Seojun said he can't take the day off from work today...He said it's because he wants to buy me a present, but what we crave their heart, not material things.. Guys really don't understand how girls feel!" Jihyun says.

"And guys too." Hoseok raises his hand slowly.

"I want to be with him that night, no matter what! Why can't he understand that?" Jihyun says.

"Alright! Let's forget about the guys who don't understand us! This Christmas, let's have fun with just us!" You yell excitedly.

"Are you sure Y/N? Isn't Jungkook coming home for Christmas?" Hoseok asks.

"Actually, Jungkook can't get out of work either.. Areum is working with him, too.." You look down.

"The worst." They both say in unison.

"I think I'm dealing with the worst case of a guy who doesn't understand a girl's feelings...Though, I'm not even Jungkook's girlfriend." You say.

"Put your hand out, guys! We're going to have the best Christmas party ever on our own! Let's swear that the three of us will spend the funnest Christmas together!" Jihyun says.

"Agreed!" You and Hoseok yell.

"And no betrayal!" Jihyun yells.

"Agreed!" You and Hoseok both yell again.

"Hey, Hey, Hey! Wait a minute!" Jin yells and runs to you from behind. "How about me?!" He frowns.

You all stare at him without saying anything.

"You're scaring me...?" He says slowly. "If you're having a party, count me in too, will you? I'll prepare a Christmas feast for you, how about that? I won't betray you. Let's have a fun night together..together...together.." He repeats, and the group just stares him without saying a single word.

"What's wrong?" He asks.

Hoseok speaks up. "Jin, I know you're training..But you're in the food and beverage industry."

You also speak up. "What about Kisang?"

Jihyun hugs your arm. "Exactly. There's no restaurant that will allow you to take Christmas Eve off."

"What?" Jin laughs.

You all turn around and start walking, leaving Jin behind.

"Wouldn't they end earlier, at least?" Jin says to himself.

*TIME SKIP NIGHT*
"Christmas with Y/N! Christmas with Y/N!" Jin jumps around while cleaning the tables.

Jin goes to his other employee. The employee looks at a list and counts up. "2, 4, 6, 8, 10.." He stops as Jin cuts him off.

"No way!! The tables and counters are all reserved!" He yells.

"Of course, it's Christmas Eve! Stop yelling! It's going to be busy." He says.

"But why? Isn't Christmas a Christian holiday? Why would you eat korean cuisine that day?!" Jin says.

"But it's something we should be grateful for. Since the boss is leaving around 9, we're going to be the only two working." The employee smiles and pats Jin on the shoulder.

"Wh-where is he going..?" Jin asks quietly.

"He said he has something important. Probably some party." He responds.

"P-party? A Christmas Party?!" Jin bangs his head on the table.

*Back At Y/N's*
"So, that's right! His company's celebrating it's 20th anniversary." Mrs. Jeon says as she puts the drinks on the table and sits down. "So that's why, on Christmas Eve, we're having a party at Hotel Prince!"

"Is that so? Congratulations!" You smile at Mr. Jeon.

"I wouldn't be here without everyone's support. It's a way to express my gratitude." He says.

Mr Jeon speaks up. "And to top it all off, Y/N's father said he'll come by after work, too!"

"He said that?" You ask.

Mr Jeon nods. "Yup. Among the party attendes are good customers of Kisang. And there's a lot of people I want him to meet at this party."

"So.. I'm hoping you can come too, Y/N." Mrs Jeon smiles at you.

"That sounds wonderful!" You say. "Christmas at Hotel Prince.."

"Right?" Mrs. Jeon smiles widely.

Your face then turns into a frown as you realize something.

'I swear that the tree of us will spend a fun Christmas together!'

'Agreed!'

"But I'm sorry, I already have engagements that day.." You look at her.

"Engagements? Is it with a man?" She asks and then widens her eyes. "Y/N! Are you seeing someone besides my son?"

You quickly swat your hand nervously. "No way! It's not that. I already promised Hoseok and Jihyun to spend Christmas with them. I would've loved to go since you invited me, but..."

"Oh.. I see. Can't you do anything about those plans?" She asks.

"There's no way out of it this time. It's a long story." You pout.

"I see. Well, that's unfortunate. But there's nothing we can do about it." Mr Jeon says.

"Hey Mom, what about brother? He's coming to the party too, right?" V asks, who was sitting next to Mrs. Jeon.

"Actually, he can't go either." She frowns.

"What? Are you serious?" Mr Jeon says.

"He said he had to work at the cafe on Christmas Eve." You reply.

"Oh man, that sucks.." V says.

"I know..I can't believe he's missing his father's company party.." Mrs Jeon looks down.

*TIME SKIP*
Mr Jeon walks inside a bar. He waits patiently. Jungkook comes in and sits next to him, putting his Jacket on the chair next to his.

"This is rare.. You never ask to meet at places like this. Ginger ale, please." Jungkook says. "So, what did you want to talk about?"

"Mm. You heard about my company's anniversary party from your mom, right?" He asks. "I want you to attend. Please."

"I know your ulterior motive, dad. You want to introduce me to the guests as the company's successor, right?...But I..still haven't decided whether I'm succeeding your company."

"I understand that." Mr Jeon says. "But will you please attend, just this once? Don't worry about what's to come, It'd be great if you made an appearance. Please, just this once." He bows in his seat.

Jungkook walks by the city and spots a book store. He goes inside it. He views all the books, and sees one book that catches his interest. The words of the girl play in his mind.

"If it's you, you can make things happen. Giving inspiration to people...making them do things... Just.. Putting yourself out there... and showing the world your potential...You have lots of possibilities."

Jungkook stares at the book and smiles to himself.
