Yume's POV
*New Year*
"Subaru!" I shake him as I say his name.

"We need to call the ambulance." Nozomu said as he dials a hospital number.

Asahi kneels down beside me as he checks if Subaru has a pulse and if he's breathing.

Kanata, Ako and Koharu and Mahiru left to look for any staff of the area or a policeman or a guard or basically anyone who's a medical proffession.

Lily-senpai and Yuzu contacted my auntie and Subaru's mom, while Aria stayed with Nozomu, me and Asahi.

I just sat there beside Subaru, panic framing my whole self.

"Hello, we have a man down!" Nozomu said. But because of the fireworks, his voice wasn't audible. He puts it on speaker phone and says once more, "We have a man down! We need you!" He shouted.

"Sir, I'm sorry, I can't understand you with background noise there." The receiver said. Aria takes a deep breath and yells, "We need help! Our friend fainted!" She said.

"Your friend fainted?" The receiver assured what Aria said. "We need help, ASAP!" Nozomu added. "On our way!" The receiver said and hung up.

My attention drew back to Asahi. He opens the airway by tilting the head and lifting the chin and does 30 compressions. "Come on, Subaru!" Asahi muttered.

He grabs a magazine and rolls it and places one end of the roll on Subaru's mouth and nose and blows on the other end to give two breaths. He performs the 30 compressions once more.

Soon, Kanata, Ako, Mahiru and Koharu came back with a security guard and a nurse. The guard carries Subaru by a piggy back carry as he holds both Subaru's wrists while his arms are supporting his unconscious legs and walks to the the gate where the ambulance is.

Everyone tried, while I can't.

Tears formed in my eyes. "Everything will be alright." Ako said as we follow them to the hospital.

At the hospital...
I ran through the hallways as soon as I found out Subaru is okay. I stopped running when I saw Subaru's mom at the door of Subaru's room.

"Get out of here!" She said as she slaps me, "What right do you have to get near my son when you nearly killed him?!" She shrieked.

"Ma'am, Yume done nothing to hurt your son." Asahi reasoned. "She's responsible! If she didn't invite him to the festival none of this would've happened." She protested, "Doesn't she know that Subaru is ill? He's suffering Sickle cell anemia."

I widened my eyes, shocked.

She gets a brown folder from her bag and shoves it to me. I opened the folder and read the paper inside.

What?!

I'm not allowed to be near him?!

I clenched the folder as I looked up with tears, "What shit is this?!" I shrieked. "A restraining order." She replied.

"Now get out of here!" Mrs. Yūki said as she pushes me out of the hospital harshly.

"No! I have to see him!" I cried as I ran back to the room. I miserably failed as she pulls my hair and drags me to the exit.

I fought back as I forced her to let go.

After attempts of seeing Subaru, I failed.

After three days...
I tied my hair in a bun, leaving my bangs out. I wore shades to cover my eyes. I wore my white crop top that reaches my lower breast bone, light blue pants, red sneakers and a reddish pink headband.

I went to the hospital where Subaru was staying in. Koharu promised me that she'll sneak me in there.

I met her at the entrance. "Koharu." I called. "Hm? Yume-chan?" She mumbled, "I didn't recognize you immediately." She added.

She beckoned me to follow her.

We sat first on the bench by the counter reading magazines as we wait for Mrs. Yūki to leave. Soon, we saw her leaving.

Koharu immediately walks to his room as I follow.

We soon reached his room as she stops and signals for me to go inside.

I opened the door and saw Subaru lying on the hospital bed, sleeping peacefully. I took off my shades and hung it on the collar of my crop top.

I stood beside his bed as tears spilled.

My friends left after a few talks. I looked the engagement ring I gave to Yume as I roll it with my thumb and index finger.

"Yume..." I whispered her name.
