Subaru's POV
I woke up early for a morning jog. I suddenly felt nauseous.

"Shit!" I cursed in my mind.

I paid no heed to it as I knock on Nozomu's room then realized, he's on his honeymoon right now.

He told me that he and Aria are going to travel around Japan for their honeymoon and will come back here before New year.

I looked at the calendar of my phone.

December 31st.

New year....

It was when Yume and I met again.

And it reminds me...

"The festival!" I quickly rushed to take bath and finish everything before tonight.

Tonight...
I waited for Yume at the entrance of the festival as put my gloved hands on the pockets of my trenchcoat.

I sighed underneath my red scarf, wrapped around my neck.

"Did I make you wait?" A sweet voice was heard. I looked up and saw Yume.

Yume has her hair tied in a bun leaving her front bangs out. So she brought side bangs along with the bun. A few pieces of hair from side bangs were still peeping out. She is wearing her red vibrant kimono with a reddish pink flower pattern on it. A yellowish orange obi and black string around the obi to keep it on. She has brown socks(whatever you call those sock-like things your wear in your feet to pair with the kimono)and white sandals.

A light pink haori to top it all.

She holds a dark blue purse.

Her kimono matches her eyes.

"Beautiful." I said. She giggled with a faint blush. "Thank you." She said.

We first went to the main shrine to say our prayers.

"I wish to be in great health forevermore." I prayed silently as I clapped my hands finished the prayer.

I looked at Yume, "I pray that in the future everything will be alright. Someday I'll be able to walk on the aisle way to the altar. I pray that I'll be married to Subaru and have a happy family with him." She prayed then finished.

I blushed at her prayer as I smiled.

We walked around and looked at every booth. It was fun.

The fireworks were about to start. Until...

"Yume...come with me." I said as I started to feel nauseous.

We walk to the tower where we met again. We went to the top.

"Subaru??" She called. "Yume, I....I have to tell you something." I said. She looked at me worried.

"Yume..."

(Flashback)
"Subaru, you're getting worse. It's either you undergo a bone marrow transplant or have stem cells as your blood cell." The doctor said, "Bone marrow transplant is a potential cure for sickle cell anemia, as for stem cell, as of now the research that has beem going on overseas are not yet accepted." He added.

"Is there anything you need to say?" She asked. "Promise me first." I said.

She nodded as tears slowly formed in my eyes.

(Play music above!)

" Hold me close 'til I get up. Time is barely on our side. I don't wanna waste what's left." I said, "The storms we chase are leading us
And love is all we'll ever trust, yeah
No, I don't wanna waste what's left." I added. She looked at me puzzled.

"And on and on we'll go. Through the wastelands, through the highways. 'Til my shadow turns to sunrays." I held her hands tightly, "And on and on we'll go, Through the wastelands, through the highways." I thought in my mind as I sighed.

"And on and on we'll go." I said to her.

*interlude*
"Subaru, what are you saying?" She asked. "Yume, I don't have much time left." I explained, "I have sickle cell anemia. The potential cure is bone marrow transplant. If I don't..." I stopped.

"You'll die." She finished as tears formed and mine started spilling.

"Oh, on we'll go." I said.

"Finding life along the way.Melodies we haven't played.No, I don't want no rest." I said as I hugged her tightly.

"Echoing around these walls. Fighting to create a song.
I don't wanna miss a beat." I whispered.

"And on and on we'll go
Through the wastelands, through the highways
'Til my shadow turns to sunrays

And on and on we'll go." I said as I kneel down and pull out a red box and open it.

A diamond ring.

She gasped.

"Yume, will you marry me?"

Tears fall down from her eyes.

"And we'll grow in number

"Yes. I will, Subaru." Yume said.

I put the ring on her ring finger as I kissed it. "I love you." I said as I stand up and kissed her on the lips full of love.

I can do this.

Hey! Done! Happy New year (or advance)! Suceeded in updating in New year!

So unlike the previous book, I ended at New Year here in my country. But now, I decided to give a romantic yet dramatic scene of SubaYume. I wouldn't say dramatic though, but let me know in the comments if you're affected.
