"You go ahead. I'll hold them off as long as I can." Dina told us.

"What? No!" I cried, grabbing her arm to stop her from heading back down the way we came.

She stopped, and grabbed my shoulders tightly, "I'll be fine."

"And if you aren't?"

She smiled. The damned idiot actually smiled. "What a little thing to sacrifice compared to saving the world."

"But-But you are my world." I protested, searching her eyes for fear, for some reason that she won't go. All I found was bravery. She had to be the better person this one time. The one time she'd die.

"I'll be fine," she repeated.

"No! You won't be! Please, Dina. Please."

I was begging now, sobbing messily and probably looking like a weak idiot. But I didn't care. As long as she didn't die, I didn't care.

Dina's eyes shifted to Nolan behind me. "Hold her back," she said.

"No!" I yelled as Nolan hands grabbed my waist roughly, holding me back as Dina headed towards those monsters. Headed willingly towards death.

I twisted and yanked, but Nolan, curse his stupid muscles, held fast. A defiant cry echoed through the tunnel as Dina faced the monsters.

Nolan picked me up and ran me away. I cursed and insulted him the whole time, still squirming, frantically trying to get out of his unyielding grasp.

By the time I got free. The sounds of Dina fighting had faded and the horrible roaring of those monsters overtook any other sound.

I fell to my knees, and mourned.
