CHAPTER FIFTY-FOUR
Lucio's POV:
Who would probably want Kate away from me and saying she cheated was the worst I should've believed the guys when they told me about this. This is more than sick my life was ruin by some fake pictures.
And such a dumb fuck how could I be so blind.
Lucio's POV: Flashback
I gripped the steering wheel so hard my knuckles turned white, my blood boiling as the pictures of Kate with another man burned in my mind. Anger coursed through me, clouding every rational thought I had. She dared to humiliate me, humiliate us, after everything I had given her? How could she do this while I was out working to ensure a life of luxury for her and our son?
My thoughts spiraled. Was the baby even mine?
The rage inside me kept building until I almost ran a red light. I slammed the brakes, the car jerking violently, but I didn't care. My head was pounding, and my vision blurred with fury. When the house came into view, I pressed the gas pedal harder, speeding into the driveway.
I slammed the car door shut so hard the sound echoed through the street. My men standing outside froze, their gazes flickering with confusion and concern. I didn't stop to explain.
They bowed as I stormed past them, divorce papers in one hand and the cursed photos in the other. My heart raced with adrenaline as I pushed open the door and marched to the kitchen, my pulse hammering in my ears.
Kate stood at the counter, her back turned as she fed the baby. She turned when she heard me enter, a soft smile lighting up her face—a smile that quickly disappeared when she saw mine.
"What's wrong, babe?" she asked, concern flickering in her eyes. She took a step toward me, rocking the baby gently, her movements soothing and natural. It made my rage boil hotter.
"Get the fuck out of my house. NOW!" My voice thundered through the room, and she jumped, her eyes wide in shock.
"What? Lucio, what are you talking about?" She took another step closer, her voice trembling slightly.
I didn't let her finish. I threw the pictures at her feet, my chest heaving as I spat, "You know exactly what I'm talking about, Kate! Don't you dare fucking play innocent with me."
She bent down, careful not to jostle the baby, and picked up the photos. The color drained from her face as she looked at them, her hands trembling.
"Lucio..." Her voice broke as tears welled up in her eyes. "This isn't me. I swear, this isn't me."
"Bullshit!" I roared, my voice shaking with fury. "You're telling me that's not you in those fucking pictures? That's not your face, your fucking hair, your body? Don't lie to me, Kate!"
"Lucio, I don't know where you got these, but it's not me!" she screamed back, her voice cracking under the weight of her sobs. The baby in her arms started crying, his wails piercing through the tension in the room.
"I don't give a fuck," I spat. "You humiliated me, Kate. You humiliated the King family. I can't even look at you."
Her tears fell freely now as she rocked the baby, her voice shaking. "Lucio, please. You know me. You know I would never—"
"Shut up!" I barked, cutting her off. "Don't fucking stand there and try to deny it. You disgust me."
Emerald and the others came rushing into the kitchen, their expressions a mix of confusion and alarm. "What the hell is going on?" Emerald demanded, her sharp gaze flicking between us.
"Oh, I'll tell you what's going on," I sneered. "Your 'perfect' Kate has been sleeping around behind my back. Look at these," I said, tossing the pictures toward her. Emerald picked them up, her eyes widening as she flipped through them.
"Kate, is this true?" Emerald asked, her voice colder than I'd ever heard it.
"It's not me! Those pictures are fake!" Kate sobbed, her desperation palpable.
Steven stepped forward, snatching the photos from Emerald's hands. His jaw tightened as he examined them. "Lucio, you can't seriously believe this," he said, his voice low but firm. "Kate hasn't left this house in months. When the fuck would she have had the time to do this?"
"She had plenty of time!" I snapped back. "Who knows what the fuck she was doing when I wasn't around."
"Lucio, stop," Michen said sharply, stepping between me and Kate. "Think about what you're saying. Kate wouldn't do this."
"She did!" I yelled. "And now, I want her out of my house. She's not taking my son either. I don't even know if he's fucking mine!"
Kate gasped, her eyes wide with hurt and disbelief. "How can you say that?" she whispered.
I took a step closer, lowering my voice to a deadly calm. "Because you're a liar, Kate. A liar and a whore."
The slap came out of nowhere, her hand colliding with my face so hard my head snapped to the side. "Don't you dare call me that," she said, her voice trembling with rage.
I took a step forward, but Michen and Steven held me back. "Get this bitch out of my house before I do something I'll regret!" I shouted, my voice echoing off the walls.
"Lucio, you're a fucking idiot," Steven spat, his eyes blazing with anger. "You're throwing away the best thing that's ever happened to you over some bullshit photos. You'll regret this. Mark my fucking words."
"Fuck off, Steven," I snapped. "If you care so much, go with her."
Kate turned to look at me one last time, her face streaked with tears. "I hope you're happy, Lucio," she said, her voice breaking. "You've destroyed us. And you'll regret it."
She grabbed the divorce papers, signed them with shaking hands, and threw them in my face before turning and walking out the door, our son in her arms. The sound of the door slamming shut was deafening.
As soon as the door slammed, the silence was suffocating. The kitchen felt colder, emptier. The realization of what had just happened began to settle over the room, and for a moment, no one said anything. The weight of their glares was heavy, and I clenched my fists to keep myself composed. I couldn't show weakness—not now, not ever.
But Steven, of course, was the first to break the silence.
"You're a fucking idiot," he hissed, stepping toward me, his fists clenched. "How the hell could you do that to her? To your son? You've lost your goddamn mind."
"She cheated!" I snapped back, holding my ground. "She's the one who ruined this. Not me."
"Oh, you're so full of shit, Lucio," Michen cut in, his voice like steel. "Those pictures? Obvious fakes. Anyone with half a brain could see that. But no, you didn't think to look closely, did you? You just saw what you wanted to see so you could justify throwing her out."
"She signed the divorce papers, didn't she?" I shot back. "She knows she's guilty. If she wasn't, she would've stayed and fought."
"Are you listening to yourself right now?" Hasley interjected, her voice filled with disbelief. "She's probably terrified. You yelled at her, called her a liar, accused her of cheating, and then told her to get out of the house. What the fuck did you expect her to do? Bow down and beg for forgiveness for something she didn't even do?"
"She's lying," I said, though my voice lacked the conviction it had moments ago. "Those pictures—"
"Those pictures are bullshit!" Steven roared, stepping closer, his face inches from mine. "You've been played, Lucio. And now you've lost her. Do you get that? You've lost her."
"Good," I lied, turning away from him. My jaw was tight, my hands shaking as I gripped the edge of the counter. "I don't need her."
"Bullshit," Michen said flatly. "You love her. And we all know it. But instead of trusting her, you let whoever sent those pictures win. You let them tear your family apart."
"Enough," I barked, slamming my fist down on the counter. The sound reverberated through the room, and everyone fell silent. I didn't want to hear any more. I didn't want to think about the possibility that they were right—that I'd just made the biggest mistake of my life.
Steven shook his head, his expression a mixture of disappointment and anger. "You'll regret this, Lucio. Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but one day you're going to wake up and realize just how badly you fucked up."
With that, he turned and walked out of the kitchen, Michen following close behind. Hasley stayed for a moment longer, her eyes boring into mine with a sadness that I didn't want to acknowledge.
"I hope you're happy, Lucio," she said quietly. "Because you just threw away the best thing that's ever happened to you."
She left, leaving me alone in the kitchen with my thoughts. The silence was deafening. I looked down at the photos on the counter, the divorce papers still lying on top of the pile.
End Of Flashback
"Dad? Yes princess? Do you love Mom?". Lucy bursted out as I drove the car to her house as she directed me.
I can't tell her a lie neither can I let her feel like I don't so I told her the truth.
"Yes baby I do love your mother and I honestly regret ever leaving her". I said as a tear rolled down my cheek.
Kate looked at me with regret I could see pain in her eyes and she use her thumb and wiped away my tears. She gave me a small smile then started fidgeting with her fingers. I could tell she was nervous.
"Mom are you guys gonna kiss?". Lucia asked fixing her glasses.
"Baby why do you think that?". Kate looked back in the car asking Lucia
"Mom I saw it in the movies ". Lucia smiled at her mother saying.
And with that I gave Kate a kiss on the cheek.
"Ewww Dad". Luca and Lucian blurted out.
Kate cheeks were now red but she quickly hid it.
And with that I knew it's gone take a long time for her to forgive me and I'll do anything to get back this woman to be my wife and I'll do everything for us to be back a family a new start.
