Author's Pov:

Days went so fast that only 2 days were remaining for the marriage. Vernon's mother was so strict about not meeting that she even made Hana and Harin stay with her. Vernon started living with his parents. She believed it was a good sign if they didn't meet each other. Vernon and Y/n talked to each other secretly by calling but didn't meet. They even adjusted a single bed in Y/n's room so that Hana can sleep on that. Also Harin and Joshua were officially a couple.

It was 2 am, Y/n, Harin and Hana were sleeping in a same room. "Y/n", "Y/n", Someone was trying to wake her up. Y/n slowly opened her eyes. She gasped, "Wh- mhm", The person shut her mouth. "Shh". "How did you enter?", Y/n whispered shouted. "Through window".

It was Vernon. Y/n looked at her side to see Harin and Hana in deep sleep. "Come with me", Vernon took her to the window. First Vernon jumped out and then with his help Y/n jumped down too.

"But won't they notice that I am not here", Y/n hesitantly said. "Don't worry I have taken care of that too", he pointed some where. Y/n looked at that direction. There stood Joshua and a sleepy Seungkwan waving at her who was glaring at Vernon earlier. Y/n smiled at them.

"Don't tell me you woke them up from the sleep", Y/n asked. "No, they woke up themselves as soon as I mentioned Harin and Hana. You know those 2 girls are so busy keeping an eye on you that they didn't meet their boyfriend", Vernon explained.

"Now come", Vernon dragged her with him to his bike. "Here", he made her wear helmet. "But where are we going?", she asked. Vernon didn't reply anything. Y/n rested her head on his back while hugging him, "Just make sure I don't end up in hospital", Y/n murmured.

Soon they reached their house. Vernon slowly opened the door. He closed Y/n's eyes, "What are you doing?", she asked. Soon he took her to a room. Y/n opened her eyes. Soft music started playing. It wasn't totally dark. Vernon came infront of her, "What to have a dance with me?", he asked. Y/n laughed. The only source of light was moon. Vernon took her hand and started dancing.

Both kept the eye contact while dancing. "I want to see you in wedding dress so bad. Eomma didn't even let me see you", Vernon said joining his forehead to hers. Their body slowly moving as the music goes on. Vernon slowly intertwined his hands with hers. "Just 2 more days Vernon and you will see me in wedding dress", Y/n smiled. "I can't wait", Vernon said. "But why suddenly you brought me here? Just for dance?", Y/n asked.

"Yeah, that is there too but also there is another reason. I'll tell you that later, for now let's just enjoy our moment", Vernon said and spinned her around back hugging her. "Vernon, if you don't mind", she felt Vernon nod, "Can we both share same room after the wedding?". Vernon made her face him, "I would love to".

Time skip,

"I didn't even realise it is 3 am", Y/n said. "Y/n, as I said before there are 2 reasons I brought you here. I wanted to tell you about Areum. For a long time you were curious about what happened. We are getting married soon, you should each and everything about my family", Vernon said in a serious tone.

"I was something like 10 when this happened. Areum's mother is such a person who won't let any one hurt her pride even if she did others. She is a person who expects you to give her respect when she, herself treats you like a dirt. You know Areum is adopted. Areum's real parents died when she was too young. Her parents always expected Areum to be on top. She was 8 when she was adopted.

The reason she was adopted is because of her mother. After 8 years of marriage she couldn't conceive. Some of my relatives started to gossip about her and sometimes they used to intentionally brag about their children infront of her, it sounded more like a taunt. That's when she adopted Areum. Mrs.Hwang wanted Areum to become an all rounder. She wanted that because she wanted all to praise her daughter. A lot of times we had seen Areum cry because of how her mother used to always force her to do something.

Areum was always treated like a robot instead of a daughter. She craved for her mother's love. That's why we say she will do anything to make her mother happy. No doubt they pampered her alot. If she needed something, she would get it but at the same time she was expected to be perfect.

One day while we all cousins were playing, our mothers had a fight between them. Eomma wasn't there at that time. But according to what I remember it was because how others told her mother not to treat Areum like that. Mrs. Hwang got angry later then she stopped attending functions and normal family gatherings. That's how the distance grew among us. Areum always wanted to meet us but knowing it would make her mother mad, she didn't. One day she met us without her mother knowing. The very next day, she stopped talking us, she would treat us like strangers.

She was always like her mother's puppet. Slowly, everything went back to normal. But still the behavior remained same. The distance created by her mother just kept on increasing. Areum slowly started to act like her mother, which we definitely don't like. She is sweet but her mother made her like this. If her mother wants anything then she will do it", Vernon explained.

"But I exactly don't know what happened but Mingyu and Areum had a huge fight once. Only Yuna knows what exactly happened. They did not tell us though", Vernon said. Y/n sadly smiled, "She must have been through a hard time".

Their talk was interrupted by a phone call, "It is Harin".

Harin: Girl! Where are you? Come back home. You father is searching for you. We told him that you have gone to the nearest store to bring some snacks cause I was hungry

Y/n: I'll be back.

"We need to go back. Also while going we need to get some snacks", Y/n said. She told him everything Harin told her. "Shit, if Eomma gets to know she will kill me", Vernon said.

Vernon dropped Y/n near her house. As she didn't want her father to see him. "Bye, it was nice", she said in hurry. Vernon pulled her back, "Good morning". Y/n smiled, "Good morning". She pecked his cheeks and ran away.

As soon as she entered her house, she saw her father sitting on chair waiting for her at the entrance. "You are a good actor Y/n. You can do this", she whispered, "Appa? Why are you awake at this time? It is almost 4", Y/n said in a suprised voice. "I am your father, Y/n", Her Appa said.

Y/n raised her eyebrow, "Is there any doubt in that? Of course, You are my father". Her father cleared his throat and turned behind,"What are these two boys doing here?". Y/n looked behind to see Joshua and Seungkwan who mouthed a small sorry. Joshua had an ice pack on his head. "How can I know Appa? I went to the store, because Harin wanted something to eat", Y/n said.

"Really?", Y/n confidently nodded. "Is that so Harin?", he looked at Harin who confidently nodded. "Okay then but next time inform me. You two stay here for today", he said and went to his room.

"Huff, you could have told us that you were going and this idiot sneaked in such a way that I thought it was thief", Harin slapped Joshua's shoulder. "Don't blame me, look what you did. My poor head", Joshua caresses his  smal yet visible bump.

"Let's just go to my room and talk. Also tell me what happened when I was gone".

After Y/n left,

Hana and Harin were sleeping. Joshua and Seungkwan who were outside decided to go inside by window. Slowly sneaking in, "Aish, what will you guys make me do I don't know", Seungkwan whined. "Let's go our respective girlfriends shall we?", Joshua politely whispered.

While walking Joshua's hand hit the frame kept on the night table. He slowly bent down to pick up the frame but...

"Thief", Harin shouted and threw a thing which found the nearest thing she found, turned out to be a book. The book directly hit Joshua's face making him hiss.

Hana too got up hearing. She screamed seeing a face near to her. She slapped the face and said, "I have a boyfriend". Hana kicked him making him fall down. "Ya it's me-", Seungkwan tried to tell but was stopped seeing were Hana was about to kick, "Hana, not our future kids", he screamed holding his private part.

"Seungkwan?", Hana's voice hinted confusion. She ran to switch and turned on the lights. On the other side she saw Joshua holding his head.

"Oh My God, Joshua? What are you doing here?", Harin ran towards him and sat seeing the spot she hit. "Aww, does it hurt?", she touched his head.

"Y/n? Harin? Hana? Are you okay?", Y/n's father knocked the door.

Present,

"So that's what happened. We just made up the story that you were it to get some snacks", Harin said. Y/n busrt out into laughter hearing this, "Oh My gosh, Harin amd Hana. I never knew Hana is just like Harin. First it was Chan and now it is Joshua", she wiped her tears.

"Also poor Seungkwan, you were saved", Y/n giggled. "Now I want to sleep", Seungkwan said in a tired tone.

Same night:

Mingyu was in deep sleep when his phone started vibrating because of notification, "Aish, who is messaging me this late", the picked up his phone to see Areum's name, "What does this girl want know?".

Areum

I want to talk to you
about Y/n...
Please meet me tomorrow..
Come to my office at 5pm..

"What is she upto now?", Mingyu murmured and slept back leaving her on seen.
