Author's Pov:

"Hey! Are these cookies for us?", Vernon asked opening the box of cookies given by Y/n's father. "Yeah", Y/n closed her book, "Appa was bored sitting at home so he made some".

"It's nice then", he said and took a cookie. He sat on the couch and saw the book Y/n was reading, "You still like reading books?", he asked. "Yeah, but not like before".

"That time you were mostly seen in either library or class. You were such a book worm", Vernon said. "I was not a book worm okay. I just liked places were it was silence and library was one among them", Y/n replied.

"Really! I don't think so. I had always seen you surrounded by books in library", Vernon furrowed his brows. "Huh, I sometimes used to do time pass there. You know right how strict the librarian was, it was his rule that no one should sit there without a book. So, sometimes I used to take a book and look at the pictures in it", Y/n explained.

"Woah, Really? We always thought you were a book worm and sometimes used to call you-", he suddenly stopped after realising what he said. Unfortunately Y/n heard everything, "What did you call me?", she asked. "It wasn't me who gave you called you that but some of my friends", he said. Y/n rolled her eyes,"That is not an answer to my question".

Vernon was saved because someone was at the door. "I will go and open the door", Y/n got up. "Huff, I am saved", Vernon whispered. "I am back. Y/n-ie, I am proud of you", Jisoo said who came running and hugged Y/n. "But why? What did she do?", Vernon asked.

"What are doing being her fiancée? Don't you know Y/n sued Hwang company?", Jisoo said. "Now, they have to bear a quite a huge loss. Appa told me this".

"I knew that you sued them but it won't be that huge, right?", Vernon said. "They have to pay us 70% of their 6 years profit as per the contract plus they bought the company at a high price. Most of the profits that Diamond company got was because of us. So yeah, it is a loss for them", Y/n said. "Woah, it is something I never expected", Vernon was shocked after listening to the condition, "But why did you add that condition?", Vernon asked.

"It wasn't me but the former CEO did, he thought that what if I suddenly terminate the contract so he requested to add this", Y/n explained. "Areum must be burning in anger right now", Jisoo said. "More than Areum, her mother would be", Vernon said.

"It would be funny to see her", Jisoo laughed, "Remember Vernon, when we always tried to annoy her when we were kids", he nodded, "And Areum always used to be the one to help us".

One thing roamed in Y/n's mind. According to their talks it looked as if they were too close in childhood, even Yuna said the same but what went wrong that they don't like to stay with each other, what makes them feel annoying about Areum. She wanted those answers and didn't know whom to ask. She thought to ask Vernon but something was stopping her.

"Yah Y/n, come out of your dream land", Jisoo said, "What were you thinking?". "What happen between Areum and you all?", she asked. Jisoo and Vernon looked at each other, "It's better if Vernon tells you", Jisoo said in a hesitant voice. Hearing her hesitant voice Y/n asked, "Was it something huge?". They both smiled and shook their head, "No but we have never talked about this topic for a long time. So we sounded quite hesitant", Jisoo said. Y/n understood.

"Hmm, I am sorry to trouble you. Tomorrow I wont come late", Jisoo gave a side hug to Y/n. "Seriously, you and Siwoo always fight like 5 year old. At this age you are behaving like children", Vernon said. "Remember you are also same age as mine but 3 months older", Jisoo frowned. "So what?", he asked. "But what was the fight for?", Y/n asked.

Few hours before, Jisoo called Y/n and asked if she could stay with them for 3 days because she had a fight with Siwoo, not a huge one but just siblings fight. Y/n went to kitchen to bring the cookies and Jisoo followed her.

"He is just 10 minutes elder than me but look at him. He behaves as if he is 10 years older", she said, "Older brother are always annoying".

"Yah, it is you who is annoying. Not older but Younger ones are always annoying", Siwoo said who entered the kitchen. "What are you doing here? Which idiot let you enter this house?", she yelled. "It was me who let him in", Vernon said standing behind him.

"Why did you come here?", Jisoo rolled her eyes, "If you are here to say sorry then I am not forgiving you". He scoffed, "I am not here to say sorry. Why would I say sorry to you? I am here just because you forgot some of your clothes. Here", he gave her a bag with some clothes in it. Jisoo looked at him with wide eyes, "So you are not here to say sorry", he shook his head. "Okay then get lost if your work is done", she said and pushed him out of kitchen.

They both again started arguing. "Stop", Y/n said and everything went silent. They looked at her for a second then again started fighting. "It's of no use. Until they pull 2-3 strands of each other's hair, they won't quit", Vernon said as it was a common thing for him. He took a pack of chips from the cabinet and sat on a chair watching them argue.

"Don't stand, come and sit here. It won't stop so early. They need at least half an hour to finish", Vernon pulled a chair for Y/n. She looked at him in disbelief and sat on the chair. "You have a habit of this don't you?", she asked. He nodded, "When we were kids, our parents always used to meet atleast twice a month so that we could have a bond among each other. Soon we all got close. Some of us went to same school or some others lived near each other".

"But as time went out parents stopped meeting but we continued. Later, if was common for us to have either Siwoo or Jisoo in our house because of their arguments once in a month", he said. Y/n nodded, then furrowed her brows, "What nickname you have me?. Vernon was taken aback. He thought she might forget it but she didn't. "Huh, Umm. Hey, hi, Hello, l-look who is here", he pointed at the door and waved his hand.

Seungcheol was standing there judging Siwoo and Jisoo having a war between them. Y/n ran and hugged him, "You are back. You could have told me that you are here". He looked at her and said, "I tried calling you but you didn't pick up. So, I called Vernon. He asked me to come here. I didn't know there will be war going on here", he shifted his eyes to Jisoo and Siwoo.

"They are his cousins. Both are twins. Jisoo is staying here because they both fought and he is here to give her some clothes she left behind. We four are of same age", Y/n said. He nodded.

"I am telling you elder siblings are always annoying. Best example is you", Jisoo repeated this sentence for 4th time, "You believe in Y/n?", Siwoo confidently nodded. Jisoo stormed towards Y/n and pulled her along with her. "Y/n, tell him that elder siblings are annoying. You have an elder brother. You must know".

Y/n stood between them not knowing what to say, "Guys, you both have 10 minutes difference. I don't think it actually matters. It-"

"It matters. 10 minutes can be too long", both said in unison. "Tell me who always starts a fight", Siwoo asked. "Seung-", "ME? When did start a fight?", he then stood infront of Y/n. "Yeah, it is always you who starts the fight. You always pull my hair, sometimes steal my snacks too and then don't forget you always take the remote away from me", Y/n sulked.

"Yah, look at her", Seungcheol eyes popped out, "Younger siblings are annoying". "See, I told you right. Even-", Siwoo paused for a second not knowing how to address Seungcheol. "Hyung, I am elder than you", Siwoo nodded and continued his sentence, "Even hyung agrees. Younger siblings are idiots".

"Everyone, why don't we end this with a cookie?", Vernon awkwardly raised the box of cookies but the poor guy was ignored. The four started to argue. "Puff, how their parents deal with them. Wait- What if my children turns out to be like them?", Vernon whispered, "How am I supposed to solve them? What if Y/n and Jisoo join my younger child and others with my elder child in such arguments".

He sat their waiting for them to finish their argument. It was like a show for him how sometimes one would say some totally senseless things just to irk the other. He their relationship beautiful, no matter how much they fight at the end they are ready to fight for each other. "Aww, my chips packet is finished too", he said and got up from his chair. He threw the packet into dustbin. "How should I stop them?", he thought for a second.

"Yah, just accept your defeat", Siwoo said. "Why should we-", Jisoo's words were stopped because of loud music. "Thank God you four stopped. Please don't argue now", Vernon shouted. "Turn off the music", Y/n too shouted. Vernon shook his head, "Not until you promise me that this war will end here". All the four promised him. Vernon went and turned of the music, "Good, it feels good".

It was silence. "I'll go now. Bye", Siwoo said and made a face looking at Jisoo. "I'll go too. Bye", Seungcheol said and hugged Vernon. "Bye", Y/n was still pouting. After both went, Jisoo said, "Good night. I am going to sleep now. I am sleepy", Y/n too said the same thing and both went to the room. "Good night".
