Author's Pov:

"What's wrong, Y/n? Is everything okay?", Yuna asked after seeing Y/n's tensed face. Harin started to explain everything. "What! she really went to that level", Siwoo stood up.

"Wait I'll call her right now", Jisoo said, "but I don't have her number". All looked at her. Y/n sighed, "No need. I'll handle everything. Harin, we are going now", she said and went to her room.

"Hmm, I'll go too. You guys have your breakfast. Don't worry about this. Y/n can handle everything", Harin said. "Are you sure? We can talk to Areum about this", Siwoo said.  "No need. I think we should leave it on Y/n and let her decide what to do", Vernon said. Mingyu was quiet all the time.

Time skip,

Y/n walked out of elevator. Harin was behind her. "Y/n, what should do about it now?", she asked. "I want all the team members in meeting room in just 10 minutes", she said in a stern voice.

"Why is she suddenly calling us"
"I am afraid. Did we do something wrong?"
"She is good as a person but about work she is serious"

The employees were whispering to each other but suddenly everyone went quite when she entered. Her sharp gaze made them stop. Everyone stood up. "Please sit down", she said.

"I know you all confused because of this sudden meeting. I will come straight to point", she took a deep breath, "I announce that this project will be stopped for a while. The project we were working on is one of the most important one and you'll have idea of that. I have seen how all of the team members have worked hard and I appreciate it. You have been working for this project for a month. Some of them have over worked for this project. This decision is made by me and the owner of BSK company", All were baffled listening to it.

Most of the team members have been working with Y/n for long time. They knew how much this project meant to her. "I am sorry ma'am but suddenly why?", Mr. Park asked who was leading the team. "I was coming to that point. We all already know that Diamond company is now under Hwang company. Also, Someone has leaked the information about this project. Until we know who is it, this project will stopped for a while. Mr. Park, please meet me in my cabin. Thank you", she walked out of room.

"Harin, it's it that bad?", one of the employee asked. "It has been stopped for a while. It will start again. Stay positive everyone. Mr.Park will let you all know everything soon. Hwaiting", Harin said.

In Y/n's Cabin,

"Mr. Park. We have appointed a team who are looking into the matter. I don't want anyone to know about it and you are going to make sure of that", She said. He nodded, "Yes ma'am. I'll make sure this remains between us", he said. "I hope there is a back up plan for this", she asked. Y/n knew Mr.Park always keeps back up plans just in case. "Yes ma'am, once the final decision is made we will see what to do about the other plan", Mr.Park bowed and went out.

"Y/n, who is Areum?", Harin asked. She heard her name once in Y/n's house. "She one of Vernon's cousin", Y/n replied. "But why is she related to this?", she asked again. Y/n told her about last night that everything happen. "So you mean that Areum is trying to do this all because you are Vernon's fiancée", Harin said.

"We don't Harin what exactly is her motive but if it is the reason then-", Y/n was stopped when one of her employee entered the cabin, "I am sorry ma'am to disturb but I want to tell you something", she said. Y/n nodded and made her sit down.

Vernon's Pov:

"So that is what happened", Seungkwan said, "But I am impressed with the way she is handling that. She is purely a business women", he praised.

"Shouldn't you be tensed too? Like you have equally part in it", I asked. "I am but not showing it. But you need to take care of Y/n. She must not be too much stressed", He said. "I know Seungkwan. She just didn't even eat her breakfast properly and rushed to office".

"Yeah. Luckily I had no meeting scheduled today morning so she arranged a meeting in short time", he said. After talking to him I felt quite relieved. Today morning Y/n just hurried to her office. After knowing it was related to Areum somehow made me feel uneasy. "Y/n doesn't even know how bad Areum can be", Seungkwan said. "But the good thing is Areum doesn't know how bad Y/n can be if someone tries to destroy her", I replied.

I have known her for 4 years. Y/n can be too competitive. If Areum or her mother who has bad intentions then they have a tough competitor to compete with.

Author's Pov:

"I want to meet Areum right now", a voice said to Areum's secretary. "Oh-You? What are you doing here. Come with me", Areum said. That person followed her. "What are you doing?" He asked. "If you are talking about Y/n then let me tell you. Do not interfere, Mingyu", she said. "Ohh, I will not but if this is the same reason as before then let me tell you, I won't be quiet like last time", he warned her.

"Let's see what you will do. Cause there's no going back. There is advantage for you too. If you still have crush on her", she smiled. "You have a beautiful smile, Areum but your wicked thoughts makes it look only worse", she stopped smiling. "Really? But I am happy with my wicked thoughts", she gave a big smile.

"No matter what you do, Aruem. No will be standing beside you. We all know Areum, it is not you but your mother", Mingyu harshly said. "Don't you dare bring my mother in this", she yelled, "She didn't do anything".

Mingyu scoffed. "Don't be in denial, Areum. You have slowly started to behave like your mother, Hope you know that". "No, I am not. I am doing whatever I want to do. She is not related to it. I am not like my mother, understand", she said.

Mingyu sighed. He knew, he was being way too harsh by bringing up her mother which is a sensitive topic for her. But knowing all the things she has done before, Mingyu couldn't control his anger.

"It is not to long. Change yourself. We don’t want you to be the next Mrs. Hwang", he gently said. "Why do you all care now all of sudden? Huh? Cause the reason is Y/n, again?", she asked. "Remember Areum. We were always on your side before you decided to push us away for your mother", Mingyu said and went away without listening to her

Areum stood there like a statue. "I-I pushed them away?", she whispered. "Yah, it was you all who went away. You are the one who ignored me like I never existed before", she shouted and threw a glass at the door. She sat down. "Am I really becoming like my mother?".

Mingyu stood outside the door. He could hear her. "I am sorry, Areum", he whispered.  He called her secretary and said, "Please take care of her". Her secretary nodded and said, "Please don't hate her. She is not bad but situations made her behave like this".

"I know but she needs to understand that", Mingyu looked back at the door, "Anyways take care of her. We have been trusting you for a long time. She is our Maknae after all".

Meanwhile,

"Y/n-ie, I hope you are not busy", Yuna said peeking inside. "No, not at all. Come inside", Y/n smiled. Yuna sat down and smiled back, "Y/n, I was just passing so I decided to meet you", she said.

"Umm, Y/n, you are new to our family. You don't know much about the past. You will slowly know everything but please don't hate Areum for whatevershe is doing", Yuna said. "Why would I hate her?", Y/n furrowed her brows. "Because what she did. Believe me Y/n, she was not like this before, she was sweet. We all together used to play and have fun when we were kids. But as we grew up due to some reasons she started to avoid us. I agree we hate her when she is annoying but if you see the old Areum, you will be  in love with her", Yuna said.

"It's her mother ,Y/n, she is controlling Areum. To impress her mother, Areum can do anything", Yuna said. "I know Areum is not like that. It was her mother who terminated the contract and leaked about the project. Areum is trying to cover her up", Y/n said.

Flashback:

"Ma'am, after Mr.Park told us everything. I thought telling you this will be better", she said, "Yesterday, something like 10 in the night I was out with my friends and one of us was taking our photos and videos. In some of those, I saw miss. Lee giving a pendrive to a lady". The employee showed Y/n and Harin the video.

"Thank you for letting us know. Please that video to Harin and me. Also don't tell this to anyone", the employee nodded and went out.

"Y/n, was that Areum ? But you said she is young right. In this video she is looking like a ajumma", Harin said. "It's not Areum but her mother.  Call Miss. Lee right now", Y/n said. "But she is on holiday for 2 days due to some personal reason", Harin replied.

Present:

"It was her mother!", Y/n nodded. "If my employee won't have been there. We would have blamed Areum. It was her mother who did that all while Areum didn't even have a single idea cause she was with us that time", Y/n said, "Even Miss.Lee is on 2 days nor she is picking up her phone. Once we get to know everything I'll let you know".
