CHAPTER 5 | LETTING YOU GO...

Crumpling your eyebrows at the printing machine deposited on the marble floor, you let out a sigh at its tantrum, "This machine is giving me a hard time. Why the hell does it have to stop printing after every ten seconds?"

Clutching onto the stapled papers in your hand you raised your feet before striking the bottom of the machine with the side of your right foot, "Just get yourself together." You declared it to the machine, which was more like saying it to yourself.

Striking another kick at the machine, "Come on." You whispered when you heard a sonorous voice beside yourself, "If you want to break it, Kick harder."

Blinking your eyes twice, you gulped down a lump in your throat before turning to look at the speaking person, "Mr. Jeon?" You whispered while pressing your lips together, "No, no. You are getting it wrong. I don't wanna break it."

Watching him ambling towards you with his pocketed hands, you could feel the edgy feeling lingering around your heart while looking down at the floor in abashment, "It's just that it was not working properly. I have to get the presentations checked by you and this machine is not working."

"Hmm... Let me help you." Twitching your head back at him as he stood in front of you, "No. No. You shouldn't. I will just take help from my friends." Shaking his head left and right, he declared, "Yes, of course. Your friend is here. You remember we agreed on being friends last night."

Staring at him, you reluctantly nodded, "Yeah." Watching him unbuttoning the cuff of his white shirt you glanced at his pale skin, his sturdy forearms disclosed gradually while the bulging veins were just cherry on top.

Crouching beside the printer, Jungkook pulled over his other sleeve before opening the paper tray and glancing inside the mechanism.

Taking a step closer, you peeked over before he pulled the stuck paper out making your eyebrows arch in amusement while your lips were apart in an 'o' shape, "Oh, It was the paper." Taking a glance, he looked at you before bobbing his eyebrows at you and raising his feet off the floor.

"Thank you so much, Mr. Jeon." You whispered, "It's nothing." Crushing the paper in his fist, "Oh, let me throw it away." You muttered stretching your hand but he said, "No, It's okay. You can continue with your work. I will be waiting for you in the office." You nodded looking at him as he smiled which you reciprocated, "Okay."

Walking off the hallway, Jungkook made his way towards his cabin. You took a glance at his broad back before pressing the printing button.

Standing at the door of his cabin, he turned around, taking a deep breath before calling out to his secretary, "Secretary Choi?" Secretary Choi looked up before raising his feet, "Yes, Mr. Jeon?"

Fetching out his hand from his pocket, Jungkook raised his right eyebrow before ordering, "I want all the office printers to be replaced with new ones by tomorrow morning." Secretary Choi nodded, "It will be done by tonight, Mr. Jeon." Jungkook nodded with his pressed lips before entering his cabin, "Something is troubling her."

-

"You didn't tell me you are planning the wedding of Kim Taehyung. The actor Kim Taehyung." Ms. Shin blustered as you nodded, "Yes. Mr. Jeon called to tell me this, this morning." She parted her lips before humming, "Oh... You must be so excited." Curving your lips in a smile while nodding, "You don't know how nervous I am, Ms. Shin."

"I will be back." You whispered as she nodded before you made your way towards the restroom, "How am I gonna face him?" Licking your lips together, you gulped down a lump in your throat, "Every time I think of him. I remember how I left him all alone, messed up and crying. He called me once, twice but I didn't look at him even once."

"We were together four years ago but now we are strangers. He has moved on and he has all the right to do so. It's his life. I have also come pretty far in my life. Did I?" Shaking off the negative thought in your mind, you let out a deep breath, "There is just one relationship between us and that is, he is my client and I am his wedding planner." You nodded to yourself, looking straight in the mirror of the restroom.

"Stop thinking about him and focus on your work, Y/n." Licking your lips before biting your lower one, you pressed your lips together after rubbing the pink lip gloss over them.

You haven't felt your heart at peace since yesterday when the news just flashed in front of your eyes.

Walking out of the restroom, the whispers and mutters, reached your eardrum as you squinted your eyes before glancing at the corner of the hallways.

Ambling in the direction of the mutterings, "He is so handsome." "Literally! He is so handsome in real life." Two of the interns tittle-tattled before you glanced at them with one of your eyebrows raised, "Did you finish the work I gave you both?"

Blinking, glancing at the back of their heads, the interns gradually turned around with their pressed lips while you tilted your head as their eyes met yours.

"Ms. Lee? We were just about to complete it." Eve uttered, making you nod as you said, "I have a meeting with the clients, I will check once it's over." You declared as Eve and Luna nodded, "Yes, Ms. Lee." Letting a nod you were about to walk past them when you heard Luna, "Ms. Lee?" Turning around you looked at her, "Yes?" You asked gently before she threw a question, "Are you gonna plan Kim Taehyung's wedding? You have a meeting with him?"

Crumpling your eyebrows, you looked behind her shoulders, "He is here?" You asked while your heart hammered against your ribcage before you heard, "Yes, He just arrived... With his fiance." Your heart sank at the end of Eve's sentence as you twitched your eyes to look at her before gulping down a lump in your throat.

Reluctantly nodding at the two before stammering, "Yes. I am... his wedding planner." You forcefully let out the words stuck in your throat.

Letting out a sigh you heard Eve and Luna cheering with each other, "Oh wow! You are so lucky to plan Kim Taehyung's wedding. Congratulations, Ms. Lee." Luna complimented yet you just glanced into her eyes for a second or two without any expression before you departed from there, "I envy Ms. Lee." Eve pouted, glancing at your back while Luna nodded, "I know but also Ms. Lee is best at her work."

Stabling your heart just standing in front of the door that separated you and... Taehyung.

Taking in a deep breath, you pushed the half-glazed door reluctantly holding back your skyrocketing heart and churning stomach, "He is a stranger to me now. The day we got separated. Everything got over."

Taking in a deep breath, you looked at the two who were sitting on the couch of the office before your eyes met with Jungkook's almond ones as he was sitting adjacent to a female, probably Emma.

Your face described the agitation building inside you. Your eyes held uneasiness yet your lips were apart while the hold on the papers stiffened along with the iPad. Your eyebrows furrowed while your eyes were just seeking a certain one.

Trailing your orbs on the other end of Jungkook's cabin but before you could look further Jungkook introduced you, "Here she is. Meet Ms. Lee Y/n. Your wedding planner."

-

TAEHYUNG'S P.O.V.

"I want to discuss the promotion dates with the director." I muttered over the call with Jimin while he hummed in response before saying, "Okay, Mr. Kim. By the way, why didn't you tell me about your wedding plan-" I interrupted him in between, "If you don't have anything important to discuss, I am hanging up."

Parting the phone away from my ear, I heard Jimin's muffled voice, "Okay, Okay. Sorry. I just want to ask one last thing then you can hang up."

Letting out a sigh, I placed the phone back over my ear, "As I was saying..." Jimin's voice was met another one coming from behind me, "Meet Ms. Lee Y/n. Your wedding planner." Staring at the vista through the glazed surface, I blinked while I could feel my heart skipping beats before I pressed the red button on the bright screen of my phone.

This name controls my heart even after four years. Without wasting another second, I swiftly turned around to take a glance at the person with the same name yet deep down I wanted her to be my person. The person I need.

I could feel my globes halting at the same profile I used to look at years ago. Feeling my heart skyrocketing before it skipped a song.

The memories flashed back, all the moments I had spent with her. Her breathtaking smile. Her sparkling eyes. Her dainty lips. I relived them in a jiffy as if it was just yesterday... We met.

Unconsciously, I was gravitating toward her, and the surroundings came out to be blurred.

Her lips curved up, and she smiled like a flowing river yet the amber rays of the sunlight skimmed over her golden skin as if the sun was shining bright behind the river, shimmering it.

The glimmer at the tip of her nose sparkled like flowing water as she shook her hand with Emma. Feeling myself stumbling over an uneven surface, I took a glance at the set of stairs before stepping down the other one.

Shaking my head once, I twitched my head back at the love of my life with my fluttering heart.

This is the first time I am seeing her in four years, "She is really her. My Y/n." I could feel my heart pounding inside my ribcage when I watched her swiftly turn around as I walked further to her.

Time stopped the moment her glimmering eyes met mine. She just took my breath away at that keen moment.

Never blinked even for a single second as I just wiggled my eyes through hers, trying to gain an expression from her but didn't get any.

Her bewitching eyes mesmerize me every time, "Mr. Kim Taehyung, Meet your wedding planner. Ms. Lee-" Mr. Jeon introduced her to me but I completed his sentence, "Y/n. Nice to meet you." I looked at her with nothing but a wish which needed to be fulfilled. Be mine.

"Nice to meet you, Mr. Kim." Her stammering yet melodious voice reached my heart which had been craving for her honeyed voice yet her voice didn't give any hint that she knew me already.

My eyebrows furrowed but stretched my hand for her to shake as I felt a hint of guilt gushing through her eyes before she glided her soft hands against mine.

Feeling my adrenaline gushing at her cold smooth touch which could cure millions.

Feeling a hold around my left arm which was pocketed, I took a glance at Emma who stood beside me with her arms wrapped around mine, "Meet my soon-to-be husband." Emma declared as I discerned Y/n instantly sliding her hand off from mine but the papers in her hold fell out of her hands, "Oh, I am sorry." She muttered before she crouched down immediately.

Holding out my hands, I was about to crouch beside her when I watched Mr. Jeon doing the same.

I squinted my eyes yet couldn't do anything, "Should we sit?" Emma asked but my eyes were focused on the two of them as Mr. Jeon's hand skimmed against Y/n's making my fist stiffen. I could feel an envious emotion lingering around my heart before I nodded to Emma.

Gulping down a lump in my throat as I took a seat beside Emma maintaining proper distance between us before taking another glance at Mr. Jeon when I heard him whisper, "See, I was right last night. You become clumsy when you are nervous." Y/n looked at him with a mild smile before she took the papers from him as he continued, "Don't be nervous. I am here for you."

Her smile widened at his sentence as she whispered, "Thank you, Mr. Jeon." Turning my head back, I looked at my fisted hand as my knuckles were turning white, "Did she move on? Of course, I am here getting married to someone. I don't have any right to ask her that question but still... Is she dating him? Have I lost her forever?"

Sometimes letting go is your love language but the one who holds onto their love till the last breath is the real lover...
The loser in love is the one who let go of their lover.
