Four

Days went by like that and people got a great idea about me and Jax, and now it was time for phase two. On Friday, I went to my former friends' table at lunch with a pretty smile on my face.

My gaze involuntarily darted to Noah first. He sat there quietly, playing with his food. He didn't talk to me in Home Ec. class yesterday. I didn't know how to start a conversation either, so I also kept quiet. His reaction still bugged me, but I didn't know what to say.

I blame Miss Mad for this.

"Hello everyone." I greeted them in a fake cheerful tone. "It's a lovely day, isn't it?" I glanced out through the window behind them.

They all blinked at me in surprise while Jax smiled, getting up from his seat.

"Lexi. What do we owe for this pleasure visit?" He purred trying to be seductive, I blinked at him.

He's terrible at this.

"I wanted to invite you all to Kevin's party tomorrow." I ran my finger down his arm in a flirty way. "You'll come, right?" I fluttered my eyelashes.

Kevin threw amazing parties, and we invited only particular people. Everyone dies to come but few make it.

"Of course." He grinned and plopped his arm around my shoulders. "We'll all come."

"No, we won't." Ivy barked, narrowing her eyes at me. "We have more important things to do."

"I have nothing important to do-" Darren said from his seat and groaned when Vanessa elbowed him in his stomach.

Ouch! Why is he with this viper again?

"I don't care about you all." Sweetly smiling at them, I turned to Jax. "I'll wait for you," I winked at him and left.

Oh, the look on Ivy's face was worth it!

When I entered Kevin's house, the party was swinging effortlessly. I made my way inside. Everyone greeted me on the way, and I nodded my head in acknowledgment. Even though only a specific crowd was invited to the party, Kevin's house was packed. The atmosphere inside was hot, the lights were dull and the music was loud but not preaching.

Some were dancing on the dance floor, which was in the middle of the living room, and some making out and grinding in the corner, making me gag.

Get a room, people!

I shook my head and went inside looking for my targets when I found Emily in the corner standing alone, as always.

"Are they here?" I stood next to her and observed the party.

"No." I sighed in irritation. "Are you sure they're going to come?" She pushed her glasses back and glimpsed at me.

"Oh, they will," I smirked. "How do I look?" Twirling around, I showed her my outfit.

I wore a black spaghetti strap crop top and ripped blue shorts with black velvet shoes. I let my wavy brown hair open and gathered them over my left shoulder.

"You look perfect, Lexi." Emily smiled.

"Thank you." I curtsied. "And as for you," I observed her white and black stripe shirt with black jeans and a light blue jacket. I pulled her hair out of the ponytail, messing it. "Now you look good." I beamed.

"Here are my favorite girls!" Kevin came out of nowhere and hugged us tightly. "You look stunning as always my queen." He bowed and kissed the back of my hand.

"You don't look bad either, Mr. Knight." He wore a blue button-up shirt with black pants. Kevin has a great sense of fashion.

He chuckled and looked at Emily, smiling. "I like your hair today. You should let it open more often. It looks good on you."

Emily blushed, tucking her hair behind her ear. "Thanks."

I giggled, looking between them. It was so obvious that Emily was crushing on Kevin, but I didn't ship them.

Why?

Even though Kevin's my friend, he's a player. I didn't want him to break Emily's, sweet little heart. So I warned him to stay away from her. She's my friend and I have to protect her.

Kevin smiled at her, then turned to me to say something but halted, when his eyes darted behind me. His expression turned furious and he grunted. "What the f**k are they doing here?"

I whirled on my heels and saw Jax, Noah, Darren, Bit*h, and Viper, all standing there, observing the party.

My lips curved into a mischievous smile. "I invited them."

"Why?" Kevin glared at me. "Don't tell me that rumors of you both dating are true, Lexi."

I shrugged and strode towards my former friends. "Glad you all could make it!" I said with fake enthusiasm.

Jax gave me a once-over and smiled. "You look amazing." He wore a white T-shirt with a black jacket and jeans.

"Don't I always?" I flipped my hair and side glanced at Ivy, who was watching me with an ugly scowl on her face.

"The party is awesome!" Darren exclaimed. "Let's go dance." He grabbed Vanessa's hand, he took her to the dance floor. I rolled my eyes at him.

"I'm sure you would like some drink." I clasped my hands, looking at the remaining ones. "The kitchen is this way..." I gestured towards my side. "Follow me." I walked without waiting for their responses.

I knew they were following me and took them to the kitchen. I showed them the drinks and snacks Kevin got. "Help yourself."

Jax dug in, but Ivy and Noah stood in their places. I ignored the Bit*h and asked Noah. "You're not getting anything?"

"I don't drink." He flatly said making my heart stung.

Maybe he's still angry at me.

Standing next to him I observed him. We had the same height when we were kids but now even in my heels, he's at least two inches taller than me. He wore a plain black shirt with ripped pants and a dark blue jacket that I had seen him wearing at school a lot.

No doubt he looks good.

"Hola amigos!" Kevin exclaimed, plopping his arms on Ivy and Noah's shoulders, and shook them. "It's good to have my old friends back." He gritted through his teeth and plastered a fake smile on his face, glaring at Jax.

"Great party dude," Jax said awkwardly shifting in his place.

"Of course it's great. It's my party." Kevin retorted.

"Okay..." I gave Kevin a stern look, and he narrowed his eyes at me in return. "Let's go dance, Jax." Grabbing his hand, I took him to the dance floor, and he followed me willingly.

'On the Floor' by Jennifer López was on. I bobbed my head to the beat as I took him in the middle of people.

Singing the lyrics, I moved my body in the rhythm of the music and turned towards Jax, who watched me with a smile on his face. I moved my body from side to side, grinning.

"If you go hard you gotta get on the floor,
if you're a party freak then step on the floor,
if you're an animal then tear up the floor, Break a sweat on the floor,
Yeah we work on the floor."

I continued dancing to the beat, and the surrounding people started following my moves. I jumped and pumped my hands in the air to the beat of the song. Swinging my body, I bobbed my head, and people around mimicked my moves. Our lips in sync, rapping the lyrics with huge grins on our faces.

"Don't stop, keep it movin'
Put your drinks up,
Pick your body up and drop it on the floor,
Let the rhythm change your world on the floor,
You know we're running shit tonight on the floor,
Brazil, Morocco, London to Ibiza
Straight to LA, New York, Vegas to Africa!!!"

When the beat dropped, I got closer to Jax and put his hands on my waist. Wrapping mine around his shoulders, I felt him stiffen. I leaned closer to his ear. "She's looking here."

He twisted his head a little and saw Ivy watching us. "Let's dance." He gave me his charming smile.

Letting go of my waist, he grabbed my hand and spun me. My back hit his chest and I burst to giggle as we both moved our hips and pumped our hands on the beat with everyone screaming.

"La la la la la la la la la la la la la la,
Tonight we gon' be it on the floor,
La la la la la la la la la la la la la la,
Tonight we gon' be it on the floor!

La la la la la la la la la la la la la la,
Tonight we gon' be it on the floor,
La la la la la la la la la la la la la la,
Tonight we gon' be it on the floor!!!"

A/N
Hope you guys like this chapter. It was really hard for me to write the dance scene but I still tried.
Listen to the song I add at the starting of the chapter it'll be fun that way.
