"And... we... are... done," I announced after putting light pink lipstick on Emily's lips. I step aside, letting Emily look at herself in the mirror. "You look beautiful, Em." I beamed.

"Thanks." Emily blushed and returned my smile.

It was Saturday, and I was helping Emily to get ready at my house for her date with, guess who...

Darren!

He finally had the guts to ask Emily out. Emily was anxious at first because it was her first date, but I gave her a pep talk and helped her to get ready.

I glanced at her cute pink frock, which was printed with white flowers, reaching her knees. I curled her brown hair and put a little makeup on her small face.

"What should I do with my glasses?" She asked, looking at me through the mirror.

"Keep them." I shrugged.

"But you said that they look hideous and no guy would like to date me-"

"I was wrong," I admitted, plopping onto my bed. "Darren asked you out even with your glasses, Em." I smiled. "I always thought that looking better from outside will only get people's attention and somewhat I am right... but in Darren's case, it isn't."

"You are saying..."

"I'm saying that he likes you the way you are, and even though I hate those glasses, they look cute on you." I shrugged.

"Who are you and what have you done to my Lexi?" Emily gawked.

I laughed a little, then sighed. "IDK and we are not talking about me, it's your day and... Darren, huh?" I waggled my brows.

Emily's whole face heat and she fiddled with her fingers. "Yeah..."

"How did he ask you?"

"You were busy with Noah this week and Kevin with his parents, Darren and I were left so we used to go to the library together and read books-"

"You read books with him?" I said deadpan.

"Yes- and it wasn't that bad," she rushed, "I mean he enjoyed it too, then yesterday he asked what I was doing today, and I said that I had nothing planned, so he asked if I wanted to go out with him and I froze..." She paused absentmindedly like she was having a flashback.

"Em?" She snapped her eyes to me and I waved my hand, urging her to continue.

"Yeah... um... I didn't know what to say, so I asked him to make sure if he was asking to just go out or go out like a date." Emily blew a breath out. "I made it really awkward." She said sheepishly.

"I bet you did." I chuckled. "What did he say then?"

"He went quiet for a while and you won't believe, his face turned so red that I thought he was going to explode, then I laughed and tried to lighten the mood saying I was joking but he said he wasn't then he asked and I'll quote... 'Emily will you go out on a real date with me?'." Emily finished, giving me a shy smile.

"You guys are so cute!" I gushed. "Darren's a nice guy, so don't mess things up."

"I won't." Emily chuckled, getting up and smooth her dress. "Did you find about the girl?" She asked referring to Noah.

"I don't know. He said he is over, but it didn't sound like he was exactly and he talked in riddles."

"Lexi!" My dad yelled from downstairs. "There is a boy looking for Emily."

"He's here!" I squealed, bouncing in my steps.

"You look more excited than me." Emily laughed and took her purse as we went downstairs.

"I was totally shipping you guys! So yes, I'm happy, don't ruin it for me." I looked at her sternly.

We reached downstairs and saw dad talking to Darren, and the poor boy looked horrified.

"Daddy." They turned towards us, and Darren sighed in relief when he saw us. "What are you doing?"

"Nothing." He gave Emily a smile. "Just getting to know Darren better." He put his arm around his shoulder.

"Y-yeah." Darren gulped and looked at me with a pleading gaze, asking for help.

"Let him go, daddy." I grabbed my dad's arm and pulled him to my side. "They have to get going."

"Yeah, let's go, Emily." Darren dashed outside with Emily behind him.

"Good night, Mr. Wolf." Emily gave him a polite smile, which he returned and they left.

"Bring her home before seven. I'll call Emily's parents to check on her!" Dad yelled behind them.

"Yes, sir!" Darren saluted and got in his seat.

Emily gave me an amused look, and I shrugged. We watched them as they left. "What was to talking to Darren?" I asked dad as I closed the door.

"Just giving him the talk." Dad simply replied. I raised my brows at him. "It's necessary, I got it from your grandfather when I took your mom to a date."

I laughed as he told me his story, even though I already knew, but it felt good to relive all those memories.

"That means I should keep my boyfriend away from you." I gave dad an amused look. "So that you won't scare him away."

"Noah handled me pretty well." He said. I looked at him, jaw dropped.

"Why do you think I was even talking about him?"

"Because I'm not blind." He smirked.

And here I thought he was oblivious of what was going in my life.

I spend the rest of the weekend cooking with dad and talked to Emily about her date to pass my time.

I entered my Home Eco. class and saw Miss Maddox as always, sitting on her seat, with her head buried in her magazine.

I went towards her and cleared my throat, getting her attention. "What can I do for you, Miss Wolf?" She asked without even looking at me.

"I just wanted to say that you looked really stunning on Friday." Now that made her looked at me. I smirked as she gaped at me in surprise.

"Wh-what are you-"

"I really wasn't expecting that." I pouted, looking at her clothes. "I honestly don't like the clothes you wear-" she glared at me but I ignored her and continued, "- but now I know you wear them to hide that perfect body of yours, so the girls at high school don't get jealous of you-"

"Miss Wolf." She calmly said, making me shut my mouth.

"Yes, Miss Maddox." I blinked my eyes at her.

"Go to your seat or else I will give you detention." She sternly said.

"Ok. I'll go back then." I put my hands in surrender. "BTW..." I turned my head slightly, "...your date was smoking hot."

Before she could open her mouth, I dashed towards my seat and giggled.

"Why are you giggling to yourself?" I looked up and saw Noah getting in his seat.

"Just had a friendly chat with Miss Maddox." I gave him my sweetest smile. "Did you finish making notes?"

"No." He shook his head, sitting in his seat. "Beth said we need to make the song strong."

Beth?

"What? You guys on a nicknames basis now?" I let out a dry laugh.

He never called me by my nickname.

"Yeah, Elizabeth was a mouthful so..." He shrugged his shoulders like it wasn't a big deal.

"Ok..." I cleared my throat and ignore the fire burning in my heart. "Are you changing the song?"

"No, not exactly. Just changing some lyrics and tunes with her help." He smiled to himself. "She's superb at this."

I rolled my eyes. "Of course she is," I mumbled under my breath.

"Settle down everyone class is beginning." Miss Maddox stood from her chair and started the class.

After Home Economics, I asked Noah about his plans for the day, he said he was meeting with 'Beth' again. The competition was on Saturday, and he needed a lot of work to do.

He asked me if I wanted to join them, but I politely refused his offer, because I knew I wouldn't be able to digest seeing them working together and didn't want to create any scene.

Besides, it was just for the competition they wouldn't be meeting after that, and that thought gave me a little assurance.

The rest of the week was torture for me, and time was my enemy. It was like that time was intentionally going slowly, and I literally had nothing to do.

Either I was lying on my bed staring at my phone and waited for Noah to call me because I didn't want to disturb him by calling. Or I was absently walking in my house, thinking about what Noah and Elizabeth were doing. The thought of them talking and laughing, getting closer to each other made my stomach clenched, but I controlled myself.

On Friday Noah called me saying he wanted to perform for me before the finals and show me what they come up with. I got excited and went to his house only to get surprised.

Today is 1st March and it's been two months since I started writing this book. I remember putting the prologue on New year and *sigh* I mean... Time flies so fast!

Anyways I thought of doing a double update today for you guys and Thank you for bearing me for two months XD
