Chapter 4

Chapter 4 | Type

"Mikasha?" I heard Jezrel's voice calling me from outside.

I groaned as I felt my eyes kind of hurt because of the sudden light that crossed my window. I forgot to close the curtains last night due to sleepiness.

I invited Jezrel to stay for the night and mom had no issues about it. We watched a series and due to curiosity, we both stayed up late just to finish the season.

"Bakit?" pasigaw kong tanong upang kanyang marinig.

"Tulog ka pa? Gagamit ako ng banyo," may halong tawa ang kanyang sinabi.

"Sa bandang kitchen, mayroon, ha?" I told him.

"Walang tubig... sabi ni tita riyan na lang sa kwarto mo," he stated, "nagloloko raw kasi ang tubig doon."

"Sige, sandali!" I ordered Jezrel, "mag-aayos lang ako."

"Alright!"

I half-heartedly went off my bed and stretched to ready my bones for the day.

The water felt cold to start the day and it was enough to wake my whole system rather than to relax. After taking the fastest bath in my entire life, I changed clothes, a casual one, to finally go out and let Jezrel use my bathroom.

I didn't bother applying shits on my face. I always had this confidence that even without make up or any beauty products applied, my skin remained glowing and fresh looking. My white clear skin was enough to make me beautiful. I couldn't even see traces of my eye bags which I was so thankful for, I didn't want to be similar to a panda.

"Tapos na ako," I informed Jezrel who I saw sweeping the floor, "ang sipag naman!" biro ko.

"Malamang, bisita ako rito... nakakahiyang wala akong ambag," tawa niya.

"Si mama?" I asked him as he used the dust pan to collect the dirt.

"Na sa taas, naliligo rin yata? Katatapos niya lang magluto ng almusal," he answered me.

"Hintayin ko na lang kayong matapos bago kumain," I stated.

Jezrel effortlessly went to the nearest gray garbage can and flipped the dust pan to throw the dirt inside. My lips unconsciously pouted watching him do such a thing.

"Sige, mabilis lang naman ako," he told me at the same time he was walking.

"May bisita yata kayo, e, na padating," hindi niya siguradong sabi.

"Sabi ni mama?" tanong ko.

"Oo pero hindi ko sure kung ngayon. It just slipped out of her mouth earlier," he answered, "ligo muna ako."

My head nodded twice to signal him an approval. I didn't think of the said visitor and diverted my mind into something else. I let my body sink on our soft couch and due of its comfort, my eyes almost closed to sleep again. It was hard forcing myself to stay awake while waiting for mom and Jezrel to go out.

"Mikasha?" I heard my mother's call.

"Po?"

"Mabuti naman at gising ka na. Pakibukas ang gate at nandiyan na sina ma'am Olivia—"

"Po?" now I got alerted.

Mom looked at me with a questionable face and explained, "Didn't Jezrel tell you about our visitor? Mrs. Olivia Zorron will come because we have something to discuss."

"O-Oh, sige, ma. Hintayin ko na lang siya sa gate," I immediately obeyed.

The fuck? If I only knew ma'am Olivia would come, I could've exerted an effort finding clothes to wear. Seriously, maong shorts and a black crop top? Pormahang walang class!

My thoughts stopped when a dashing black van neared our home. It was the common sign that someone from inside was probably either a known celebrity or someone rich.

A man in a black guard uniform went out to check the peripheral and when he saw no threats, he effortlessly opened the elegant looking door.

A pair of red shiny stiletto caught my eyes, it screamed so much authority and would make you think that the woman in those shoes wasn't easy to please. Mrs. Olivia Zorron fully went out from the car and smiled sweetly when she noticed me standing, waiting for her.

Sabi ko na, e! Dapat talaga'y naghanda ako ng susuotin. I probably looked like some teens who just went from a bar.

"Good morning, ma'am," I greeted, sounding confident.

"Good morning as well, Mikasha," her voice was a mixture of softness and danger, "Trojan, pakibilisan. Mainit na, oh," she called.

What?

"Oh, kasama po ninyo ang anak ninyo?" I couldn't help but to ask!

"Yes, he isn't busy naman and later, may groupings daw siya sa bahay ng kaklase... malapit dito," Mrs. Olivia answered me.

When Trojan finally came off, I unconsciously swallowed and looked away. He only wore his casual clothes, gray shirt and black knee shorts with that disturbing gold necklace around his neck.

"Pasok na po kayo," I tried to sound jolly to cover up my nervousness.

Seriously, Mikasha, why were you suddenly acting like a freak? As if you hadn't met him in person? This was like the third time and you still couldn't get the hang of it? I should really stop being an idiot when it comes to Trojan. How could he send such an effect to me that other guys couldn't?

"Good morning, ma'am!" bati ng aking ina.

They both greeted each other and even Trojan politely talked. That wasn't so like him, I commented. Seeing him being kind was such a rare case to watch, his aura always seemed so mysterious that could lead you into the conclusion that he'd do bad shits everytime.

"Sakto at kakain pa lang kami. Mikasha, tawagin mo na si Jezrel. Na sa kuwarto mo pa ba siya?" mom suddenly attacked me.

"Opo, tawagin ko lang," I excused myself and didn't waste another second to check Trojan's reaction.

I closed my room's door as I entered. I knocked twice on my bathroom and asked, "Tapos ka, Jezrel?"

"Oo!" he responded, "nagbibihis na lang."

"Sige, labas ka na lang... nandito na kasi ang bisita ni mama, tutulong lang ako," I informed him.

Hindi na ako naghintay pa ng kanyang kasagutan at muling lumabas upang tulungan ang ina sa paghanda ng hapag kainan.

Mrs. Olivia kept praising the things her eyes saw fascinating while I silently set the table by putting plates and utensils.

"Oh my, is that the pearl we bought from Japan?" Mrs. Olivia Zorron asked when she saw the expensive bowl made of pearl.

They talked about it and I couldn't rate so I remained quiet. My eyes unconsciously drifted at Trojan, who I realized, was watching me the whole time.

A brow of his lifted when he met my eyes staring at him. I rolled my eyes over, acting like I didn't care, to avoid getting caught.

I heard him chuckle deeply, as if I was so fun to watch. Once again, I glaced at him and found his devilish smirk directed at me.

Trip nito?

Thank all of the gods, Jezrel finally came from his bath and mom immediately ordered us to sit down and eat.

Trojan would comment when he wanted and I won't deny that he amazed me more when I noticed his potential in business.

"Mikasha, paabot ng catsup," Jezrel whispered to me.

Since our round table only had five chairs, the person beside me was Trojan. As my left hand reached for the banana catsup, his addicting scent possessed my sense of smell and the bottle of catsup almost slipped from my hold.

Was this real or was I just exaggerating everything about him? I couldn't remember myself being this descriptive, attentive and conscious to a guy.

I handed Jezrel the catsup and observed him. A minute passed yet I couldn't feel that emotion coming from Trojan. Was I being biased or something?

I awkwardly groaned in frustration and took a spoonful of my rice.

"Ayaw lumabas, ha," Jezrel chuckled because the catsup won't cooperate.

"Itaktak mo kasi," I told him which he did but in a wrong way.

"Ganito, oh," I said and grabbed the catsup from his hand.

I madly slapped the bottle's end which didn't disappoint. May lumabas ng catsup ngunit naparami. We both laughed because of it.

"Isoli mo na lang," I suggested.

"Baliw, sige, ikaw," hamon sa akin ni Jezrel at imabot pa ang bote.

I kept on chuckling as I suggested, "Hati na lang tayo sa catsup."

"Hija, kayo na ba?" we stopped smiling when Mrs. Olivia asked me.

"Po?" I quickly took a glance at Jezrel, "hindi pa po... manliligaw ko pa lang."

"Oh! Okay," she nodded, "it's understandable naman since you're now teens. Kahit ako kay nas-stress sa mga babae ni Trojan—"

"Mom," banta ni Trojan tila ba sawang sawa na sa topic na ito.

"Totoo naman," his mother argued, "I can't move on from the trouble with your last girl before Faith!"

"Tapos na 'yon, ma," Trojan even had the audacity to chuckle.

"Ano bang tipo ni Mikael, ma'am?" pabirong tanong ng aking ina.

"Nako! Chubby girls!" she announced, "Trojan likes someone white, proper and shy. Mahinhin sa una pero kapag nagtagal ay nagbabago, ano?" she mocked.

"I seriously have no idea," Trojan commented.

"I'm telling you, Trojan's girls are really something," she added.

"Petite isn't just my taste, that's all," he stated.

Okay, why was I offended? First of all, I knew to myself that I had beauty and brain as weapons but hearing it from Trojan, that my kind wasn't his type... felt something else. It seemed like for the first time, I wished to be someone close to his type.

Pathetic, Mikasha! The hell, I won't go to that stage of being an idiot!

The foods never tasted this bitter as I continued chewing.

Kailan ba last renovation nito?" tanong ni Mrs. Zorron.

"Hay nako, ma'am, last five years pa yata? May balak nga ho akong ipa-renovate ito muli kaso hindi naman ako makahanap ng architect na p'wedeng magdisenyo," sagot ni mama.

"Ganoon? Mikael, 'nak, architect ang kuya ni Brinoson, 'di ba?" tanong ni Mrs. Zorron kay Trojan.

"Yes," he answered shortly.

"Then perfect! Sasabihin ko sa kanyang siya na lang ang magdisenyo. Magaling iyon kahit kag-graduate lang last two years," ani ma'am Olivia.

"Nako, ma'am, sige. Baka naman mahal?" biro ni mama, "lalo na ngayon at dodoble ang kayod ko... baka pumasa na si Mikasha sa Syru," my mother added.

Mrs. Olivia's eyelashes danced in shock and happiness as she heard the possible news. She dramatically waved her hand to show sincerity.

"Wow! Welcome sa Syru, Mikasha! I'm sure you'll enjoy it there if ever!" she cheered me.

"Salamat po. Sana nga po... baka manibago ako sa mga tao," I randomly said.

"Doon din nag-aaral itong si Trojan! He can guide you on your first day," she even held Trojan's left shoulder.

I wanted so bad to smile, as if that statement was enough to erase the negative thoughts inside me.

Huwag, Mikasha! You should not look happy or excited about it. Act like a fucking queen and deny!

"A-Ah, nakakahiya naman po," I stuttered.

"Nako, ayos lang 'yan! Right, Trojan?" she asked.

"I'm fine with it," Trojan immediately answered.

What? Was he being serious?

It wasn't like I care about her but... I didn't want to start any trouble or fights in Syru on my very first day.

As Mrs. Olivia said earlier, his girls were something.

"Oh, see! Tsaka malay pa nga ninyo may mabuong chemistry sa inyong dalawa—"

"Ma," banta muli ni Trojan.

I awkwardly glanced at Jezrel who was now silent finishing his plate.

"Bukas ang swimming ng section, 'di ba?" I asked him to lighten up the mood, "kausap ko kasi si Ji kahapon, sabi niya, punta ako sa kanila ngayon para tulungan siyang makapili ng susuotin."

"Oo, bukas na..." tipid niyang sagot.

"Gusto ko sanang sumama kaso... p'wede pa ba?" tanong ko muli.

"Oo naman, madali lang magpa-register. Pupunta kami mamaya sa resort kaya sige, kukunan kita," he told me.

"Yehey! Need ko rin kasi ng distraction from the exam, ang sakit sa ulo until now," I joked.

"Ma, after breakfast pupunta ako kina Ji," I informed her, "tutulungan ko lang mamili ng damit for the swimming bukas... saka sasama na pala ako," I informed my mother.

"Sure, no problem. Deserve ninyong magsaya after the long stressful year," my mother said, "sabay na kayo ni Jezrel aalis?"

"Opo pero kina Steve lang si Jezrel," I answered, "sa kabilang phase lang."

"Mikasha, puwede kang ihatid ng driver namin," Mrs. Olivia presented, "para hindi ka na mamasahe pa."

That was actually a good idea but I didn't know how to accept it. I ended up trailing off, "Sure po..."

"Good! Trojan will come with you," pahabol niya.

Jusko!

When the uncomfortable breakfast ended, everyone went on their own agendas. I came inside my room to change clothes again, just to look more presentable and pleasing to the eye.

It took me almost ten minutes deciding which to use. I ended up wearing a sexy pastel pink casual dress which was above my knees.

Trojan was sitting on the couch as I opened my room's door.

"Tara na ba?" he asked me.

"Oo, si Jezrel?" I wasn't sure if it was right asking him this.

"Nauna na," he simply responded and walked first toward the gate.

I got stunned when it was him who opened the van's door for me but thankfully, I immediately recovered from the sudden movement.

Going inside of their black van was like a mini version of a house. It had comfortable couches and even a rectangular table placed in the center. It wasn't suffocating, instead, it relaxed me a bit.

I sat on the couch while he occupied the other couch in front of me. We were facing each other and his way of sitting disturbed my eyes so much. His legs were spread apart and hell, it was so hard forcing my eyes not to go and check that middle part.

"Uh, thank you for coming with me nga pala... I mean, it wasn't necessary naman," I started a conversation.

This one should be easy for you, Mikasha.

"No problem," he simply commented.

"Baka kasi naabala kita or something... like napilitan ka lang—"

"Bakit naman ako mapipilitan?" masungit niyang tanong.

I shrugged and answered, "Just a thought... you seemed to be in a bad mood."

"I'm not... this is just me being normal," he pointed out.

"I see..." I trailed off, "paano kung malaman ng girlfriend mong may hinatid kang iba? Sabi pa naman ni tita, nakakatakot sila," I chuckled.

Trojan smirked at my statement, "Wala na akong girlfriend."

"Huh?" I asked, "iyong Faith kahapon—"

"We broke up," he carelessly stated.

"Why?" I chuckled, gano'n ba kabilis magkatotoo ng hiling ko?

"She got pissed off when I didn't try to defend us in front of your preach," he lazily drawled, "I didn't like any drama... so yeah."

"Hindi ka man lang nag-effort mangsuyo," I commented.

"For what anyway?" he chuckled, "ang dami pa niyang inungkat kaya nairita ako."

"Wow! That's how you let go of someone?" hindi ako makapaniwala!

I couldn't tell if I was happy because they broke up or mad because Trojan was obviously showing me his asshole side.

"It's no big deal," he said.

Oh my gosh? So my hunch was somehow correct, huh? That he wasn't serious of the girl.

"Plus your preach kind of knocked some senses in me... maybe the reason why most of my girls turn into something horrible after a break up is because they think I loved them," he spit out.

"Which I really don't..." he added, "I just like lifting their confidences up and you know, do some nasty."

I chuckled and even swayed my head once in amusement, "Here I thought you were a love sick fool."

"And so are you... I thought you don't consider this as love? Bakit ka nagpapaligaw?" he attacked.

I might answer him before this year ends," I pointed out.

"Really? Do you think you two will last?" he asked, as if challenging me.

"I don't expect too much when I'm in a relationship... just go on with the flow. Besides, we're teens, mister," I hissed.

"Bakit mo pa pinapatagal ang pangliligaw kung hindi naman pala kayo magtatagal as a couple?" he chuckled.

"It's none of your business, really," pagsusungit ko ngayon.

"You'll just break the boy's heart... it's so obvious! From this conversation, I can tell that you're the type who cannot really like someone that long," he stated.

Really? Then why did I still like you now?

"What's your problem with it, anyway?" pag-iiba ko ng topic.

I was about to receive a prideful answer when the van stopped in front of Jijinia's house.

"Is this your friend's house?" he asked me.

"Yes, bababa na ako," I told him.

He immediately walked toward the door and opened it up again for me. He even had the guts to walk me toward the gate.

If only I didn't know better, I'd assume Trojan liked me because of his moves.

"Should I stay and wait for you?" tanong niya sa akin.

"Hindi na, mamaya pa ako uuwi," I answered.

His eyebrows almost met at the center as he asked, "Anong oras?"

"Not sure... mga five?"

"Na sa inyo pa kami no'n, I'll fetch you," he stated.

Oh my gosh. Mikael Trojan Zorron also known as the one and only dakilang paasa.

I rolled my eyes when I noticed his lips forming a devilish smile again.

"Bahala ka nga, kaya ang daming umaasa sa 'yo, e," I irritatingly hissed.

"Asang asa ka na ba?" he teased.

I turned my head just enough to face him, "What? Asa ka," I mocked.

"Mika? Nandiyan ka na pala. Sinong kaaway mo?" I heard Jijinia's voice as she tried to open their gate.

"Umalis ka na!" I ordered Trojan and even pushed him inside the van.

Shit! I didn't want her to meet Trojan because first and foremost, that guy was a freaking Zorron.

"No one... just a guy who... volunteered to assist me here," I answered.

"Oh, is that so... para kasing seryoso ang away ninyo," she stated, "may problema ba? You look bothered as well."

"Huh? Wala naman!"

"I kind of saw the guy's face from the hole of our gate, e... he looked not nice toward you," she added.

"We're fine," I simply said.

Jijinia let me in yet her mood remained cold and unreadable. Her parents weren't around, thankfully, and we were free to eat whatever we wanted.

She seemed hesitant and nervous of something.

"Ikaw yata ang may problema," aking panimula.

"I'm just bothered by your conversation with the guy... para kasi kayong nag-aaway," she worriedly said.

"Ji—"

"Siya ba?" she asked.

"Ang alin?" tanong ko pabalik.

Her eyes were shaky as they met mine, "Ang fiance mo?" kanyang tuloy sa tanong.

Shit.
