Chara instantly knew this wasn't the normal Mettaton but Mettaton's Neo form. Chara didn't know why or how she knew this but she had to keep going so she tried sneaking back Mettaton and avoiding battle.

But much to her dismay Mettaton noticed her and transformed into its Neo form and readied his assault. Mettaton fires her main cannon at Chara but this time Chara was ready and dodged it with a pose like frisk has done.

During this battle, Mettaton's opponent had to pose and dodge just to survive his onslaught of attack.

Well, Chara wasn't as good Frisk when it comes to dodging and making a pose so in that place she got hit multiple times. She was bleeding on her arms and face but was determined to go back to the beginning, and had a smile of forgiveness on her face.

She didn't want to attack Mettaton but she had no choice. Mettaton wasn't giving her an option to do so, and that arm cannon is too dangerous right now, but it seems like it's charging up for a full blast.

She took her stick and attacked Mettaton once and felt horrible about it, but she had to pass this area or wait until the elevator reaches the ground.

She had a crazy idea that just might work if she was Frisk and had his luck. Well, here is no harm in trying right? Well there was is a lot at stake but who cares right this will be resetted.

Chara manage to dodge and pose until the time was just right or when the elevator reached ground Zero.

She leaped onto Mettaton and aimed her blast exactly one hundred and eighty degrees from the exit and  hit the button that automatically uses the blast at maximum power.

Her plan worked for the most part well until Mettaton realized what was going on. Chara was getting a free trip across Hotland with Mettaton's gun but the blast took too much energy and it fell short right at the entrance of Alphys' Lab.

Chara felt bad that she did that to Mettaton so she knocked on the door to Alphys and hid to see what Alphys did with Mettaton. She wanted to help but she also didn't want any senseless violence either.

 Alphys saw Mettaton almost completely drained and became very worried, but before she did anything she looked around to see if anyone saw what happened. When no one was there she decided that she him inside. Which wasn't easy due to Mettaton being in his Neo form.

When Chara was satisfied with her observations she ran to waterfall, but took a wrong turn and went to Sans' station and so she went there left money for some hot dogs and took some for the road and then found the right path. 

She hoped that nothing bad will happen to her and just after that thought popped into her head a  teal spear flew right past her head.
