Frisk POV

I feel myself floating in nothing. I feel nothing and hear nothing. I'm not falling and yet I'm not rising. It like I was the world was collapsing in on itself. It was like the word was erasing itself.

As I open my eye I see Gaster and then he looks away? Oh yeah, I was going to bring back Chara. I smile as the thought appears inside of my head my determination skyrockets. I try to move but my body feels like lead. I look around and see that Sans and Alphys are looking at something. I use my determination to sit up. I groan unintentionally as I feel pain on the back of my head. I look around and I see that I am in a machine?

I rub my head as I feel a slight pain arise in my temple and the back of my head. Then I notice tubes all over my body. I tap on the glass to get their attention. Sans look my way and smile goes to me and says.

"Hey, Frisk so you are finally awake. You have been asleep for three days straight and yet you seem perfectly fine." Sans said but I couldn't hear him but I could read his body language and mouth sorta.

Alphys looked my way and smiled. Finally, things were finally looking up. As fate would have it Gaster was the first person I saw but the last person to notice that I was awake. I find that ironic slightly. I smile to myself right before I feel horrible and intense pain all erupting over my body. it was horrible and intense. 

I clench my fists and grit my teeth and I hold back screaming out in pain. I look up and see the void and then I see Chara and she was just floating around. My Determination skyrockets as I see her just floating there and then I see the determination being molded as a hook while it hooks Chara.

Chara screams out in pain as the determination hook embeds itself on her. It begins to pull her slowly out of the void. Everything was going fine until the determination manipulators began to overload and one of them exploded. The anchor for Chara was losing and was about to detached but I couldn't let that happen. I kept pouring my Determination into the machine regardless of the pain I felt.

My determination engulfed Chara and was bringing her down to the exit of the void. As it did this Chara stops screaming and sigh a conflicted relieved sigh. Was she really alright or did she just pass out due to the pain? Things were trying to exit the void, but Gaster held them at bay with Gaster blasters and several bones. Sans was helping as well but also helping Alphys when things got slow which was rare so it was mainly Alphys with Frisk's life in her hands just like Chara. This time she was ready and determined to make sure Frisk lives through this whole ordeal.

The void was shaking and beginning to collapse. Apparently, it didn't like the fact that Chara was leaving the void for the second time. If this succeeds it could alter the timeline but right now I don't care. I need to Chara back in my life and I will get her back no matter what. 

I continued to give my determination to the machine in hopes that things would go alright. The pain went right out the window. Apparently, it must have been too much because another adapter out of the four exploded. But by now Chara was almost half way out. It seems despite the troubles things are going fine until Gaster collapsed from exhaustion and Sans had to take over completely. 

That was until Undyne burst through the door and just let spears soar. I was scared for Chara's life but not one spear hit her. Undyne was really angry at the things that were coming out of the void and just sent a horde of spears straight towards then black things trying to leave the void. There was so much going on I didn't notice that Papyrus was there as well, probably backing Undyne up while Sans helps Alphys with keeping things stable and Gaster with recovery.

Then suddenly out of nowhere the entire machine explodes with me inside and I go flying towards Alphys, but not once did I take my eyes off the prize, and somehow despite the impossibilities, Chara was back in the world and now the world has to Change to compensate for it and then I manage to twirl  in the air and land on my feet still staring at Chara. Then again suddenly Asriel who was originally was Flowey fell from the ceiling and fell on his back and his head but mostly his back. He sat up and rubbed his head and then looks toward Chara who was currently being shielded by Undyne and Papyrus due to her not having any clothes.

"So it's true Chara is back. I can believe it." Asriel says with tears of happiness in his eyes.

Undyne runs straight towards Alphys with a worried expression. She gets to Alphys in time but can seem to find the words to say.

"Alphys I don't think she is breathing or at the very least not breathing well enough," Undyne says quietly as Alphys covers Chara's body with some clothing.

Alphys went to check Chara's breathing when suddenly Chara jerks up and accidentally hit her head against Alphys' head. Alphys reels back in minor pain while Chara just sits there looking around completely terrified right now but she seems to be staring at me.

I smile at her and begin to move forward. Chara is instantly up and moving back away from me. I gain a confused look and take one more step. She jumps back on a table in a defensive manner, but she seems to be enraptured by me and doesn't take her eyes off of me.

"Who are you and why am I here?" Chara says looking around completely terrified and scared of everything.

"Chara don't you remember me? It's me, Frisk." I say to her and she clutches her head for a moment in pain but shakes her head.

"Why do you seem so familiar? What did you do to me in this fake hospital?" Chara says with Venom and hatred.

"Wait this isn't a hospital at all," Alphys said a little fearful to Chara, but Chara is still oblivious of her.

I was devasted. Chara has seemed to lose all of her memory from the Underground but somehow remembers all her time on the surface. What has happened to the Chara I fell in love with? I fall to my knees in despair not knowing what to do and then tears begin to fall. Then I feel a gentle hand pat my hair softly. Like unsure if they should be doing this. I look up and to my surprise it's Chara. Chara looks down with a faint blush on her face.

"Were you serious about knowing me? If so I'm sorry for forgetting you. You seem like one of the actual nice humans. That is about as rare as a blue moon." Chara says as she looks around and then notices everyone else.

She slowly begins to back away and realizes who all is here and then here eyes begin to fill with fear. This fear makes her want to run away. Then Asriel steps forward.

"Hey, Chara don't you remember your best friend?" Asriel says with his arms open wide.

Chara grasped her head in pain and fear and then her eyes begin to flicker from red to brown. Chara screamed at Asriel and then ran away in fear. I didn't think my body just moved on its own. I ran straight after Chara as she ran towards the waterfall. I continued to follow her as she finds the bench in Waterfall and sits on it in the fetal position.

I sigh as to see that she has stopped and then examine my surroundings. I smile to myself as I sit next to her and scoots away from me like I'm some terrible disease. I look at her and seems so much fragile and scared than before. What has happened to you Chara to change you so much? Then she suddenly speaks to me.

"Why? Why did you follow me? I don't know the person you are looking for. You should know that. I'm completely worthless so why in the world are you so determined to follow me. I don't remember you and I don't know you so why the hell does your presence feel so familiar. Also what's is this feeling that I get whenever I am near you? It's like my heart begins to beat out of my chest and my heart begins to skip beats and my brains flips and flips while my stomach feels like there are millions of butterflies in it? Why do I have this feeling when I am around you?" She asks looking at me and after each sentence getting closer and closer towards me until she finished and by then she's practically on top of me.

I begin to blush as that same feeling fills me. She looks directly at me eyes filled with wonder and curiosity. It is like her mind has reverted back to a toddler, but then I remember a line from Asriel she lived a sheltered but awful life. She was apparently beaten and bruised and now that I think about it. She would have never have known what love is so I can't tell what age she is.

"I'll tell you the answer but first you must answer my question first alright?" I say to her wanting to know the age of her mind has been set back to.

Chara thought about the question like a toddler would but then smiled as she came to a conclusion. She looks directly at me with those brown crimson eyes. Then she began to speak to me.

"Fine I'll tell you but if you don't answer have to do something for me alright and no buts. Deal?" She says as she holds her hand out for me to shake like she knows the feeling of being lied to and being betrayed.

"Fine, I agree to the deal," I say as I shake her soft yet warm hand. 

"Now what is your age?" I ask wanting to know the age right before Chara fell.

"Well based on how time works for you humans. I would be around 16." Then she looks at her body and in genuine surprise.

Her body was still the same as usual but then the world recognized this and adapted her body to her sudden change in the mental state. 

Author's POV.

This time the void made sure there were no mistakes other than Chara and Asriel both being alive and Asriel's memory and Chara's lack of memory and everyone's memory of this timeline and also Frisk's of everything and all of the timelines.

The timeline itself was having trouble staying stable but as Chara said her age the timeline stabilizes and reforms.

"Now tell me what is this feeling that I get whenever I am near you?" Chara asked curiosity completely peeked.

Frisk smiles and looks to her with honest eyes. He was happy to say it but it still made him happy! He stood up and went to her and looked directly at her.

"Well to put it simply it's something we call love," Frisk says with a smile and an alluring face.

At first, Chara was confused and then they thought about it again. Chara shook her head and look directly at Frisk with confused eyes. Then Chara remembered something from her surface life and looked at Frisk accusingly.

"This so-called love is nothing more than a pathetic lie that people will use to try and cover up their mistakes and the horrible things that they did do their daughter. You are lying to me. Love has done nothing good for anybody, so why the hell am I feeling that worthless feeling that is no good?" Chara says with an angry look.

"You are saying that I love you? How insulting can you be? I would never use that as an excuse to hurt you and beat you and then try to do dirty things with you. You are deplorable." Chara looks at Frisk with distaste and leaves him to his own devices.

At first, Frisk was confused and then a memory suddenly surfaced and he got a headache along with it as well. It was a small but vivid memory. It was of Chara's of a piece of her path. She never knew what love was but she knew LOVE and it what it meant and how you acted sometimes due to her parents consumed by their own LOVE. Chara hated them and eventually killed them and left and somehow managed to fall into MT. Ebbott. 

Frisk tried to run after her but the memories of all the timelines began to wash over him and he collapsed on the ground holding his head. He managed to stand up by using the wall as support, but he lost his grip and pass out. The first to find him was not Sans but Undyne. She saw him clenching his head and trying to move forward. Undyne stopped him but he sill kept trying to move forward. Undyne finally sighed in frustration and moved forward with Frisk on her back piggyback style. She ran and jumped over gaps like it was nothing. She ran into just to see Chara dodging all of Sans attacks with difficulty and she seems to have headaches as well.

Chara spared a look towards Frisk and immediately regretted it. She was hit with a Gaster blaster point blank range. Undyne was angry with Sans. They just got back Chara and Sans was trying to kill her already. Undyne sighed in frustration and moved behind Sans and knocked him out and called Papyrus to pick him up. While Frisk managed to make his way over to the unconscious Chara who had burn marks all over her body and bones cuts as well. Also, a bone handprint bruise on her thigh.

Frisk saw that and became angry but the anger didn't help with the constant headaches but it seems to lesson when near Chara. He couldn't handle it and pass out right in front of Chara who just so happened to awake when Frisk passes out. She looked around and then remembered what that skeleton did to her. She shivered and then say that same human who used the LOVE so lightly. She knew what he meant by his words but she didn't believe it whatsoever but alas she couldn't just leave him here so she just picked him up which was quite difficult. She carried him to the Inn and paid the money up front and enter the same room. Her mind began to hurt intensely.  She knew this room but at the same time, she was sure she had never been here before. Then how in the world did she know exactly where to go to get to the inn?

Her head was hurting so much that she decided to just relax or at least try to on the bed. Then a memory appeared in her mind. It was them having an intimate session. Chara blushed profusely and then exhaustion took her. She relieved at her memories but every single one of them was foggy well except for the intimate session with that human named Frisk. Then silence took over that room.
