As they walked together in Waterfall they overhear Papyrus talking to Undyne. Frisk was interested if they said anything at all but Chara knew all their dialogues. She knew what would happen neck but she just didn't want to deal with Undyne. Then they both looked up at Papyrus.

After Papyrus and Undyne finished talking. Frisk tripped and fell on top of Chara alerting of them. Chara made sure Frisk didn't move until she hears the appropriate sounds that told her that Undyne was leaving.

She sighed and forced Frisk off who was slightly blushing she dusted herself off and come out of the brush. As she did she notice something else as well that caught her interest. It was Monster kid and he looked like grown or at least more mature in body, but what about his mind?

A Monster kid looked at Frisk and said his normal dialogue about Undyne and then his started at Chara with something new in his eyes. Something that wasn't in the normal timeline. Perhaps love in his eyes Chara speculated but no comment on it.

He blushed and ran off and fell like old times. I smiled because I knew he was okay but Frisk had to hold in a chuckle, as Monster kid ran off. Then a thought came into Frisk mind that made him frown and Chara saw. 

"What's wrong Frisk you seemed upset about something. Was it monster kid." She said with a chuckle of her own as Frisk blushed due to the embarrassment.

She smiled and grabbed Frisk hand, and pulled him to the next room. "Alright Frisk solve this puzzle and I'll solve the next." She offered and Frisk agreed with it.

Frisk finished the puzzle with ease once he knew what to do Chara sighed and waited and when he was done she got up and moved forwards where she unlocked a special area in the bottom right-hand corner or left-hand corner. Where the opposite side of the sign. There was a quiche but She didn't let Frisk see when she picked it up.

She solved it for real and saw the echo flowers and remembered what they said. Emotions flew through her as she remembered everything. It was a little hard to differentiate them since they all the same. She also remembered the telescope and everything a sea of memories was flooding her mind and she could nothing to stop nor did she want to. She wanted them back well at least most of them anyway.

She slowly walked through it all, while Frisk explored and reading everything his eyes could make out. She saw him and it reminded her of Asriel. She shook the thought away. She had to stay focused.

She saw the hieroglyphs and remembered which each one of them said but Frisk didn't and so he read them. She watched him and wait for him to finish up full knowing that he would get curious over these things yet he has already read them.

He skin begin to crawl as the memory of what happens next appears in her mind. She almost freezes up but she saw Frisk and manage to calm down and smile a brave but small smile. Not quite ready for what happens next but who really is when it comes to danger.

She calms herself and waits for Frisk finish when she realizes that Frisk is waiting on her. She apologizes and gets on the platform with her. But she had to be very close to one another for it to work due to it only being for one person.

They both got to the other side safely and Frisk was happy about that but Chara knew better than to be happy about even if her body said otherwise. She was scared about this part. The spears hurt so much when she threw them. 

"Let's go Frisk and be careful about what happens next." She says before walking to the next area.

Frisk nods and follows her and little frighten from Chara's mood. Then suddenly Undyne appears and begins to throw spears, but then Frisk realizes that Chara is already way ahead of Frisk and he is a prime target for the spears and Undyne takes that advantage and throw a volley of spears his way.

He manages to dodge most of them but a few of them hit him in the arm and the leg but he doesn't feel the pain instead he hears Chara collapse from the sudden pain. Frisk is shocked by Chara's sudden cry and gets hit by more spears and without knowing it he causes her more pain.

"Frisk stop standing there like an idiot and get moving." She yells at Frisk still in shock.

He snaps out of it and runs for her and picks her up and carries her through the little maze as Chara tells him the directions all the while Chara is blushing slightly but her face already has a natural blush so Frisk can't see it right now. After they both set foot on the ground he puts her down due to Chara's nagging of him to put her down.

Then they both run into some tall grass and hid there. Chara was still afraid to even though she knew the outcome. Fear was a natural thing to happen when danger in near but it's always a choice right? Or maybe it's something we do when we do or don't know what will happen next but it still remains. 

Undyne goes straight up to them and raises her hand and grabs Monster Kid near inches from Chara face and sent Chara's heart beat into a frenzy but not as fast as it could go but still quite fast with adrenaline coursing through her. Undyne sees who she has grabbed puts them down and walks away obviously kicking herself for grabbing the wrong person.

When she left Chara sighed and Frisk let out a shaky breath. They both left the tall grass and monster kid as well.

"Wow she touched my face I'm never watching my face again. You are so unlucky just a few inches to the left and she would have had you." He says innocently.

Then he stares at Chara with passion still growing in his eyes as looks at her his heart begins to race. Chara notices this and looks at to the distance to avoid his loving gaze. Not wanting to hurt his feelings but at the same time not wanting to get attached to anyone or anyone to get attached.

"So Chara what did you think of Undyne?" he asks her.

Chara was slightly surprised by this new dialogue but smiled and answered. "I look up to Undyne and maybe one day I might be just like her." She said with a smile as Monster kid eyes begin to sparkle, and he walks away with a happy heart.

Frisk smirked at Chara and she looks at him "What?" she asks. "Oh, nothing just watching you be quite nice to someone else than me."

Chara just shakes her head and moves forward and Frisk follows to the next area where the saving star is. Chara knew it and yet she couldn't see it. Now only Frisk can. Chara sighed as she feels her pain gone as Frisk uses the star but misses the feeling of using the saving star herself.

She waited for Frisk to stop exploring and to move forward with him. Her heart was yearning for him but she knew better than to let her emotions get the best of her the last time she did that she died and turned her brother into a flower.

They both see Sans and she let Frisk talk to him. Trying hard to not let her laughter get the best of her already knowing what will happen. Sans says his dialogue and then Frisk falls for it and gets some red ink on his eyelid and when goes back to Sans he says he'll give him a full refund. 

Chara starts laughing at Frisk as he comes to her asking why? She kept laughing and finally told her. "That your eye is red not your actual eye but your eyelid," she said finally stopped laughing.  She began to follow frisk as he explored this area. and found the Nice cream guy.

He says his normal dialogue and frisk buys three of them and gets one of them free. He smiles and hands one to Chara which she gladly takes but some it gets on her shirt as she eats in. She notices Frisk is staring at her and she thought of a clever way to get some payback.

Chara smirks and began to eat her nice cream in a provocative way just to tease Frisk. When she finished her nice cream Frisk was blushing badly and having a tough time getting himself under control. Chara laughed at Frisk and how he reacted and smiled at him.

She began to walk and then suddenly remember what the echo flowers say. She sighed and smiled at the memory but at the same time is frowning as well. He feeling that she kept hidden were slowly coming to the surface.

She let Frisk listen to them all. It says the same thing but in different voices. It calms Chara down also Frisk found some ballerina slippers and makes him feel dangerous? Chara was still confused how did that but still if it make Frisk smile then so be it.

Frisk listen the rest of the conversation and Chara smiled at the word. Then the come to next room and Chara eyes widen as she realizes what Frisk might do but he wouldn't remember that right?

Well, Chara soon sees the statue and she smiles softly as her eyes glisten but she holds back her emotions and feelings. Frisk continues forward and finds an umbrella and then he thinks about the statue. He runs back with Chara right behind him. Chara holds that the song won't play that after all this time the music box is broken or withered away.

But much to her dismay when frisk places the umbrella down in its spot the song begins to the play. The only song that truly lets her emotions surface.

Chara begins to cry tears of happiness, sadness, joy, anger, and most of all memory. She hates that she knows all this stuff she hated that her plan failed. She hates that human killed her only brother. Her tears are first clear and then slowly turn to black as fate would have it. She is not entirely human.

Frisk is oblivious to this and leaves emotionally unstable Chara to go back to that room where a piano was and plays the chorus of the song he heard. The door opens up and he sees a legendary artifact he tries to pick it up but can't because he has to many dogs? He uses on of the dogs to get the item but the annoying dog absorbs the legendary artifact and leaves.

Frisk laughs at what happened and looks around to find that Chara is near him. He panics and frantically searches for her only to find her at the statue. Crying her eyes out as she listens to the song and regrets all the things she did to her family and to her brother asriel.

Frisk goes to her and tries to comfort her. But his actions are futile she just keeps crying at the sound of this song. He doesn't understand why she is like this maybe it's the music box? Frisk goes to it and listens to the song and for some strange odd reason he begin to tear up to as he remembers all of his memories like they were yesterday even the ones that were once a distant in his mind. He remembers everything except for two of the routes. While Chara goes through everything. From the first route to the very last route she did.

She was traumatized from the sudden surge of memory some she didn't want but had to go through while others were nice and wouldn't mind going through them once again. She had gone through her entire life in a span of thirty seconds. It was too much for her and she cried and cried until she couldn't cry anymore and fell asleep due to exhaustion.Frisk sighed and picked her up and went back to Sans.

"Sans can do me a favor and and bring us back to snowdin and when  Chara recovers can you bring us back here. I don't my feet couldn't handle it if I had to walk all the way back here?"

Sans nodded. "Follow me I know a shortcut." he says as they appear into snowdin. Frisk stomach churns as the teleport but Chara remains asleep.

"Dang it I was sure that would wake her up but I guess we really have to wait for her to recover." Frisk sighed.

(Time skip)

It's been two days since the incident and Chara hasn't woken up and Frisk and papyrus is worried sick. Sans it carrying for her when Frisk fall asleep. She is slowly getting better but she hasn't woken up quite yet or at least she isn't awake when Frisk is awake.

Another day has passed and Chara is finally awake. She looks around in search of Frisk. She can't find him she gets up and collapses her legs are little weak right now but she refuses to wait here any longer and moves forward and finds Frisk worried sick about her talking Sans.

"Sans what would I do if she never wakes up?" Frisk asks Sans.

Sans sees Chara and smiles.

"Welp I guess you wouldn't have the determination to frisk yourself anymore then." Sans said.

"Sans stop joking I'm serious what would I do without her?" Frisk said sadness in his eyes.

Sans sighed. "Well how about your turn around and ask her yourself." He says as he walks away.

Frisk turns around and sees Chara smiling at him, an without thinking he tackles her with a hug. "I was so worried about it. I though you wouldn't ever come back to me." frisk says to her with tears in his eyes.

Chara doesn't say anything, but simple kiss on Frisk lips. "I have wanted to do that for the longest of times." She says this and pulls Frisk into an embrace. "Sans I'm ready to go back to waterfall if that was cool with you?" She says as if she was a different person.

"What happened to you Chara you seemed Different." Frisk asked slightly worried.

Chara ponders the question for a moment. "I simply had a good cry. Did you know that a good cry can help people with lots of problems." She says as Sans comes in and takes them to waterfall. "Thank you Sans." She says with a smile and Sans is surprised and shocked.

They go back to the statue and Chara sighs. and moves forward Grabbing an umbrella for the journey. Frisk follows her unable to grab a umbrella himself since he wants to be close to her. As they leave they see Monster kid and he blushes and runs next to Chara after seeing his dialogue.

Unlike the original MK stay particularly close to Chara as does Frisk. They pass through the rain and the both fight to stay close to Chara as she looks forward with renewed confidence and determination.

Both were enraptured by the way Chara now carried herself now. They saw the castle and she frowned her emotions were clear to see but on the other hand they were still difficult to notice if you didn't know her.

"This clif it too steep climb on my should and don't worry about me I always find a way." He says as he lets Chara and frisk climb his shoulders and then runs off but not before falling on his face and picking himself back up and then walking again.

The both move forward and Frisk finds more glyphs then a savingstar as well. Then Chara remember what happens after this. "Frisk be prepared for spears."

Frisk nodded not sure how but nodded and then Undyne appears and Frisk is this time prepared and it ready for it. 

He follows Chara who knew the most of the route and made some wrong turn making the spear come up faster making Chara receive more pain but nothing slowed her down she jut kept moving forward. Somehow they made it to a dead end and turned back to see Undyne standing there and then she breaks the bridge. Making them both fall down and Frisk pulls Chara into an embrace as they fall.
