Cassandra's POV

War had broken out and millions of men signed up to fight, and so did women but then again women are viewed as weak sex, I didn't care, I signed up anyway, waiting to help people. so did John, my annoying twin brother and his best friend Buck or Gale/ Buck. 

John was the loud one, and Buck was more quiet and respectful, which was very nice. I knew Gale was going to be shipped out and so was I. I was waiting for a friend who was going to be shipping out too and she didn't have hearty eyes for my brother. she was married and happy. 

A lot of the women I trained with, found out that I had a brother and as normal, people started asking questions about him like is he married, does he had a girlfriend, and all that stuff. Which annoyed me, I never thought about marriage ever like yeah I want it and family, but I wasn't looking for soldiers as husbands. 

I saw Mina walking down and got in the car and we drove off and made it to the cafe and got out and walked in, I saw Gale and my brother there and Buck smiled and got up and I walked right towards him and greeted him. My brother said, "Oh no hi to your twin". 

I groaned and sat down and said "Hello Johnny". 

He flashed me, his smile and I smiled back. I said, " John this is Mina". John got up to go talk to me while I sat down and sat next to Gale. I had always been good friends with Gale. He was always respectful of me and we got along great. 

Soon Mina and John came back with drinks and we started chatting. Mina asks " So why do you guys have the same names". 

I laughed and said " John is Bucky and Gale is Buck", 

She just looked at me and Gale said "Long story". 

John started telling the story. I just listened and I just looked to see Gale looking at me and said "What"? 

Gale said, "You look amazing". I blushed and said, "Thank you, remember you got me this dress". 

It was true, Gale got me a dress, which was a green dress with a brown belt. He had great taste. I said, "Let's put on some music".

John said "Great idea Cassie ". Mina and I got up and put on music. Mina said, "You know Gale is looking at you". 

I smiled and said, "We are friends". 

Mina said, "Yeah right, Cass we all know you and Gale like each other". 

I turned and said, "I don't want to ruin anything". 

Mina said, "Your feelings matter, and I don't think your brother would care Cass". 

I nodded and said, "Let's go back them". 

we got back to the boys and John said "Oh I love these songs". 

I leaned on Gale and said, "Please don't sing". 

Gale tried to hold in his laugh and my brother said" Hey, I am a great singer". 

I took my drink and said, "Sure you are more like a loud bug that never shuts up". 

John said, "I am wounded sister". 

I smirked and said, "You will get over". 

A few men come to the table talking to John and Gale and Mina and I talk about how many things we need to bring us soon dark fell and John said " I will take Mina home, think you can take Buck home". 

I laughed and said, "Sure also don't sing". 

John yelled back, I will try not to". 

Gale came next to me and said " he is going sing anyway". 

I smirked and said, "Yeah I know". 

We drove to Gale's place and Gale said "Thank you". 

I smiled and said, "Of course, see you soon". 

Buck smiled and said, "See you soon". 

I drove off back to the apartment that John and I shared, and I got in and fell asleep to my brother snoring away in the other room. 

I am ready for whatever something throws at me, well at least I thought I knew.
