Bad Memory

"Why exactly do I have to come along?" you questioned your father as the car turned a corner.

"Just in case you have to put your signature on anything," he replied not taking his eyes off the road.

Your father suddenly piped up at the dinner table last night that you had to go back to your old school. Almost dropping your chopsticks into your food, all the color washed out of your face.

"Well it seems that there has been some miscommunication between the schools, so we have to go back and pick up some more paperwork tomorrow," he said in a rather excited tone.

You obviously weren't excited one bit. Of course your "excitement" increased to the max as he dragged you along with him. Your mother simply shrugged and suggested you go along as well.

"Is this gonna take long?" you asked not looking at your father.

"Who knows? I have no idea how much paperwork they have," he sighed tightening his grip around the steering wheel.

You just hoped that he didn't get into one of those really long conversations with a past teacher. Really not wanting to risk running into someone from your past, you just wanted to get out of there as soon as possible. At least you felt yourself dozing off to sleep, so you could at least try to take your mind off of your worries.

Not knowing how long you slept, you were awoken by your father tapping on your shoulder.

"Ugh, I know," you grumbled unbuckling your seatbelt lazily.

This place was worse than Hell in your own opinion. It literally oozed with the problems of your past.

"Nekoma High School," you read the sign and literally cringed at it.

"Don't just stand there, come on, you might run into some old friends!" your father stepped through the office doors.

Gritting your teeth in disgust, you sighed to yourself before finally making your way through the doors. Your father was immediately firing up several friendly conversations with the two teachers in the office. This was going to take forever. Well at least it was a Saturday and mostly everyone was at home, except the volleyball team.

Deciding the best action was to hide in the girls bathroom until it was time to leave, you picked up your pace down the hallway. More and more regret pounded into your self-esteem as you remembered your past. The dent you made in a locker from a previous fight during your first year was still there. Fight... No, you didn't want to remember those.

"I thought I put them in here somewhere," a familiar voice jolted your senses.

Slowly tilting your head at the sound of the voice, it was him. Messy bed-head black hair, really, really nice thighs, and oh god his ass. No doubt it was the jokester captain himself, Kuroo Tetsuro. The one person you never wanted to see in your lifetime happened to be, well, right there.

"Make a run for it," you inwardly told your legs, but they didn't budge.

"Hmm, guess I left them in the locker-room," he sighed rather sadly to himself as he shut the locker.

"Move dammit!" you practically shouted inside your head.

Too late, those sly pupils already made contact with yours. A few seconds of awkward silence passed before Kuroo finally had a grin tugging at his lips. That signature smirk was plastered on his face. The weird feeling was leaking inside your chest again.

"Didn't expect you to come back this soon, kitty-chan~" he teased you with your old nickname.

He effortlessly made his way up to your tensed form. Before you could react, he lifted up your hand with the ring. Lightly kissing the gem, his hot breath made your face instantly flush. Snapping your hand back to your side, you were really tempted to slap him right then and there.

"Hmm," he observed your ever growing angry expression, "did I forget to loosen my leash around you or~"

"Shut the hell up," shoving back all social awkwardness, your true self finally slipped out.

"I thought I tamed that panther inside you, but I guess not," he shrugged to himself.

"You can stop with the nicknames jackass, we aren't dating anymore," you gave him a death glare.

"Oh I have been hurt," he sarcastically whined holding the back of his hand against his forehead.

"What do you even want?" keeping your stern attitude, you stared straight into his eyes.

He didn't answer, but sighed in response and tucked a loose stand of hair behind your ear. You somehow managed to keep you anger under control since your dad was around the corner. His hand lingered around your jawline and gradually cupped around your reddened cheek.

"D-don't," you couldn't say anything mean back as he leaned towards your face.

"Just one," he smirked again before pecking his lips onto yours.

Why wasn't your body responding at all? He was intruding your personal space, but you didn't react. All you felt was the weird feeling in your chest growing larger. Somehow, the anger washed away only to be replaced by, desire. Before he could pull away, you wrapped your arm around the back of his neck.

"I-I missed you too," you whispered obviously embarrassed.

The desire took over your body as you slammed your lips against his. After a few sloppy kisses he pulled away letting an annoyed whine leave your mouth.

"If you really want to make it up," he began to sweetly whisper in your ear, "let's go find a place somewhere private!" he exclaimed in a goofy tone smiling more than smirking.

Letting your fingers ghost over your lips, the desire kicked into gear as you followed after him. You already knew you would regret this later, but that was your other self worrying.
