Sky'sPOV

You ever have that pleasurable feeling of pain in the morning after a night of doing something? Like a dull headache to remind you of the fun things you did while you were drunk last night or that slight sting you feel in your finger when a puppy nips you? Yeah, multiply that kind of pain by five and you have what I'm feeling in my ass now. And apparently Jason and Mitch are feeling the same thing this morning and are doing well to hide it. Looks like I wasn't the only one who got frisky with my partner last night if you know what I'm saying.

If you don't know where we all are right now, we're at the breakfast table enjoying the scrambled eggs and bacon Jerome and Mitch prepared for us. Well, Jerome is wolfing down his eggs faster than a video of a cheetah running played in fast motion, but I think he's enjoying them. I think.

"So Jason, how was your sleep?" I asked jokingly. He almost choked on his eggs and Tyler tried desperately to hide a blush. The rest of us burst out laughing while Jason and Tyler were glaring daggers at me. I didn't care. It was funny. Well, Jerome me and Ty were laughing. Mitch had gone to the toilet.

 Then there was the smell of smoke.

"Uh....guys? Why do I smell smoke?" Jerome glanced at me in confusion, then sniffed the air.

"Oh crap you're right. I smell it too"

"FIRE!!!!" We all heard Mitch's scream from the upstairs toilet and quickly jumped from our chairs. Jerome ran to the stairs in order to rescue Mitch.

"I'M COMING MITCH HOLD ON!" I ran after him. Ty followed and Jason and Tyler followed Ty. Why when everything is fine, life has to kick us up the hole and be a Douche Bag! There was a lot of smoke upstairs. That's not good.

"JEROME LOOK OUT!!!!" Ty screamed. A wooden beam fell from the ceiling and hit Jerome in the head. He was knocked out. Oh come on!

"Ty! Get Jason, Tyler and Jerome out of here! I'll get Mitch!" I screamed over the loud crackling sounds.

"But-"

"Go!" And with that, I ran to the bathroom. And stopped midway when I heard Tyler scream. The ceiling had caved in near the stairs. We were trapped. We were all going to die. Why? We were happy. We were living our lives the way we wanted to. Ty didn't have depression, I had a place to call home and friends I could trust with my life. We were....happy....

Accepting my fate, I fell to my knees on the floor. Tyler and Jason hugged and kissed each other, tears streaming down their cheeks. Mitch managed to get out of the bathroom, and now he was hugging Jerome's unconscious body, but there was no other way to escape. The windows were locked every night and the key was downstairs, plus they were bulletproof. We were all going to die, whether we liked it or not.

"Sky?" I heard Ty say sadly. He knew it too. I felt his arms wrap around me and we held each other in fear and sadness.

"I l-love you Ty" I choked out, coughing on the smoke.

"I love you too Sky. I'll see you soon" He replied, and fell limp in my arms. I cried into his lifeless shoulder. At least he didn't burn to death...

"I love you Jason!" I heard Tyler say through tears.

"I love you too Tyler" Jason replied. They both collapsed into each other and fell to the ground, dead. I cried even more when Mitch fell to the ground hugging Jerome. My friends were all dead, and I was the last to go. I took my amulet out from underneath my shirt and stared into its purple jewel. The Dahlberg Jewel, as most saw it. An amulet passed down from generation to generation. The reason I never had it out was it reminded me too much of my adopted father, who took it from me when I was four and only gave it back when the abandoned me. I gasped at my sudden realization. Nobody had wanted me in the first place...my birth parents didn't want me, and neither did my adopted parents. They only person who seemed to care was...Ty...AND NOW HE'S DEAD! BECAUSE OF A STUPID FIRE! Well, I'll see him soon anyway. The flames are starting to burn my sides now. And now I'm losing consciousness. Goodbye, cruel world. I won't miss you.
