Flashback, nine years ago.

Barbara was out on patrol as Batgirl in Gotham when she saw Supergirl on a rooftop, by her lonesome. The Kryptonian looked sad. Batgirl got out her grappling hook and used it to get to the rooftop where Kara was. Batgirl noticed Kara had tears in her eyes. "Kara? Are you okay?" Barbara asked as she took off her cowl and sat next to her friend. Kara looked at Barbara and said, "I... No, I'm not okay..." She looked down sadly, sniffling. "What's wrong Kara?" Barbara asked, "are you having relationship problems?" Kara shook her head and said, "no, things are fine between me and my boyfriend, it's just that... Today's the anniversary of the day Krypton died." Barbara's eyes widened in surprise. Then she said, "oh... Kara, I'm so sorry... Do you need someone to comfort you?" Kara tearfully nodded and replied, "that would be nice..." Barbara hugged Kara as the Kryptonian cried, "I miss my family so much, Barbara..." Barbara rocked Kara back and forth and softly said, "it's okay Kara, I'm here now... I got you..."

The Current Present, 1999

As Robin, Kevin, and Dinah went to the store to buy some ice cream, Kara soon landed on the roof of the Titans Tower in Jump City. She was a girl on a mission and her mission was to drag Dick's cheating ass out of the Tower. Dick went outside to see what the noise was on top of the Titans Tower. He was surprised to see Supergirl and asked, "Kara?" The Kryptonian still held the serious expression. "The one and only." Kara responded before adding on, "we need to talk in private." She crossed her arms, basically demanding. "Okay, come inside," said Dick. Suddenly, the former Boy Wonder put two and two together and asked, "wait a minute, did that stupid toon snitch to you and Kevin?"

"What do you think, Richard?" Kara responded harshly- something unusual from her kind tone, "so I suggest you hang on tight until we get to the Clocktower, and be glad that it's me and not Kevin or Tyler." She roughly took his wrist, almost breaking it. Almost. Dick yelped, then he rolled his eyes and said, "I should be so lucky. I could easily kick your boyfriend's ass though. He may be good, but he's an amateur compared to me."

"And Tyler can kick yours as well. Like I said, be glad that Tyler isn't here," said Kara. That's when she flew super fast while keeping Dick's wrist in her grasp. This caused Dick to scream like a little girl. The Kryptonian flew so fast that it caused Dick to get sick. Kara soon landed inside the Clocktower and shoved him roughly into the ground. "So care to tell me why you cheated on Barbara?" She asked harshly. Before Dick could answer, he felt nauseous, looking as green as Killer Croc. He ran to the sink and threw up. He groaned and faced Kara. "I just... don't love Barbara like I used to..." he admitted. "That doesn't give you the right to cheat on her! You could have simply told her that, it would have been less painful than hiding a bombshell like that from her!" Kara yells at him, "at least when Kevin and I broke up the first time, we did it face to face and broke up on good terms! You... You really are a dick..."

"So did Robin come crying to you, Dinah, or Kevin?" Dick smugly asked, "it's his fault for walking in on me and Kory. That idiot could have knocked at least..." Kara sighed, "you really live up to your namesake. You're an absolute jerk and you should be glad it's me scolding you and not Tyler." Dick rolled his eyes at Kara. That's when Barbara wheeled into the room, having eavesdropped the entire conversation. "You really are an absolute asshole!" She angrily yelled at him. At first Dick was surprised when Barbara yelled at him. Then he faced her and snarkily replied, "yeah, well I don't really care Barbara. Kory is in love with me and I'm not going to ignore her feelings." Barbara scoffed and asked, "and you're going to ignore mine? First you cheat behind my back, then you make excuses to avoid spending time with me, and then you punch my friend for calling you out on your infidelity?!?!?!?"

"What makes that stupid toon so worth defending?" Dick asked, not caring that he hurt Barbara. "Because unlike you, Robin Warner has actually been there for me and has made the effort to spend time with me when you wouldn't! And there's the fact that he brought us Kevin, your surrogate brother!" Barbara snapped back, "I thought you of all people understood the value of family and loyalty to friends. I guess I thought wrong... how would you have liked it if I had cheated on you, and slept with Bruce? You'd be angry with me. What makes you so entitled to stab me in the back like that?" She huffed, wiping her tears away. "How long, Dick? How long have you been seeing Kory behind my back?" Barbara asked him aggressively. "Three months before we met Kevin and Atticus." Dick said heartlessly, "I got hit by a hallucinogenic gas that made me think Slade was killing me. I was rehabilitating, and Kori admitted her feelings for me. I realized I liked her more than you. So yeah, I'm gonna ignore your feelings Barbara. It's over, we're done!" Barbara's heart broke again. The man she thought she loved had cheated on her and now he had the gall to dump her right there on the spot! Barbara wanted to cry. But soon that heartbreak was replaced with rage, rage coursing through her veins. Barbara growled and then punched Dick square in the face! "If I ever see you anywhere near me or this Clocktower, I will personally leave you to die next time you need patching up!" Barbara threatened him, "now get the hell out of my sight before I get Tyler to teach you a lesson." Dick scowled and said, "like I'd want medical attention from you." He rolled his eyes and turned his back on Barbara, leaving the Clocktower. Barbara glared at Dick as he wandered out of The Clocktower, tears streaming out of her eyes. Kara then hugged Barbara gently. "It's okay, we're gonna be here now..." Kara said softly, "me, Kevin, Dinah, Tyler, and Robin. Remember when you comforted me on the anniversary of my planet's death? Let me return the favor..." Barbara started to sob and through her sobbing she asked, "why did he have to hurt me like that? Was I not good enough?" Barbara hadn't cried this harshly since she was told she'd never walk again. Kara rocked Barbara back and forth and said, "it's not your fault... I'm here now. I got you..."
