I walked down the hall to my locker with Troy it was before class and I needed to get my books. I opened my locker and smiled at the pictures. One of me and Troy, One of me and Gabby and finally one of me, Gabby, Taylor and Clara. I closed it.

"hi guys"

"what" We jumped, Sharpay was standing there smiling

"I realised i haven't offered my congratulations" she beamed

"For what?" i asked

"For Gabriella of course. I admit her not being your understudy for the show is disappointing, but being selected for Stanford Freshman Honours Programme that is amazing for her and for East High." I was confused

"I have no clue what you're talking about" she brought out a piece of paper

"Everyone else does. The whole school is buzzing. The honourees get to spend some time with Stanford's top Professors starting next week."

"Next Week?" i asked looking at the paper

"Look right there. You really didn't know" We shook our head

"Okay this is awkward you possibly not doing the show, Gabriella defiantly not doing the show. I guess her not telling you means she's on the fence about it. But who better than her bestest friend in the whole world Danielle Jones to encourage her to accept the honour? Since the only possible thing holding her back would be her loyalty to you." I look at Troy

"well I'll see you at rehearsal toodles" she walked off and I looked at Troy before going to find Gabby. Well it was break before I found her in the yearbook office. I put it down in front of her.

"why didn't you tell me" she looked up

"who told you?" she asked

"Sharpay freaking Evens. Told me and Troy."

"Danni"

"Are you on the fence?" she said nothing "Are you?"

"A little"

"Why you've wanted to go since forever."

"because you might not even make it and well..."

"big deal about the show. If it came down to it then I'm sure Sharpay would happily take it. Why didn't you tell me, I was going on about my early start at CDA when you were up for the same thing."

"because its special"

"so is yours. Look you need to go, We both do." she stood up.

"nothing should get in your way not me and not this show. Promise me you'll go"

"I promise" she smiled

"good and next time you have big news I have to be the first to know" she laughed. I hugged her tightly.

That night I was doing my homework. When my phone rang with Troy's tune. I smiled and answered

"Hello" I said in a posh voice.

"Hello somebody order a pizza pie?" he asked I laughed

"I didn't order a pizza"

"special delivery" I heard from my phone and outside. I closed it off and went to look. Troy was at the bottom with a picnic basket and pizza.

"Pepperoni Pizza!" I shushed him, my sister was asleep.

"just the way you like it, let's not forget what's a picnic without chocolate covered strawberries?" he hoisted it up and I grabbed it.

"it would be rude without it" i smiled and he climbed up. we laid on the floor eating pizza and chocolate covered strawberries with a drinks. We finished the pizza.

"do you want the last strawberry?" he wondered i looked at it deciding.

"come on this might well be the best strawberry in the whole world but you wouldn't know cause you're not going to eat it" I chuckled and took a bite

"mm delicious" he took the rest.

"So how did the talk with Gabby go"

"sorted it all out, like you did with me I made her promise to go" he nodded

"you know I found a picture of me and my mom the other night. I realised that it's been ages since I thought about her. Time has gone so fast i still want to slow down."

"we're still going to graduate that's still going to happen" I laid on his lap

"I know but i leave on Monday, I don't want it to come just yet."

"I know" he sighed

"look I have something to tell you as well"

"what is it?"

"well I've been thinking about taking a college offer in California who knows maybe it will be close enough that we might be able to move in together" I sat up and look at him

"really" I ask he laughs

"maybe I haven't fully decided but it's possible" I smiled at him he looked down.

"oh time to go Mum will kill me if I'm not there" I walked him to the balcony then put my hand through his hair

"you know this is not to influence you at all. But i would be extremely happy if you did. As long as your absolutely sure that is."

"I know" he kissed me and I sighed in content pulling away, I stroked his cheek.

"I'll see you on the morning I leave okay" he nodded and left.

A/n - Walk away isn't a part of this because Danni isn't walking away. I hope my way is working but I couldn't have Danni do what Gabriella does. But I will work Gabby coming back for the play.
