3rd POV
RWBY and the two boys were helping set up camp. Yang and Weiss were setting up the cots for everyone, Blake and Sky went down to the lake to catch fish, everyone knew they were going to be there for a while.
Sky: so uh, what do you think this werewolf looks like?
Blake: couldn't tell ya......tracks
Sky: What?
Blake: footprints.....they look a little familiar.....must be my imagination or something like that.
She stood up to see Sky standing still, holding a cod
Sky: hey I caught som-
A large black figure ran in front of Blake, grabbing Sky in its teeth, and running into the more enclosed woods. Sky was heard screaming, followed by gunshots, until absolute silence. Blake fell backwards and ran back to camp.
Cardin: Blake, where's Sky? We heard gunshots
Blake: I don't think he made it, he was holding a cod, then a black figure ran in front of me and grabbed him...
Ruby: did you see anything that could help us
Blake: it's definitely not a werewolf, I saw tracks, they were fresh and far from a wolf paw.....
Yang: what could it be?
Blake: I don't know....and I'm scared to go back.
A roar echoed through the forest, it sounded like it was coming from all sides, no one knew where it could be. They all huddled close and kept their eyes out, ensuring nothing could sneak up on them. They began sweating, they were fearful for the first time since they joined Beacon.
Yang: after this I'm so done with forests and woods
Ruby: but that trip to the forest of forever fall is happening
Yang: UGH!
Blake: I don't want to be the bearer of bad news but I don't think we'll be able to stop this thing....it's so quick, I don't think Ruby could do mu......
Ruby: what?
Yang and Blake both looked at each other and then at Ruby
Ruby: what?
5 seconds later
Ruby was wandering through the woods with her hood on. Above her was the Indoraptor, watching her from the branches.
Ruby: hello?!....anyone out here.....I have cookies
The Indoraptor moved slowly above her head, until jumping down to her side. Ruby heard a twig snapped and she stood completely still. She heard the sound of a low growl slowly coming closer to her. In front of her she saw an Ursa Major growling at her as well.
Ruby: oh no
The Ursa then began to charge her, until the Indoraptor ran past her, making her hood follow the wind it caused. It grabbed the Ursa Major by the neck and slammed it into the ground. It then pulled off the Grimm's neck and threw it into a tree. Ruby saw the Indoraptor, being one of the few people to live to see it. The Indoraptor snapped its neck towards Ruby and started walking towards her.
Ruby: h-hi.....cookie?
She held out a chocolate chip cookie, it then stood over her and slapped it out of her hand. She quickly turned around and ran. She was running as fast as she could. The Indoraptor roared and ran after her, keeping up with her surprisingly.
Ruby: WEISS! SET IT NOW!
Ruby jumped into the circle they made, they all looked to see the Indoraptor running at them. Weiss jammed her sword into the ground to make Ice shards come out of the ground for a trap. The Indoraptor sped up and jumped over the first shard and landed on the one behind Ruby, shattering it completely. It looked at all of them and growled.
Cardin: that's no werewolf
A Bullhead Light then shined over them and the Indoraptor, a net then fell over it, making it roar.
Ozpin: let the children in!
They dropped a ladder, allowing RWBY and Cardin to climb up. Blake looked over the side to see the Indoraptor ripping the net up and escaping.
Blake: it ran into the woods!
Ozpin: you children are safe, that's all that matters....what happened to Sky?
Blake: he.....didn't make it
Ozpin: I see.....we'll have to tell his parents....poor things.
Timeskip to Beacon
They were out in the woods for 5 hours, now it's 9 at night. Everyone went back into Beacon to get into bed. They never want to relive what happened in that forest. Though little do they know that they'll have unexpected guest later that night
