Shocking Reality

Y/N P.O.V

Killua and I have been dating for a year now and I can't be more happy. Of course we always stick together with Gon, while Kurapika and Leorio is doing their own business. Kurapika is still working as a bodyguard and Leorio he managed to achieve his dreams of becoming a doctor.

We are now walking together to see if there's an adventure waiting for us. It's starting to get boring, " it's boring there's no challenge! " I whined. I heard chuckle beside me I turn to see Killua and Gon chuckling at my childish behavior

" *pout* what so funny? " " you're Y/N " Killua said chuckling while wrapping his arms around my shoulder from behind. " am not " " are too " " am not! " " are too! " " am- oh whatever " they just giggle.

" seriously though guys, I'm bored " I say. " yeah me too, there's nothing to do " Killua agreed. " guys just consider it a vacation, cause you know we've been fighting the past months. Lets take a break " " you're right Gon " " guys, I missed H/N ( hometown name). Especially my grandma. Come to think of it I haven't visit her in a while " " then what are we waiting for, lets go visit your grandma "

I cheered " okay!!! " we then went to harbor and bought a ticket.

We are on a ship to H/N, " I can't wait to get there, I missed my grandma so much " "be patient Y/N, it isn't that far anymore. We should be able to see the land any minute now " and Killua was right, a few minutes later I saw the land.

Just as the ship reached the land I quickly step out. I then took of running to where my home is. " Y/N wait up!!! " I heard Killua yell. " hurry up you guys. I wanna reach home as soon as possible " I yelled back while running backward. I faced forward again and sprint faster.

" grandmaa!!! I'm here!!! I'm home!!! " I continue to yell. But I didn't see or hear her coming out nor responding. I came to a stop. ' something isn't right, grandma usually respond ' I thought worriedly. " gosh Y/N you're a fast runner" I heard Gon yelled while catching up. Killua mumbled a 'yeah' out of breath.

Killua approach me " what's wrong Y/N? I thought you said you wanna see your grandma as soon as possible, why did you stop now? " " it's too quite Killua, something doesn't feel right " " what do you mean? " I ignore his question and continue walking towards my house.

I try opening the door to see it isn't lock. " that's weird, grandma never forget to lock the door " I walked in with Gon and Killua close behind. " where could she be? it's too quiet here " I say to no one in particular, but the others hear it anyway. " Y/N me and Gon will be outside for a bit, 'Kay? " I heard Killua said. I turn to him and nod. I went to the living room knowing that's where my grandma spend most of her time, I wasn't prepared for the sight in front of me. My eyes widened in shock and I collapse on my knee, with my hands covering my trembling mouth.

' no, no, no t-this can't be happening ' everything is covered in blood, and in the middle of the room lays my grandma, lifeless. I shook my head not taking reality and my hand grip hard on my hair. " no, no, no this isn't real, it can't be happening " I start to scream " this can't be happening !!!! " I scream louder.

I heard running footsteps coming the where I am. " Y/N I heard you screaming! What's-" Killua stopped mid sentence as he see the sight. Gon stopped dead in his track. Killua ran to me and cover me from the view with his body in front of me hugging me " shhh, Y/N it's okay. I'm here " he tries to comfort me but I won't budge. "This can't be happening!!! " I get out of his hug and ran away.

I heard Killua and Gon yelling for me to stop but I ignore them. I came to a stop near a cliff. " aaaaahhhhh * I scream louder to the point where my throat begins to hurt* why is this happening, the only family I have left. Is gone " I collapse on my knees sobbing. Tears continues falling.

" Y/N!!! " I heard Killua. But I kept my head down. I felt 2 pair of arms wrapped around me. " Y/N I know it's hard. But please don't act like this. You have to let go " I heard Killua who's holding me from my right. Gon pulled away " he's right Y/N, how do you think your grandma would feel if she saw you like this? " I kept crying with Killua holding me close to his chest. After a while I calm down and pulled away from Killua " you're right guys. I have to let go. She's in a better place now " I say wiping my tears.

I look up the sky " grandma, if you could hear me. Thank you for taking care of me. Thank you for everything, rest in peace grandma. I love you, you may be gone but you'll always stay alive *pointing to my heart* in here in my heart " I say as tears slipped down my eyes.

" Y/N " I turn to Killua " Killua, I lost my remaining family. I'm all alone now " he hugged me tightly " no you're not Y/N you still have me " Gon joined the hug " and me too, we're your family "

I smiled at them " thanks guys " we went back to my house. Once I reach there I walk towards where my grandma lifeless body is " I'm gonna give her a proper funeral " "we'll help you " I smiled at them.

Time-skip

We are done with giving my grandma a proper funeral. " I don't wanna be here anymore, this place is now filled with nothing but pain after I lost my grandma " "I understand Y/N, come on I'll help you pack " I nod and went to my room to start packing. While packing I my mark glow a soft violet. ' we're being watched ' I thought while looking around.

" what's wrong Y/N? " I look at him mouthing ' we are being watched ' I step closer to the window and I saw movements. I jump out the window. " Y/N!!!!" Killua yelled. I ignore him and ran towards where I saw the movements " come on out! Who ever you are. I know you're watching me " " my my you've grown well my dear " I turn to the source " who are you?! " " I'm your father " " liar! " " why would I lie "

I start to attack him " you're not my father! You left me, you left mom to die " " that's what your grandma told you isn't it?" I stopped and narrowed my eyes at him " how'd you know?" " That's because I told her to say so " " why? " " I'll tell you when you're calm " " I am calm!! " " you're not Y/N, you're yelling and glaring at me " I calmed down "okay now you're calm " " okay now can you tell me the truth? " he nod and motion me to sit in front of him

*flash back* 14 Years Ago

F/N (Father Name) P.O.V

I'm standing in the waiting room, my wife is giving birth for our first child. I kept pacing back and forth. I was worried not only for my wife but for my child. The truth is I was not a human. I'm a hybrid, half werewolf half vampire. I'm afraid that my child will inherit that from me. Someone who's born that way, most of them is unstoppable. Only a few will be born with a kind heart but most are evil. That's what I'm afraid of, I don't want my child to be evil.' she'll be okay. She'll be okay ' was the only thing going on in my head.

After a while the room is filled with cries of my newborn baby. I turn to the doctor who just stepped out of the room " congratulation sir, your baby is a girl " she said while handing me my baby.

I carried my baby in my arms, she looks so beautiful just like her mom. When she open her eyes that's when everything seems to stop. Her eyes... they are gold-ish orange. That's the eye of a hybrid. After a while they turn black. My fear has come true. My daughter is born as a half hybrid. Since her mom is human.

After a while the doctor ran outside. " sir! Your wife sir, she's lost too much blood I'm afraid she won't make it " I hand my newborn baby to her and step into the room. I walked straight to see my wife laying down there looking so weak and pale. " baby, our baby is a girl and she's as beautiful as you are " I say as I held her hand in mine " I'm glad " " but she inherit me, she's just like me... A hybrid " she cried and I held her " shh, but I can tell that she is kind hearted, she won't be evil. I can feel it " " honey, I believe you. But I'm sorry I won't be here with you watching our daughter grow up " " no, don't say that you'll be okay. You're gonna be okay " I cried as tears falling from my eyes continuously.

" I don't have much time left. I'm sorry honey " " no- " " I have one final request " " what is it baby " " don't let our daughter know her identity as a hybrid. Let her believe that she's a human, I don't want her to be feared or be in danger with those bandits roaming around" " I understand " " can I have one last request from you " " sure baby anything " I choke a sob as she close her eyes " kiss me " she whispered.

I comply and kiss her. Pouring out all my feelings. Our lips moved in sync and fitted perfectly like a puzzle. Then I felt hers stop moving. I pulled away to look at her, she didn't open her eyes anymore. I cried more and hug her " farewell my love. Please rest in peace " I kiss her forehead one last time and walk away towards the door. Before I open the door I look back to her one last time. " goodbye, M/N ( mom name ). I love you " I told the doctor she's gone. We have funeral 3 days after that.

*end of flashback*

" so why'd you leave me? Mom only told you to keep my true identity a secret. Why'd you leave? " " we hybrid can't control our thirst, so I have to leave. That is also to protect you " I stayed silent " so... I'm not a human? " " you're half hybrid half human, you're more dominant on your human blood, that's why you're not evil like me. I can tell that the moment your eyes turn into your human side. The fastest it turns normal it proves which side you're more dominant to, that's why I left you to your grandma and ask her to tell all that to you "

" grandma, I wish I didn't leave. I could've able to stop her from suicide " " suicide? No my dear. She was murdered. That's why I've been around I tried to catch the culprit but they got away, I've been staying here since hoping they'll comeback so I could catch them " " them? " " yeah they are a group of bandits, they are after people like us hybrids, they are afraid of us so they want us gone. That's also the reason why I left you. Just like your mom final request to keep you safe. But they somehow finds out. That's why they came. They ask your grandma about your whereabouts but your grandma refuses to tell them. That's why they murder your grandma "

I can't believe my ear " so you mean those bandits are after me? " " yes, you have to be careful " " who are they? " " they call themselves, Phoenix. Member of 10, but they're really strong and they hunt hybrids "

" Phoenix *growl* I'll make them pay for killing grandma " " no my dear. They're too strong for you " " I don't care. They took away whats precious to me, I'll make them pay even if it caused my life " I yelled out of anger, my eyes flash Gold-ish orange. Dad stare at me shocked " looks like I couldn't stop you. But remember this my child. You are born different. If you die, you'll comeback as a full hybrid, the only one remain dead is your human side " I just nod too shock to respond to the information I just get. " now Y/N, I must go. Your friends are looking for you "

Just as he said that I heard Killua's voice along with Gon. I turn to see them running at me and Killua engulfing me with a tight hug " gosh Y/N, you make me so worried. Don't run off like that " I hug him back " I'm sorry Killua, sorry to make you worried "

" at least she's safe now " I heard Gon say. I smile at them and turn to where my dad supposed to be to find an empty spot ' he left ' " Y/N? You okay? " " yeah I'm okay let's go " We left the forest knowing that I'm still being watched as my mark glow a soft violet, I put my hand inside my pocket so they won't question me.

' I can't tell him now, I don't know his reaction. What if he hates me if he know the truth that I was born as a half hybrid ' was what going on in my mind as we continue to walk towards my home.

Time-skip

We are standing in the harbor to wait for the ship arrival. " this is the last time I'm here. I'm not coming back for a long time. I need to get used to the fact that my grandma is gone " Killua hugged me " I know Y/N. I know it won't be easy. But you'll get through this * place his finger on my chin to lift my head to look at him* and remember that you're never alone, you have me and Gon. We are your family " I smile at him and nod. He lean in to give me a soft and gentle kiss. We pulled away and I turn to look at the land that looked more distant each second.

' goodbye for now, I'll come back when I'm ready ' I thought with a sad smile. Killua kept me in his arms to comfort me. I lean my head on his shoulder and close my eyes.
