Chapter 23 - Peace

Anna's POV

My father clenched his fist, looking at us, frustrated. I was frozen.

"Let me explain." Eros said; my father gave him a dirty look.

"I am talking to Anna, not you!" He hissed.

"Dad..." I murmured.

"How many times will you disappoint me?!" My father stated, full of anger and disappointment in his eyes. "Your baby is sleeping downstairs. The baby who you only know his father's name, nothing more. Upstairs you kiss....him." He commented angrily and pointed to Eros. "I do not know who you are anymore. You are not my daughter." He added.

I couldn't hold my tears back anymore.

"Atlas is my son." Eros confessed proudly. My father looked at him in confusion. "I am his father. I met Anna in New York. I told her that my name was Emmett. I did not want anybody found who I was. I left New York without informing her. All faults are mine, not hers." He confessed. "I regret what I did. I love her so much. I will do everything to make Anna and my son happy." Eros added and held my hand.

My father looked at him angrily. "Is it true, Anna?" My father asked me without taking his eyes off Eros.

"Yes, Dad." I responded.

My father rushed towards us instantly and punched Eros. Eros fell down.

"Dad!" I screamed in shock.

Eros's lips were bleeding. I knelt down beside him.

"Eros, your lips..." I mumbled, touching his lips with my fingertip.

"I am okay. I deserved it. Do not worry." He stated, wiping his blood off his lips.

His parents and my mother came.

"What happened?" Uncle Loukas asked, looking at us. They were looking at us, confused.

"Ask your bastard son!" My father snapped.

As Uncle Loukas understood the situation, he sighed.

"Anna, help Eros to go to his room." Uncle Loukas demanded.

I nodded. I helped Eros to stand up and wrapped my arm around his waist. He wrapped his arm around my shoulder, pulling me closer to him. We went to his room.

I helped him to sit down on the bed.

"Eros, I am sorry." I mumbled, crying.

"Shh, do not cry. I deserved more." He said and held my wrist, pulling me into his lap.

I sat down in his lap. He hugged me tightly. I hugged him back and buried my head in the crook of his neck, sobbing. He was stroking my hair. I did not know how long we were staying like this.

"Sorry." I heard my mother's voice.

I pulled back and stood up, wiping my tears off my cheeks.

"Mom." I mumbled.

She was standing at the door, holding my son in her arms. Atlas was sobbing.

"He must be hungry." My mother commented.

I nodded and took my son in my arms. My mother left the room without saying anything. I kissed Atlas's forehead.

Atlas fell asleep in my arms. I put him on the bed carefully. I pulled a blanket over him and placed pillows beside him.

Eros came closer to me and wrapped his arms around me from behind, leaning his chin against my shoulder.

"You are the best mother on the earth." He murmured in my ear and kissed my neck. I leaned my cheek against his.

Later, Uncle Loukas called us. My parents had left. He told us that my father was still angry.

After talking, we went to the bedroom. It was late. So, we decided to stay here.

Eros wrapped his arms around my waist, pulling me closer to him.

"Everything will be good. I promise you." He stated.

I wrapped my arms around his neck and brushed my lips against his lips.

When I woke up, Eros and Atlas were sleeping on the bed. They were so cute. My little boy looked like his father. I placed a soft kiss on Atlas's head. I stroked Eros's cheek and got up.

I walked out of the bathroom. I saw them playing. Eros was tickling him. Atlas was smiling. I smiled at them.

"Good morning." I greeted him, smiling.

"Morning." Eros said, smiling at me.

After breakfast, Eros and Uncle Loukas went to the company. Eros told me he would go to the hotel to talk to my father after the meeting.

It was evening. Helena and I were in the living room, waiting for Eros and Uncle Loukas. Atlas was sleeping.

I was so nervous; Eros was going to see my father today.

How will my father react when he sees Eros?

Yesterday, he was really frustrated.

Suddenly, Atlas woke up and started crying. I picked him up in my arms.

I was rocking him lightly, trying to soothe him.

"Shh, my little boy." I murmured, stroking his back, but he was still crying non-stop.

"Maybe, he is hungry." Helena commented.

"No, he is not. I breastfed him an hour ago." I informed.

The doorbell hummed. The housekeeper opened the door. Eros walked in.

"Good evening." He greeted us.

"Good evening." I said, rocking Atlas lightly. He was still crying.

"My boy, why are you crying?" Eros walked closer to us and asked him tenderly.

"I do not now. He did not stop crying." I informed helplessly.

"Come to your dad, my little Taptiklis." He cooed and took him in his arms.

Eros kissed his cheeks and made funny faces at him.

A few seconds later, Atlas stopped crying.

"He stopped crying." I said happily.

"My boy missed his father." Eros cooed. Atlas smiled.

I smiled at them.

Eros walked closer to me and whispered in my ear. "Did you miss me, too?" He gave me a mischievous grin.

"Eros!" I exclaimed, looking at Helena, blushing. She smiled at us.

Later, Eros told me what he had said to my father. He said my father softened up a little.

After dinner, we went to our house.

Four months later

I was staring at Eros and my son, smiling. Eros launched Atlas high into the air and caught him. Atlas was giggling. My adorable boys.

Eros kissed Atlas's cheek, holding him in his arms. Atlas yawned, rubbing his eyes.

"Sleep time, my little Taptiklis." Eros cooed, stroking his hair. Atlas babbled.

Eros carried him to his nursery room. I went behind them.

I kissed Atlas's forehead. Eros kissed his cheek and put him in his crib. He pulled a blanket over him.

Atlas closed his eyes slightly. He was so energetic today. They played all day long.

Eros held my hand, heading us to the bedroom. He wrapped his arms around me from behind.

"I missed you." He murmured, placing kisses on my neck.
