The scene starts with PreeRan.

Rakhi opened the door to find PreeRan standing with Pihu. She mentally thanked God after seeing them happy.

Preeta - Sorry hume der ho gayi

Rakhi - Nahi nahi puttar sorry mat bol

Pihu - Hum icecream laaye hai 😋

Karan - Ha hum sab saath mein baith kar icecream khaayenge 😅

He closed the door and walked towards the living room to find Mahesh watching news.

Pihu - Dadu!! 😌

She sat beside him and talked to him about various rides and how much fun she had.

Karan (in mind) - Ek saal baad ye khushiyaan aayi hai, mai humari family par kisiki buri nazar nahi lagne dunga 🥺

Rakhi - Pihu kitni khush hai na? Aaj toh Mahesh ji bhi khush lag rahe hai 🥺

Karan - Dad kab mujhse baat karenge mom? Woh thik se baat bhi nahi karte.. meri taraf dekhte bhi nahi hai, mai unki naraazgi kaise dur karu? 😢

Rakhi - Sab thik ho jaayega puttar tu aise ro mat 😟

He wiped his tears. Preeta was standing behind them with a tray in her hands.

Preeta (in mind) - Mahesh papa kis baat ko lekar Karan se naraaz hai?

She shook her head and went to Pihu. Rakhi and Karan joined them.

Karan - Dad ice-cream kaisa hai?

He brought his favourite ice-cream.

Mahesh - Achha hai.

He replied in a monotonous way making Karan sad.

Preeta - Mahesh papa humne 2-3 shops mein patah kiya iss ice-cream ke liye lekin nahi mila but Karan ne kaha hum ye ice-cream flavour liye bina ghar nahi jaayenge, aapka favourite hai na isliye 😅

Pihu - Ha dadu 😌

She agreed while eating. Karan gave them a faint smile.

Mahesh - Bass usne itni mehnat aur lagan pehle dikhayi hoti, apne rishte bachane mein, apne apno ko saath rakhne mein 😒

Karan looked down in guilt. Preeta was confused and Pihu looked between them.

Rakhi - Mahesh ji aap bhi kya baatein le kar baith gaye 😅

Karan stood up and went to his room.

Preeta - Karan 🧐

She was about to stand up but Rakhi told her to give him some time and space.

PreeRan room

Preeta looked around and found Karan standing in the balcony.

Karan (in mind) - Kuch samajh nahi aa raha kya karu, kaise dad ki naraazgi dur karu (held his head) kaise sab thik karu 🥺

Preeta hugged him from behind making him still.

Preeta - Sab thik ho jaayega Bajarbattu 😌

This brought tears to his eyes.

Karan - Kaise thik hoga babydoll 🥺

Preeta - Hum saath mil kar sab thik karenge 😁

Karan (in mind) - Tumhe sach ka patah nahi hai babydoll, sach jaan ne ke baad hum, 'hum' nahi rahenge, tum mujhe chhod kar chali jaaogi 😥

He felt void of her touch and immediately turned around being anxious. He felt at peace, seeing her standing in front of him.

Karan - Kya hua?

Preeta - Mujhe laga tum uncomfortable mehsoos karoge isliye..

Karan - Nahi babydoll (held her hand) tumhare saath mujhe kabhi uncomfortable mehsoos nahi ho sakta, tum hi toh mera comfort ho (hugs her) mera pyaar ho ✨

Preeta smiled and hugged him back. He nuzzled in her neck inhaling her fragrance.

Karan - Don't leave me please 🥺

His voice turned vulnerable and helpless. Preeta rubbed his back feeling hot tears on her neck.

Preeta - Mai nahi jaaungi 😟

Karan - Mai jaane nahi dunga (hugs her tightly) kahin nahi jaane dunga tumhe

Preeta ruffled his hair to calm him and he continued to weep.

Preeta - Karan (held him and looked at him) rona band bhi karo ab (wiped his tears) kitne bade rotdu ho tum 🤭

Karan looked at her who was hiding her smile.

Karan - Mai rotdu nahi hu ☹️

Preeta - Really? Itne dino se tum kitni baar roye ho 😧

Karan - Tum na..

He stopped listening to the ringtone.

Preeta - Kon call kar raha hai?

She looked at the caller ID with a  huge smile plastered on her face.

Karan - Kon hai? 🧐

Preeta - Anshuman 😁

She took the call and started talking to him happily.

Karan (murmurs) - Ye Anshuman bhi na, use patah nahi ki raat ko ek couple ko disturb nahi karte 😕

He looked at her who was roaming in the room giggling after listening to Anshuman.

Karan - Kaash meri baatein bhi use itna khush kar sakti, kaash woh mere saath bhi itna khul kar hasti aur bolti 😞

He looked at the sky and wished for the same.

Karan (in mind) - Sab thik ho jaayega 😇

Feeding himself with some positivity, he went back to his room and asked Preeta to give him the phone.

Preeta - Tumhe Anshuman se baat karni hai? 🤨

Karan - Ha 😌

Preeta nodded and gave him the phone.

Karan (on call) - Hi Anshuman.

Anshuman (on call) - Karan, kaisa hai tu?

Karan - Preeta ke milne ke baad, ekdum thik

Preeta looked at him and smiled.

Anshuman - Ha woh toh hoga hi tu, kitni mehnat ki hai tune use dhundhne ki (sighs) finally jo tera tha woh tujhe mil gaya 😅

Karan - Thanks to you, tune meri babydoll ka ek saal tak khyaal rakha, even aunty aur dadi ne bhi

Anshuman - Ismein thanks kya yaar, meri friend hai woh khyaal toh mujhe rakhna hi tha 😌

Karan - Lekin tujhe jitna thanks kahu utna kam hai, you don't know what she means to me 🥺

Preeta - Tum phirse rona shuru mat karna ☹️

Karan nods in no.

Anshuman - Thanks bolna band kar ab aur ha Preeta ka dhyaan rakh

Karan - Khudse bhi zyada, bye!

Anshuman - Yeah bye!

Karan cut the call and gave the phone to Preeta.

Preeta - Kya kaha usne?

Karan - Woh keh raha tha ki tum use bohot pareshaan karti thi, tumhari complaint ki hai usne 😏

Preeta - Mai koi use pareshaan nahi karti thi ulta woh mujhe chhedta rehta tha 😧

He chuckled and said.

Karan - Usne tumhara dhyaan rakhne ko kaha (cups her face)

Preeta - Toh tumne usse kaha nahi..

Karan - Kya? 🧐

Preeta - ..ki Mr. Luthra (kept her hand on his which was on her cheek) apni Mrs. Luthra ka achhe se dhyaan rakh rahe hai 🥰

He smiled at her.

Pihu - Papa..

Preeta quickly removed Karan's hand and turned to look at Pihu.

Karan - Pihu aap.. kya hua? 🤔

Pihu - Aaj mujhe pretty mumma aur aapke bich sona hai 😌

Preeta looked at Karan who had always kept distance and slept on the couch.

Karan - Uh..

Pihu - Chalo papa (kept her pillow on the bed) mumma aao

Preeta - Ha beta 😁

Pihu lied down between PreeRan.

Pihu - Mumma story time.

Preeta caressed her hair and was telling a story. Karan was feeling sleepy along with Pihu but kept his eyes open.

Pihu sleeps in the middle of the story and Preeta tucked her in.

Karan was just staring in the space.

Preeta - Tumhe nind nahi aa rahi?

Karan looked at her and nodded in no.

Preeta - Jhoothe! Tumhari aankhein dekho jaa kar, aisa lag raha hai thik se soye nahi ho aaj tak, sujhi hui hai aur laal bhi hai thodi si, aaj bohot thak gaye na tum isliye 🤔 ab chain ki nind lo aur so jao 😁

Karan (in mind) - Jis din tumhe kho diya tha uss din se chain se so nahi paaya shayad ab bhi nahi so paaunga 😟

Preeta (snapped her fingers) - Tum kya sochte rehte ho baar baar? 🧐

Karan - Kuch nahi, tum so jao, good night 😌

Preeta - Ha toh raat ho gayi hai so hi jaaungi na, raat sone ke liye hi hoti hai 😒

Karan lifted his head a little with an infamous smirk. Preeta widened her eyes knowing what was going on in his mind.

Karan - Are you sure, raat sirf sone ke liye hi hoti hai? 😏

Preeta - You! (lowers her voice) You Besharam Luthra (snaps) so jao! 😳

He kept his head on pillow and hugs Pihu still smirking at her. Preeta looked away feeling shy and closed her eyes. 😂✨

Karan smiled at himself and tried to gain some sleep.

After half an hour

Pihu opens her eyes and gets down from bed with her doll.

Pihu - Good night mumma papa 🤩

She went to her room.

Next Morning

Karan was cuddling to a soft pillow thinking it was Preeta. But his sleep broke realising the lack of warmth.

Karan - Preeta 🤯

He was wide awake and looked around.

Karan - Preeta! 😧

He threw the blanket away and stood up.

Preeta - Kya hua? Kyu chilla rahe ho? 🧐

She walked in to find Karan near bathroom.

Karan - Tum kaha thi? 🤔

Preeta - Niche gayi thi, kitchen mein, Rakhi maa ki madad karne, lekin tum kyu itne ghabraye huye ho? 🤨

Karan come towards her.

Karan - Just promise me one thing babydoll..

Preeta - Yahi na ki mai tumhe chhod kar na jau (turns to go) nahi jaaungi baba 😌

He held her arm and pulled her close. Preeta looked in his eyes.

Karan - Promise me, jab bhi mai apni aankhein kholu toh tum mere paas hogi, sabse pehle mai tumhe dekhunga 😥

Preeta looked at sweat forming on his forehead and neck.

Preeta - Tum baith jao pehle..

Karan (whisper yelled) - No! Promise me! Promise me babydoll please 🥺

Preeta - I promise.. ab baith jao 😧

He looked down and sat on the bed. She goes to take a glass of water but his eyes were stuck on her.

Preeta - Paani piyo aur shaant ho jao 😟

He took the glass and gulped down the chilled water and his nerves calmed down a bit.

Preeta - Tum panic mode mein kyu chale jaate ho? Itna toh samjho, mujhe kaam bhi hota hai, mai subah subah tumhare paas thodi baith sakti hu 🤷‍♀️

Karan (clutched her hand) - Par tumne abhi promise kiya tha ki tum mere paas rahogi.. 😨

His sudden reaction made her scare a little.

Preeta - Ha mai tumhare paas hi rahungi (caressed his cheek) ab shaant ho jao aur zyada mat socho hm? 😲

Karan nods.

Preeta - Tum taiyar ho jao, mai breakfast banati hu 😁

Karan gave a faint (forced) smile and went inside the washroom.

Preeta (in mind) - Karan aise behave kyu kar raha hai? Rakhi maa se baat karni padegi

At dining table

Mahesh was munching on dry fruits and made Pihu eat some of them.

Karan took a seat beside him but Mahesh ignored him.

Rakhi and Preeta placed the dishes and served the breakfast.

Ding Dong!

Preeta - Mai dekhti hu

She went to open the door and saw unfamiliar faces.

Preeta - Aap kon?

Karan walked towards her and looked at his family standing there.

Bani - Karan puttar 🥺

Karan looked away.

Kareena - Preeta 😧

Preeta - Aap mujhe jaanti hai 🧐

Bani, Kareena, Kritika and Sameer got confused.

Karan - Preeta tum andar jao, mai inse baat karta hu 😶

Preeta was about to protest when Makhi came there. 😂

Mahesh - Tum yahan kya kar rahi ho Kareena? 🙄

Kareena - Bhai mai aapse milne aayi thi 😟

Mahesh - Kon bhai? Kaisa bhai? 😕

Bani - Mahesh tu kab tak humse naraz rahega 🥺

Sameer - Aapne kaam hi aisa kiya hai 😒 (to Preeta) Bhabhi I am so sorry mai aapse milne nahi aa paaya woh Rishabh Bhai ne mujhe kaam se Delhi bheja tha 😅

Preeta looked at Karan with confusion.

Preeta - Tumhara Bhai? 😧

Karan - Chachi ji ka beta hai.. Sameer

Preeta - Oh yes! Tumne bataya tha mujhe Sameer ke baarein mein.. the useless one! 😁

Sameer glares at Karan who gave him a deadly glare in return. 😂

Preeta - Sorry! 😳

Rishabh - Mere baarein mein Karan ne kuch bataya tha Preeta ji?

Preeta - Rishabh ji..

Karan looked at her in surprise. He told her about everyone but hasn't shown their pictures.

Preeta held her head feeling a little dizzy. Karan rushed to her side and held her.

Karan - Kya ho raha hai?

Preeta - Kuch nahi bass ek second ke liye mind blank hogaya 🤔

Karan - Tum aao mere saath 😟

Preeta - Nahi mai thik hu, tumhari family aayi hai, welcome toh karne do mujhe 😅 (to Bani) aayiye na dadi 😌

Bani looked down in guilt.

Mahesh - Rakhi ji chaliye mujhe bhook lagi hai, breakfast karte hai

He ignored everyone and went to the dining table.
