Exclaimed a boy aged 9 and holding a little girl's hand who was 7.

"What"
All eyes were on him. His parents Randhir and Saru, his best frnd Naveen and the girl's parents Ira and Inder.

"Tum sunn bhi rahe ho Rajveer kya keh rhe ho" Inder shouted at him

"Mai sunn bhi rahaa hu and I mean what I say....yeh aap log bhi jaante hai" he said sternly

Though he is a kid....but everyone knows how stubborn he is for fulfilling what he said once. Inder and Randhir are best frnds from their collage time, as a result their wives and now their children are best frnds too. They had known from the start only that Raina would be life partners but not in their dreams had they expected to welcome this so soon.

"Beta, abhi to aap log bachhe ho na" Ira tried to pacify him

Rajveer and Inder having a tough competition in glaring eachother trying to win than the other with their glare.

Saru: Rajveer stop it....kya bakwaas krr rhe ho

Rajveer: No mom

Randhir: Free her hand Rajveer

His father said throwing fire balls at him through his eyes. He harshly separated Naina's hands from his son who had become stubborn. Immediately Naina hugged Randhir and started sobbing.

Randhir: Shhh bachha....stop crying

Saru: Wo drr gyi hai Randhir

Rajveer: Aap logo ne kahaa tha kii Naina aur mai hmesha saath tabhi reh skte hai jab hmaari shaadi hogi....isiliye I want to marry her

Naveen who couldn't tolerate a single tear in his baby sis's eye came forward.

Naveen: Veeru...wo drr gyi hai yrr....please thora shant ho jaa

Rajveer turned to look at her and found her shaking while crying. He bent on his knees and held his ears.

Rajveer: I am really sorry Nainu.....mai tumhe darana nhi chaahta tha...maaf krr do

Naina slowly peeked at Rajveer and found his eyes moist. Just like Naveer couldn't tolerate tears in her eyes...she too couldn't see them in this state. Naina came forward and held his hands.

Naina: I am sorry Veer.....meko rona nhi tha....but wo...wo...rona aa gya

Rajveer held her wrist at which she hissed in pain. He immediately grabbed her wrist to check

Rajveer: Kya hua....kahaan lagi hai tumhe....btao

He saw her wrist and noticed some bruises

Rajveer: Yeh kaise aaye Nainu....

He asked looking for the first aid box

Naina: Wo aaj jab mai tumhaare liye cake bake krr rhi thi tab hua

Rajveer: Kya zaroorat thi karne ko haan ??

He mildly scolded her while applying the medicine

Rajveer: kisi ko btaya bhi nhi

Naina: Agar bta deti to koi bnaane na deta....and tumhe yeh itna pasand hai

Rajveer: Mere liye itna sab kyu ?

Naina: Tum bhi to karte ho....uss din school mei jab wo Abhimanyu mujhe bully krr rahaa tha tab tumne bhi to usko itna maara tha aur fir Randhir uncle ko bina sach btaaye unki daant bhi to khaayi

Rajveer: to wo geet gaata lambe baalon wala jhabrela yahi deserve krta hai

While these two were talking in their world rest if them were looking at this in adoration. After their deep care filled talk they looked at their parents. 

Inder: Naina chalo hmaare saath

Rajveer: Wo kaheen nhi jaayegi

Naveen: Raj abhi to hum bachhe hai na....jab bade honge tab shaadi krr lena

Rajveer: Tab tak Nainu to mere saath nhi rahegi....Inder uncle usko zabardasti homework karwaayenge....agar mere saath rahegi to mai uska homeowrk karunga na

Ira: Beta jab tak Naina homework nahi karegi to wo seekhegi kaise ? 

Rajveer: Prr Inder uncle usko daant te hai

Naveen: I promise mai khayaal rakhunga koi gudiya ko nhi daatega

Rajveer: Hum roz saath khel paayenge ?

Saru: Rajveer wo log buisness ke liye USA jaa rahe hai

Rajveer: Prr Nainu ko to army join krna hai na

Ira: Jab wo chaahe wo India waapas aa sakti hai

Rajveer: Pakaa ?

Randhir: Haan beta

Naina: Hum baat kaise karenge ? 

Rajveer: jab bhi mujhse baat krni ho taaron se baat krr lena....wo tumhaara message mujh tak pohcha denge

Naina took out a white handkerchief from the bag she was hanging and forwarded it to Rajveer

Rajveer: Yeh kya hai ?

Naina: Gift

Rajveer: prr gift kyu ?

Naina: Gift ke liye bahana chaahiye hota hai kya ? Iske corner prr tumhara naam likha hai

Rajveer immediately turned the handkerchief and found "RAJVEER" written on it with red thread

Rajveer: Yeh kaise kiya

Naina: Nani se seekha tha jab unke ghar gayi thi...isiliye jab baba ne btaya kii hum USA jaa rahe hai to tumhare liye yeh bnaaya

Rajveer: Apna haath aage bdaao

Naina: Kyu ?

Rajveer: Apna haath aage bdaao Nainu

He repeated. Naina forwarded her hand. Rajveer removed his wrist watch and gave it to her

Rajveer: Apna aur apne waqt ka khayaal rakhna

Naina: Tum bhi

They both looked at each other with longing and then turned to hide their tears. Naina ran to the car parked outside while Naveer and their parents shared a hug before going away.

Rajveer(Crying): Promise krr tu Nainu ka khayaal rakhega 

Naveer: Promise Veeru....promise

15 years later

A girl in early twenties enters the academy with determined eyes. Reaching the quadrangle she saluted the fire and proceeded to report the commandant of the academy. After her reporting she proceeded towards the yellow wall adorning the great martyr's pictures.

She was looking at each of the pic carefully when someone called her from behind

"Fresher ?"

Her heart skipped a beat with this voice....it was as if she had heard it somewhere....but where ? The question remained unanswered when the person presented the next question

"Naam ??"

She turned around slowly and found a handsome boy standing there looking at her with a questioning look

"Naina ah Singh"

She replied with a hint of hesitation....."Naina" this name clicked his mind....the name which means the world to him

"Naina ahh Singh...Interesting name"

He said with a wink.....they had to pause their talks bcs he saw Brig. Chandok approaching them

BC: Rajveer my boy.......meet Naina.....fresher hai....aur all India topper bhi....she has topped the entrance exams

Rajveer: Ohh....hello Naina

He said with a warm smile

BC: And Naina this is Rajveer Singh....last year cadet 

Naina: Hello sir

Rajveer: Please don't call me sir....Rajveer is fine

Soon the break for cadets ended and they dispersed.

1st year cadets were starting to leave after getting the instructions for the training being started from tomorrow when someone took out the watch from her pocket. In a sudden she turned and found Huda with the watch. The moment they had met he is irritating her with all those flirty lines and now he had crossed the line.

Huda: sadiyo purani bacho ki ghadi....isko apne saath kyu rakha hai phoolan

Naina: Mujhe meri watch de Huda

Huda: Chlo iss ghadi ke bahaane tunne meri taraf dekha to sahi

Naina: Huda last time bol rahi hu meri watch waapas krr de

Huda: Nahi krta....pehle pyaar se bol....aise dhamki sehena Huda ki personality ko suit nhi krta

Naina didn't take long before tangling and holding Huda captive on the ground with her taekwondo moves.

Naina: Dare you try to harm this watch Huda...Yeh watch mujhe jaan se pyaari hai....Don't even think about it

She shot a murderous look at him and went form there with the watch ignoring those amusing looks the whole KMA was giving her. Rajveer who was happening to pass from there too witnessed the scene and realization hit him....This watch...he recognized it....its the one he had given Naina....that means the girl he met....is none other than his Naina....girl he has always loved

It was time for lights out but Naina didnt bother about it. She sneaked out from her room and went near the pond under the stars.

Naina(looking at the stars): Tum kahaan ho Veer ? Mujhe tumhaari bohot yaad aa rahi hai....i really miss you....itne saal ho gye aur humne baat nhi kii...pehke to roz roz baat krte thhe na...kya tum mujhe bhool gye ho veer ? Maa Baba se roz baat krte ho....Naveen bhaiya se bhi baat krte ho prr mujhse kyu nhi ? Hmesha tab hii phone krte ho jab mai school mei hoti hu. Pta hai maine kabhi tumhari photo bhi nhi dekhi jab tum Maa Baba ko bhejte thhe...mujhe dar tha ki kaheen mai daud krr tumhare pass na aa jau....(she took the watch close to her heart)....I love you Veer

All this while when she was indulged in her talks for her Veer unknown to her Rajveer was listening to her with wet eyes being overwhelmed that his Nainu still lived him even after 15 years of no communication. He was afraid of loosing the command over his emotions and thus didnt talk to her or look at ger oics which Naveen used to send all this while. But he used to keep every tap on her through Maa Baba and Naveen. Later when he grew up he thought may be Naina would've forgotten him and moved on but the sight he witnessed today, the talks with stars and possessiveness for the watch he had given cleared all the miscellaneous thoughts from his mind. His Nainu loved him....he didnt want anything else

Rajveer took out the handkerchief made by Naina which he had protected all his life. He threw it near naina making sure she notices it.

Naina was sitting with eyes closed and tears dropping when she felt something touch her arm before falling on the ground. Naina looked up to her sides and found an old white cloth lying near her. She slowly forwarded her hand and picked that up. At first sight she found it similar...looking carefully she realized it was the same handkerchief she had gifted to her Veer. This just dropped here which means.....

Naina immediately stood up and started looking everywhere

Naina: Veer....Veer kahaa ho tum ?....tum yahaan prr ho na...mujhe pta hai....Please ab to saamne aa jao....15 saal door rahe hai....pls come to me Veer

"Nainu"

And thats when she heard someone calling her with the name which only her Veer had the privilege to call

"Veer"

She whispered and turned around to find Rajveer standing there

Rajveer(tears dropping): Nainu

Naina: Is it you Veer

Rajveer: I am sorry nainu...itne saalo baad tu mere saamne aayi aur mai tujhe pehchaan nhi paaya

"Veer"

She repeated trying to configure the happenings. Without wasting much time Naina ran and hugged him tightly trying to make self beleive that he actually is here with her.

Naina: I missed you Veer....I missed you so much

Rajveer: I missed you too Nainu....tu nhi jaanti roz kitna tadpa hu tujhse milne ke liye

After a brief moment of reconciliation he separated to have a clear look of her.
Rajveer cupped her face and kissed on her forehead. He joint their foreheads and with closed eyes he said

"I love you Nainu"

She blushed deeply at this.

"I love you too Veer"

Naina immediately hide herself in his arms trying not to show her blush but Rajveer had already seen it. Under the moonlight and reflection from the light falling on the water he saw her briefly.

Rajveer: Tu kitni badi ho gyi hai Nainu...last time jab dekha tha tu kitni chhoti sii thi....ab dekh kitni beautiful aur pyaari ho gyi hai....pehle se bhi zyada....bass teri wo chhoti si naak abhi bhi waise hai

He said teasing her inreturn to get light punches on his chest

Rajveer: hahahhaa abhi bhi waisi sherni hai tu haath pairr chlaane waali

Naina: Haan aur tum bhi to itne bade ho gaye....5'8 height ho gyi hai prr dimag aur harkatein abhi bhi wohi 9 saal waale Rajveer jaisi hai....mere Veer jaisi

She added lovingly

They were sitting near the pond under moonlight in eachother's arms. Hidden by a large tree so that no one notices them.

Rajveer: Ab mai tujhe kaheen nahi jaane dunga...hmesha apne saath rakhunga

Naina: Agar posting alag ho gyi to ?

Rajveer: Wo to desh ke liye hoga na...uske liye i can suffer....waise ek baat bta

Naina: Hmm

Rajveer: Tunne academy mei naam Naina Singh kyu rakha hai ? Poora naam kyu nhi ?

Naina: Achhaa....agar full name rakhungi na to koi mera true potential nhi dekhega...sabko lagega NRI buisnessman kii beti hai isiliye privileges mille

Rajveer: Smart Nainu...waise wo good for nothing Naveen kya karr rahaa aaj kal....academy ke phone se international call alowed nhi hai na uss se baat hi nhi hui

Naina: Tum mere bhaiya ko wo mtt bolo

Rajveer: achhaa yarr....ab bta to

Naina: Bhaiya Baba ke sath buisness mei hai

Rajveer: Ohh right....jab humne bachpan mei decide kiya tha army join krne ka to wo kaise saaf mna karta tha

Naina: Haan....pta hai mai KMA bhi na tumare liye aayi thi....mujhe pta tha training ke liye tum KMA aaoge lekin mujhe yeh nhi pta tha ki 1st day prr hii mill jaoge

Rajveer: Milta to aaj bhi nhi agar tu wo Huda ki band na bjaati watch ke liye....tunne abhi tak wo watch itna sambhal ke rakhi hai ?

Naina: Tumne dii thi to sambhal ke to rakhni rhi and itna suprised mtt pretend kro...tumne bhi to wo handkerchief sambhal ke rakha hai

Rajveer: Yeh bhi hai....lekin pta hai mujhe lagta tha ki mera pyaar ek tarfa hi reh jaayega....i thought ki badi ho krr you'll forget me

Naina: Aisa kabhi nahi ho sakta...never....yeh naina sirf Veer ki hai

Rajveer: Aur yeh Veer apni Nainu ka
