Don't Forget This

Here it is... The chapter that I've been waiting for!

Before you all start, there's something I like to say...

You know that thing that I talked about a while back? Of how Hana not going to be so innocent anymore?

Prepare yourselves for the end of this chapter...

Hye Ryung goes into attic looking for Hana to find her taking the mattress back out and putting some blankets on top of it.

"Hana? What are you doing?" She asks, walking over to the younger girl.

"I'm setting set up this place up again for Soosoo and me."

Hye Ryung thinks about the things Soo-ho told her about Nam brothers and worries about how it's affecting Hana. She decides not to say anything and kneels down, gently pushing her out the way.

"I'll set up the bed. You go deal with that other stuff." Hye Ryung says and grabs one of the pillows, beginning to fluff it. "By the way, if you want to talk about things you know that I'm here."

Hana stares at her best friend and slowly smiles before going to work on other things.

"You bastard! What's taking you so long?! Send the camcorder out!"

Hearing Tae-il's voice makes Soo-ho want to strangle the man knowing he was the cause of Il-sung's death.

"Fine. Send Hanna in..." Soo-ho then recalls Hana suggesting fried chicken for Eung Cheol. "Along with fifty fried chickens."

"What? Fried chicken? Wh... Oh! Hana loves that! Morons! Order fried chicken right now!"

Soo-ho opens the door that leads outside and lets Hanna and the delivery guy inside.

"You're good now." She says to the delivery guy as she closes the door. "You can take them off."

Soo-ho gives her a confused look then becomes shocked when the delivery guy takes off his hat and mask off, revealing it to be Hee Tae.

"Hwang Hee Tae?"

"So you do know me. Good." Hee Tae says when throwing his hat and mask on the ground. He smiles as he steps towards Soo-ho and goes to punch him but Soo-ho dodges it. "You dare dodge my punch! Hold still! I need payback for what you put my girls through!"

"Hee Tae! Are you crazy?!" She snaps, pushing Hee Tae back and steps between them both. "What do you think you're doing?!"

"Hanna, I warned you that I had a bone to pick with him! He deceived my little star!" Hee Tae snaps back and tries to get around her. "Lim Soo-ho! Fight me! I'll make sure that you're buried alive with me!"

"Hee Tae, enough already!" Hanna shouts and smacks the side of his head.

"Ow!"

Soo-ho sighs then taps the secret door with his gun. When Byung Tae and Gwang Tae come in, he gestures them to be quiet and take the bags fried chicken. After they leave, Kang Moo goes to stand in-between the secret door. She smiles but as she looks back and forth between him and Soo-ho, she bites her lip to stop herself from laughing.

"God. I can't get used to this. You're standing side by side with a spy... But I feel relieved."

"...Now that you're done feeling relieved can I continue with beating him to a pulp?" Hee Tae glares at Soo-ho, ignoring the glare he receives from her.

"Who is this?" Kang Moo asks, looking at Hee Tae with a raised eyebrow.

"Hwang Hee Tae. Medical student. Grew up Nam Hana and Go Hye Ryung. Also Hana's first fan!" Hee making Soo-ho sigh.

"He's been helping me out there so in return I got him in here." Hanna adds.

"Hee Tae. I can understand that you don't like me, and I agree that I deserved a punch. I deserve worse but I think that you need to know something about Hana and I... She and I have patched things up and are continuing our relationship. So I don't think she would be too happy with you knowing that you punched me which is why I dodged it." Soo-ho informs Hee Tae, shocking the latter. "Just talk to Hana and try to understand her feelings."

Soo-ho bows and takes his leave leaving an stunned Hee Tae as well as an amused Hanna and Kang Moo.

"...What... What's been going on in here while I was out there?!" Hee Tae yells, chasing after Soo-ho.

"Lim Soo-ho! Did you corrupt my Hana?! Answer me!" As Hee Tae walks after Soo-ho who ignores him, and he is suddenly enveloped in a hug. "Wh...?"

He glances at a smiling Soo-ho before looking down to see it's Hana who is hugging him.

"I get why you never told me. I know everything but let's talk about it later." Hana says, surprising Hee Tae. She smiles as her eyes glisten with tears. "I've missed you, Beany."

Before he can reply, a shoe is suddenly thrown at his head.

"Ow!"

"Hwang Hee Tae!" A voice shouts, making the men look up to see Hye Ryung at top of the stairs. "You really think I'd be more worried about my outfit than my life, you punk?!"

"Hye Ryung..."

She hurries down the stairs and joins the hug.

"Yah. What did I tell you?" He laughs as he also becomes emotional. "I said that I would sell the next shoe you threw at me."

"Sell any of my shoes and you'll get eighty punches! Ow!" Hye Ryung pulls back from the hug to give Hana a glare. "Why did you pinch me?!"

"Stop being mean to Hee Tae!" Hana yells and sticks her tongue out.

Young Ro arrives wondering what all the ruckus is about and her eyes widened seeing her longtime crush in the dorm.

"Hee-Hee Tae?!"

The trio look at Young Ro and Hee Tae gives her his biggest smile. He hurries down the stairs to give her a hug. Young Ro begins blushing and glares at her twin who wiggles her eyebrows. Hana giggles and gasps seeing who is standing by Soo-ho. She rushes over to her boyfriend and two older adults.

"It's you! My role model!" Hana squeals as she stands in front of Hanna.

Hanna laughs at Hana's excitement. "Hello, little one. We'll finally get to have a conversation."

"Wait a minute, since when was she your role model?" Kang Moo asks in an amused tone.

"Because our names are almost the same. She's cool and she can be my new partner-in-crime!"

"I'm sure dealing with your mischievousness is enough. You want to add more to everyone's plate?" Kang Moo chuckles and ruffles her hair.

"Why are you dressed like that?" Hye Ryung asks standing by Hee Tae and Young Ro.

"I had to sneak in here some way, didn't I? Oh... Hey, Hana. Do you smell anything in the air?" Hee Tae asks with a grin and she nods.

"Smell?" She tilts her head, confused. She then starts sniffing making the others amused. Her eyes widened in realization and gasps. She then turns back to her boyfriend. "Soosoo! Where's the butthead?!"

"Is every male that you come across a butthead to you?" Kang Moo asks.

"Umm..." She glances at Soo-ho and giggles. "Every guy except Soosoo!"

"Hold on!" Hee Tae walks over to the group and gives Hana a stern look while pointing at Soo-ho. "Nam Hana... Did you really-"

He is cut off when Hye Ryung grabs the back of his collar and drags him with her to where everyone else is.

"Don't ask any questions right now. You'll get an explanation next time. Let's go eat." She says as she drags him with her.

"Let me go! I want answers now! How could-" He is shut up when Young Ro covers his mouth.

"Sorry, Hee Tae." Young Ro says with an apologetic smile making his eyes widened. "I'm on my twin's side. How can I go against her?"

His protests and complaints are muffled and continues to be dragged away.

"Hmm? What's up with them?" Hana watches them with a curious look then shrugs. "Soosoo, where's Eung Cheol?"

"He's in the back of the prayer room keeping an eye on Comrade Joo and Comrade Kang." He answers as he gently cups her cheek.

"Okay! I'll go get him!" She smiles and looks at Hanna who wraps her arm around the younger girl's shoulders.

"I'll go with you, little one. Let's have us some girl talk on the way there." The older woman says with a smirk and they take their leave.

"Hey! Don't you tell her any embarrassing stories about me!" Kang Moo shouts.

"No promises!" Hanna teases her fiancé.

"I swear that woman..." Kang Moo mutters before looking back at Soo-ho. "How is she doing?"

Soo-ho sighs. "She just wants to take her mind off it for now... She's doesn't know what to do knowing the man that she called her father all this time had done such a despicable act towards his own family."

Inside the ANSP tent, Chang-su, Tae-il, Gyeong-hui watch the tv to see recorded footage of the hostages eating fried chicken and sending messages to their parents.

"Young Ro. Hana. You guys should say something too."

"I'm Eun Young Ro, an English literature major and freshman from Room 207." Young Ro says and pulls Hana next to her.

Tae-il laughs as he sees Hana's cheeks puffed as her mouth is stuffed with fried chicken. She quickly chews and swallows.

"I'm Nam Hana, an acting major and freshman. Also from Room 207."

"Abeoji, all of us are doing well in the dorm. We can't complain. But everyone wants to get out of here. And me too. I also want to get out badly. We can get out of here safely, right? When we get out of here, we'll be able to go home safely, right? Right, abeoji?" Young Ro says with a small smile.

"All I ask for is for everyone to be okay and be allowed to return home."  Hana adds and gives a bow. "Now excuse me, I got a date with fried chicken."

"That girl and her priorities." Tae-il laughs again that soon fades when the camera lands on a tied-up Chung-ya. "Oh no. She looks all haggard now. Poor Dr. Kang. Darn it..."

Hana, Seol Hui and Eung Cheol sit in the lounge, the table set with bags of fried chicken.

"Oh...my...god... What...have...I...been...missing?" He asks between bites.

"See?!" Hana takes a bite out of her fried chicken. "Fried chicken...will...change...your...life!"

"Hanny, you're getting the chicken all over your skirt!" Seol Hui complains as she cleans her best friend's skirt.

"Instead of cleaning me up, how about you go clean Eung Cheol up?" Hana whispers with a smirk.

"Hanny!" Seol Hui's eyes widened and smacks Hana's arm.

"It's...the...most...beautiful...thing...I've...seen...in...my...life." He continues talking between bites and eventually swallows. "You were right! It's making me feel so much better!"

Hana takes another bite. "It's...the...special...cure!"

"You two don't talk with your mouths full." Soo-ho says as he walks in.

"But sir!" Eung Cheol drops the bone and grabs another piece, taking a bite out of it. These Southern guys... Their fried chicken is..." He hums in delight.

"Eung Cheol..." Hana sniffles. "I think... I think this is the start...of a beautiful friendship!"

Hana puts her hand out for a handshake which Eung Cheol accepts. Soo-ho and Seol Hui glance at each other with amused looks before he walks over to Hana, grabbing a napkin off the table and wipes her mouth.

"Want to help me talk some sense into Gyeok-chan?" Soo-ho asks, crouching down next to his girl.

"He's still being stubborn?" He nods. "Fine! I'll convince him with fried chicken! Eung Cheol make sure you eat until you're full! But don't make yourself sick!"

Hana grabs another piece for herself as she picks up a bag and quickly leaves the room with her chuckling boyfriend following after her. Eung Cheol offers Seol Hui chicken and she accepts it with a shy smile.

"An influential spy like you must be confident that the party will never abandon you." Kang Moo says to Chung-ya as he crouches down next to her.

"Of course not... I'll be abandoned eventually." She speaks, showing no emotion.

"...Defect to the South, then the ANSP will protect you. If you want, they'll give you a new identity and you can continue to be a doctor."

"...For that to happen, the opposition party must win." She replies with a smug look.

"If we can let people know this hostage situation is a scheme for the election, we stand a chance." He says when going to take a seat. "Besides, it's not a rigged election anymore. People go vote themselves. The transfer of power. It's possible." Neither her or Gyeok-chan still budge. "All those revolutions and missions... Don't you want to live...freely without them?"

"...Can I have a cup of coffee?"

Gyeok-chan looks at his comrade with a shocked expression as Kang Moo as she chooses to side with the enemy.

"What are you doing, Comrade Kang? Are you betraying our country too?" Gyeok-chan questions her as she is being untied by Kang Moo.

She takes her leave with him, ignoring Gyeok-chan's calls towards her.

"Comrade- Ow!" Gyeok-chan looks next to him to see a glaring Hana.

"Why are you being such a butthead?!" She takes the bag and puts it to his nose. "Will this convince you?"

"Hana. Food is not going to make me change my mind." He says with an annoyed look making her gasp.

"Not even fried chicken?! Wh... But... I... You..." She pinches him again making him complain. "Look here! Did you forget what my appa wanted? He wanted you to live, remember?! To not throw your life away for nothing! If not for the fried chicken, then at least for him! I know you don't like hearing it, but your country isn't going to help you anymore! But my appa? He didn't care that you were from the North! He didn't turn his back on you, did he?!"

"Comrade Joo." Soo-ho speaks making the two look up at him. "She's right. We have to stay alive and get back to our families. Join us... We owe it to Il-sung. We only got this far in life because of him... We shouldn't let his sacrifice be in vain."

Gyeok-chan looks back at Hana and reminisces his moments with Il-sung.

"Damn it..." Gyeok-chan lets out a big sigh. "My superior believed that you would commit treason. If I sensed any change in your ideology, I was to kill you... I was also ordered to kill Hana."

Hearing those words not only shock Hana but sets something off in Soo-ho and he grabs Gyeok-chan's collar, pushing him back into the wall.

"What did you just say? What the hell are you talking about?" Soo-ho snarls.

"Somehow my superior knew that the three hundred million belonged to Hana. If I were to ever cross paths with her, I was to kill her so that the deal could go smoothly. But do you honestly think that I could knowing who she was?"

"...Who ordered you?"

"...The Deputy Director of Ministry of State Security. Choi Soo Ryeon."

It's like everything stops for Soo-ho once he hears that name. His hand slowly let's go of Gyeok-chan's collar and drops back down to his side. He takes a few steps back from his comrade and suddenly sheds a tear. He leaves feeling lost and broken, confusing Gyeok-chan to why he's acting that way.

"Gyeok-chan." Hana says making him look back at her. "Soo Ryeon...is Soo-ho's mother." She reveals, shocking him.

"W-What? No. How is that possible? She's the-"

"Soo-ho told me about her once. She abandoned her children for her career... All this time the one who you followed orders from was his own mother?" She sniffles and wipes her eyes as they glisten with tears. She then unties him. "We'll talk more about this tomorrow. I have to go check on Soo-ho. Make sure you eat this, okay?"

She hurries after Soo-ho as Gyeok-chan watches her leave. He leans his head back against the wall, sighing in frustration.

Hana sees Soo-ho heading up to fourth floor and before she can call out to him, her mother comes up to her.

"Eomma."

"Hana..." Seung Hee places her hands on Hana's shoulders while giving her a sad expression. "Are you sure about him? You know who he is and what he does. There's a chance that he could end up dying. Even if he doesn't, how will you be able to live a life with him if Nam Tae-il or anyone from the ANSP doesn't kill him first? Or even if he does get away, who's to say that you'll ever see him again? I'm only telling you this because your father and I's story ended tragically... I don't want the same happening to you."

"...I understand but you don't need to worry." Hana reassures Seung Hee with a smile. "Soo-ho and I made promises to each other, and we don't intend to break them. Even if things don't go the way that we want, at least I chose to stick with my beliefs to the very end."

Seung Hee sighs and rolls her eyes. "Just like your father." She mutters making her daughter giggle. "Go on."

Hana finally reaches the roof to see Soo-ho leaning against the wall. She goes over to him and grabs his hand, surprising him. Before he can get a word in, she pulls with him until they arrive in the attic, and both sit on the mattress. He looks around the attic, reminiscing their time together while he was hiding there from the ANSP. His eyes land on their paper airplanes and a small smile forms on his face.

"You became a secret agent because of my appa, right?" He nods. "...If you didn't take up such a dangerous job, you wouldn't being going through all this."

"...We were born as Lee Tae-san and Lee Tae-ran. You already know about how my eomma abandoned our family for her career. My appa died trying to save other people when the mine collapsed and my samchon also died as he was one of those who attempted to assassinate the president. After Nam Il-sung saved us, my sister and I crossed paths with Lim Ji-rok. I begged him to give us a ride to Pyongyang and to save my sister who was sick at the time... That's when he became our adoptive father. I didn't know what to expect from him but surprisingly he was kind and always made sure we were taken care of." He takes her hand in his, gently rubbing her fingers with his thumb. "Because of what your father had done for us and to repay my adoptive father for taking us in, I wanted to become a solider. To protect the one most precious to me... If I hadn't took the job, I never would have gotten to meet you and gain another precious person."

She suddenly feels something wet on her hand and realizes that he's crying.

"Not only did she abandon her children, she even tried to not only have me killed but you as well... Does she really have to be so cruel?"

She wraps her arms around him, bringing him towards her so that he can rest his head on her shoulder. She just remains quiet, allowing him to get it all out. About ten minutes later, he pulls away and she wipes his tears away.

"Soosoo." He watches her as she picks up Young Ro's coffee maker. "The time has come... You're having the special coffee that makes you forget the bad things. We both need it after everything that's happened. Roro was kind enough to let us borrow it. And she said to make sure you forget what you did to her too."

He stares at her until he starts laughing.

"Why are you laughing? It's true! I forgot that one time I rode my bike and ended up in the fountain!" She soon realizes what she said and covers her mouth. "Oh shoot! Forget I said that!"

He laughs even more making her pout. After she gets the coffee made, they both have their cups in the hands.

"Hmm... Ooh, I got one! When I passed out in front of you that one time we went to a haunted house." She says and drinks her coffee, making him laugh again. "Soosoo, I erased it! Why are you laughing?!"

"Because I didn't forget." He replies with a grin, after calming down from his laughter.

"...Then drink it and erase it now." She smiles, pointing at his cup.

"I don't want to." He refuses, still grinning. "It was so cute how you got angry and almost punched that clown for scaring you. That's too good of a memory to forget."

"You..." She pouts. "Well then forget that time I called you attractive!"

"Nope."

"What?! Forget that time I told you I was sick, and you caught me at the store buying butterscotch!"

"Oh yeah and it turned out that you weren't sick. You just had a very cute pimple on your cute nose... How can I forget that? You were so adorable."

"Soosoo!" She whines making him laugh once more. "Well forget something, dang it!"

"...I broke your heart and the others' trust... I said horrible things... I even pointed a gun at Young Ro and Hye Ryung." He takes a sip of his coffee. "I erased those memories."

She takes another sip. "I erased them too!"

He gives a smile and puts down his cup before taking hers and putting it next to his. He takes her hands in his and gives her a loving gaze.

"...Don't forget this."

He goes in for a kiss, wrapping his arms around her waist, bringing her closer to him. After a minute he begins to pull away, but she stops him from going away too far away.

"Umm, Sooho-ssi? I... I... I want to... You know..." She murmurs while blushing.

His eyes widened realizing what she means. "...Are you sure?"

She nods and musters up the courage to bring him back in for another kiss. As their kisses become more passionate, he moves his hands to her shoulders and begins to pull her sweater down from her shoulders but slowly in case she changes her mind. Once her sweater is completely off, he pulls away to give her a chance to stop him. When she doesn't, he takes off his shirt and gives her a gentle kiss before trailing his kisses down her neck as he gently pushes her back to lie on the bed...

And you know what happens next...

That's all you getting. I'm gone!

Bonus Scene

Five years ago

"Hana! Get off that bike right now! You're terrible at riding bikes!" Hye Ryung shouts chasing after her.

"No! I need to practice- Oh! Wait! Please cooperate bike! Oh! No!"

Next thing they know, Hana ends up in the fountain making her best friends gasp... Then she comes back up for air and gives them a thumbs up.

"I'm okay!"

"YAH! Are you insane?!" Hye Ryung shouts, running over to help her.

"I'll go get some towels!" Young Ro tells them and hurries towards Hye Ryung's home, only to almost bump into Hee Tae at the gate.

"You must be Young Ro. Hana told me all about you. I'm Hee Tae." He says with a big smile.

"I...uh... Hello..." Young Ro speaks quietly, shyly looking away.

Hana sniffs the air. "Teddy... Is that love at first sight that I'm smelling? Ow! Why did you flick me?!"

Hana's whines catch Hee Tae's attention as he looks behind Young Ro.

"Little star?" His eyes widened. "What are you doing in that fountain?! Are you trying to get sick?!"

Hee Tae drops his gifts on the ground and runs over to help the girls not noticing Young Ro's gaze towards him.

The moment our eyes met; my heart began to pound

I always wondered what it felt like to fall in love at first sight

And that's when I knew
