"...Are you sure that we shouldn't burn them or something? Isn't that the best way to get rid of the evidence?" Hana asks about Soo-ho's clothes while frowning.

"We can't do something like that in the dorm! It's best to let Man Dong handle it." Hye Ryung tells her.

"What if Bun Ok is plotting to get back at Hana?" Seol Hui says in a worried tone after hearing about what had happened between Hana, Hye Ryung and Bun Ok.

"We need to hurry and get rid of it. She's likely checked the invitation tickets after seeing Soo-ho. She'll realize that he never came in through the entrance. She would be suspicious." Jeongmin says.

"This is driving me crazy. She must have told Ms. Pi." Hye Ryung adds and notices Hana eating a butterscotch. "What's wrong with you? You just had fried chicken and two butterscotch's after that would be enough for you. But that's your eighth butterscotch, meaning that you're really upset about something, and I know it's not about gizzard."

"...Darn. She knows me too well." Hana mumbles and puts the rest of her butterscotch candy back in her secret stash. 

They all suddenly hear the girls in the other rooms say good night to Ms. Pi meaning it's time for roll call. They all get up in time just before Ms. Pi arrives. Bun Ok stands by the door, glaring at the girls. After taking a couple of glances, she is about to take her leave until she suddenly stops.

"Hana."

"Yes, ma'am!" Hana jumps a bit from her name being called.

"...Is something wrong? You seem about upset something." Ms. Pi asks 

"N-no..." Hana answers but the look she gets from the older woman, makes her give in. She nervously glances at the others before looking back at Ms. Pi. "...My boyfriend is going back to Germany soon." She answers, making her roommates give her shocked looks.

"...Don't focus on him. Just focus on studying and passing your exam. Understood?"

"Yes, ma'am." Hana answers, sadly.

Ms. Pi nods before taking her leave. 

"Say goodnight." Jeongmin tells her dormmates.

"Goodnight, ma'am."

After Ms. Pi and Bun Ok leave, Hana goes to close the door and looks back at the girls who look to her for an explanation.

"Hana... What do you mean Soo-ho is going back to Germany?" Young Ro asks in a shaky tone.

"Umm... There's a chance that we might not see Soo-ho again. He's likely going back to Germany for about three to four years. He wanted me to tell you all he's sorry that couldn't say goodbye." Hana sadly informs her friends.

"...WHAT?!" Hye Ryung screams.

"Oppa's leaving?!" Seol Hui asks almost on the verge of tears.

"Why didn't he tell us this before?!" Jeongmin asks in an angry tone.

"I guess he just didn't know how to..." Hana answers, trying to hold back her tears.

"That damn bastard!" Hye Ryung yells.

As soon as Hana sheds a tear, Young Ro goes to hug her. Hana silently cries into her shoulder.

The next day, Hana, Hye Ryung and Hee Tae are back to having breakfast together at their usual place but are also joined by Young Ro, Seol Hui and Jeongmin.

"Yah, Hye Ryung... Why are you stabbing those pancakes like that? What did they ever do to you?" Hee Tae asks.

"I'm imagining that it's someone." Hye Ryung mutters and starts viciously cutting into the pancakes.

"Why must the men you date become your victims? I'll end up having a lot of patients because of you."

"It's not someone she's dating." Seol Hui speaks in a quavering voice.

Hee Tae sighs when he looks at the girls who are all in a gloomy mood. Hana gets an idea and looks at Hee Tae.

"...Is there something you like to say?" Hee Tae asks Hana who is wiggling her eyebrows.

"Now that you've asked, I would." Hana clears her throat, amusing Hee Tae. "Roro brought back a big teddy bear to our room last night. My teddy bear got a twin, but I realized something more important... That you won it for her." Hana says with an amused smirk, making Young Ro blush.

"How could I come to the event and not win her a prize? You would have pinched me so many times if I didn't." Hee Tae says and tickles Hana's stomach, making her laugh.

"I think Hee Tae was having too much fun with the paintball game." Young Ro tells her and giggles.

"...I think that's because it reminded him of the revenge that he got against Teddy seven years ago." Hana giggles from the memory.

"Ooh, I wanna hear this!" Jeongmin says excitedly, dropping her fork down on the plate, making the others except Hye Ryung laugh. "Please do share."

"So, I was still in middle school at the time while they were in high school. So, you know that Hye Ryung has a huge male fanbase." The girls nod. "Well, one time Hee Tae saw Hye Ryung running from some of those males of the fanbase. He saved her but she also ended up in the hospital for being clumsy."

"Yah! I only ended up there because this darn punk grabbed me!" Hye Ryung shouts, pointing at Hee Tae.

"And you thanked your savior by beating him up in the hospital?" Hana asks with a raised eyebrow.

"Why..." Hye Ryung gets up from her seat and puts her hands on her hips. "Why do you always take his side?"

"You beat a poor defenseless man who only tried to help you in your desperate time of need! How could I not take his side?" Hana exclaims making Hye Ryung's jaw drop.

"Wait is that why he got revenge by throwing paintballs at unnie?!" Seol Hui asks with a surprised look.

"I didn't throw them at her. I threw around her." Hee Tae corrects her.

"And I got splattered with paint! You ruined my outfit!" Hye Ryung shouts and kicks his leg.

"Ow!" Hee Tae rubs his leg and glares at her. "Gosh, I can't believe that you're engaged. Hey, if you keep acting like this then Byung Tae will likely back out of the wedding. No man will want to marry you."

"What did you just say?!" Hye Ryung kicks him again.

"Yah, stop kicking me!"

Hana watches her friends laugh at the two bickering and smiles having accomplished putting the girls back in a cheerful mode.

Young Ro, Jeongmin and Seol Hui have headed back to the dorm while Hana and Hye Ryung wait for Hee Tae as he went to go pay.

"Yah. Why aren't you upset about him?" Hye Ryung asks Hana in an annoyed tone.

"I was but... He wouldn't want me to be sad. He did promise that he would come back for me." Hana holds up the hand with the promise ring. "I can wait for him."

"Tsk... Why can't you ever just get mad and break something?" Hye Ryung rolls her eyes and gets up. "I'm going to the bathroom."

"I know you're going to miss him! It's okay to admit it!" Hana calls out to Hye Ryung as she leaves the table.

Hana giggles and when she looks out the restaurant's window, she smiles when she sees the shop owner who gave her the snow globe waving at her. She waves back and gestures for her to come in.

"Ajumma." Hana stands up and bows before the older woman. "Take a seat."

"Thank you, dear but this won't take long. I'm glad that I saw you as I was passing by." The shop owner goes into her purse and takes out a bag of butterscotch candy and a cassette tape. "Your secret admirer stopped by again and asked me to give you these. It's his thank you for the butterscotch. As for the tape, he says you'll understand once you listen to it. Now I have to get going. You take care of yourself, okay?"

"You too. Thank you, ajumma!" Hana waves goodbye as the shop owner takes her leave. She then smiles at the items she got. "He paid for my snow globe and gives me a whole bag of butterscotch? Soosoo is going to be even more jealous!" She giggles and then looks at the tape. "I'll understand once I listen to it, huh? Hmm..."

As Hana puts the items in her purse, a young man suddenly sits down next to Hana with a smirk and holds out his hand.

"I couldn't happen to help but overhear you and your friends earlier. I also noticed you were that Hee Tae was with you all. Are you Nam Hana? I'm Ahn Hyun. Our parents are close so I'm surprised that we never met."

"...Please tell me that our parents didn't set us up together." Hana asks with a frightened look, afraid her parents have lied to her.

"Oh, they were going to, but your parents called it off for some reason." He answers and puts his hand down, allowing her to let out a breath of relief. "Could you explain as to why?"

"Ah, yes. I already have a boyfriend and we've been together for six months so... I'm not on the market." She answers with a small laugh.

"Ah, I see... Well, that's a relief." He replies with a small laugh as well. "I mean you are nice on the eyes but why would my dad set me up with you? You're not even their real daughter."

"...What?"

"Oh... Did you not know that? I thought you knew that you were adopted. I-" He says, feeling embarrassed until suddenly water is poured all over him. "Yah! What the hell?!"

This act causes him to become angry and stand up to face an emotionless Hee Tae.

"Hee-Hee Tae!" Ahn Hyun is startled, taking a step back from the man.

Hana hurriedly gets up from her seat and runs out of the restaurant.

"What's going on?" Hye Ryung asks as she returns.

"You're still such a shameless bastard." Hee Tae takes out his wallet and drops the money on the table. "Use this to get dry-cleaned. And Ahn Hyun? Fix that damn mouth of yours otherwise no woman will ever want to date let alone marry you."

"Why did she just run out of here? Who is this punk?"

"Hana!" Hee Tae calls out to Hana, running after her.

"Would you mind explaining to me on what the hell is going on?!" Hye Ryung demands an answer, following after him.

Hana rushes into her parents' home and finds her mother in the living room.

"Hana! This is such an expected visit! Why didn't you tell me you were coming? Don't you have classes today?" Seong-sim smiles and walks over to her daughter.

"...Eomma."

"Did you get the fried chicken? Yesterday went very well. I taught that wench a thing or two about laying a hand on my sweet angel who was only protecting her friend." Seong-sim says while gently caressing Hana's hair. "Your father was also very angry when I told him about what had happened. He shared some words with your friend's father and-"

"Eomma... Am I adopted?" Hana asks in a quavering voice.

Seong-sim's hands stop caressing Hana's hair, and she stares at her with a shocked look.

"Who... Who told you that?" Seong-sim asks, trying to keep her voice from shaking.

"Why didn't you answer with yes or no?" Hana takes a step back from her mother. "Why are you answering me with a question? Is it true?"

"Hana." Seong-sim swallows nervously. "Why don't we-"

Before Seong-sim can continue, Hee Tae and Hye Ryung arrive. Seong-sim then glares at Hee Tae.

"Hee Tae, what did you tell her?!" Seong-sim yells at him.

"...It wasn't even him. We were having breakfast with my friends and Ahn Hyun showed up." Hana tells her mother whose eyes widened. "You were going to set me up with a guy of your choosing behind my back again but apparently you called it off. That made me feel relieved until he mentioned that I'm not even your real daughter... So, it's true."

"Hana." Hee Tae is about to walk over to her but stops when she looks at him with tearful eyes.

"Hee Tae...you knew?" She asks, her voice cracking.

"It's not true, okay?" Seong-sim places her hands on Hana's shoulders. "You are my child. Don't believe what anyone else tells you."

"But the way that you're acting and talking is telling me a different thing!" Hana yells, shoving Seong-sim's hands off of her. "So not only have you tried to find me a husband who would up this family's status, I wasn't even your real daughter to begin with! I was just a tool to you and Nam Tae-il this whole time!"

Hana runs out of the house and Hye Ryung chases after her.

"Hana! Sweetie, please come back!" Seong-sim attempts to go after her as well, but Hee Tae stops her by grabbing her arm.

"You shouldn't have accused me. How could I tell her? You know that I wouldn't be able to. If she knew the truth about what Tae-il did, do you think she would be able to hand it?" He asks with an look of anger.

Outside once Hana is far away from the house, she slowly comes to a stop and lowers her head, continuing her cries...

Flashback

"Appa! Eomma!" A young Hana runs into her father's arms. "Was I good?"

"Good?" Tae-il laughs as he lifts his daughter up into his arms. "My precious daughter was amazing!"

"You were the biggest star up on that stage! No one else compared to you!" Seong-sim says with a big smile.

Hana shakes her head. "I think everyone else did a good job too! I don't deserve all the spotlight!"

"How is our sweet child such an angel?" Seong-sim lightly pinches Hana's cheek. "It's like you didn't get a thing from me or your father."

"Yep... Are you sure we're related?" Hana begins laughing as her parents start tickling her.

End of Flashback

Hana's cries worsen and she slowly lowers herself down to take a seat on the sidewalk.

"Soosoo... I really miss you. I wish you were here right now..."

"Hana!" Hye Ryung calls out to her, running over to her and bringing her into her arms. "It's okay. It's going to be okay."

Hye Ryung sees Hee Tae coming towards them and she shakes her head, making him stop in his steps.

"Give her some time. Try talking to her tomorrow. I'll take her back to the dorms." She silently mouths to him.

He stops himself from showing a hurt look and gives her a nod.

After returning to the dorms, Bun Ok steps in front of them with a smirk.

"You two were late for your..." Bun Ok stops herself and frowns when she sees Hana's red eyes and puffy face, knowing the younger girl had been crying. "What happened?"

"It's none of your damn business and don't act like you care. Now get out of our way." Hye Ryung snaps at the older girl.

"Ms. Pi needs you both in her office. Your roommates are already there." Bun Ok informs her still looking at Hana while hiding her concern.

"Has Hana received any phone calls today? Answer me quickly, I'm not in the mood." Hye Ryung demands.

"No." Bun Ok answers, making Hana feeling more sadder.

"Why hasn't the damn bastard called yet?" Hye Ryung mutters, bringing Hana along with her.

Hye Ryung continues to hold Hana close to her as they go into the hall director's office. Everyone looks at them and gives Hana looks of concern. Hana looks down at the floor to avoid their gazes.

"Has she been crying? What happened?" Jeongmin asks, shocked to see Hana's state.

"Hana, your mother called and she was extremely worried. I will call her back to let her know that you alright." Ms. Pi informs her but doesn't receive a reply. 

"Ma'am, I don't want to sound rude but what is this about? Can we hurry and..."

Hye Ryung's eyes widened when she sees Young Ro on her knees and in front of her is Soo-ho's clothes and Young Ro's backpack.

"Young Ro already explained. I understand she was looking out for Hana and her boyfriend but... What if he's a spy and not a protester?" Ms. Pi questions the girls. "Only Young Ro will be leaving the dorm. She confessed to everything. But for the rest of you? Yeo Jeongmin, Go Hye Ryung and Yoon Seol Hui. You three won't be allowed anymore phone calls from outside. Nam Hana, the only calls that you will receive are from your parents."

"No, she's lying. I helped hide him too. He's my boyfriend, I wanted to protect him. Please don't kick her out." Hana begs, nearly crying again.

"Hana." Hye Ryung tries to calm her down.

"I was hiding him back in the bathhouse that day and then I moved him to the attic! Just punish me!" Hana exclaims.

"Ma'am, don't listen to her! It was all my idea!" Young Ro sheds a tear from Hana's outburst.

"Let me go!" Hana screams as Hye Ryung and Jeongmin tries to calm her down and begin dragging her out of the office. "It's not true! It's not true! She's lying!"

As soon as they're outside the office, Hye Ryung leaves Hana to Jeongmin and Seol Hui's care and walks up to Bun Ok. 

"It was you, wasn't it?" Hye Ryung asks in a low tone but the anger in her eyes is very clear.

Young Ro comes out of the office and hurries over to them.

"Unnie, please calm down."

The other girls of the dorm watch the scene with curious and worried eyes. 

"What's going on? What happened to Hana? She looks so upset." One of the girls' whispers.

"Did Bun Ok steal again? Or do something worse?" Another girl whispers.

"Did you see me do it? Did you? Do you look down on me because I'm a telephone operator? Who do you think you are? You are nothing better than me that being born into a rich family!" Bun Ok yells at Hye Ryung.

"So that's why you pretended to be a college student and went on a blind date with us?"

Bun Ok scoffs. "You must be so upset that you won't get any calls from a stupid girl who pretends to be a college girl. Well thanks to that, I'll have less work."

"What about Hana? Look at her. Did she ever look down on you because you weren't a college girl, huh? You had to snitch because her boyfriend didn't show not a bit of interest in you? As the dorm's angel, she always makes sure everyone is looking after themselves and spoils everyone more than herself. Didn't she always make sure that you ate and take care of you if you ever got sick? She always shared her snacks with you. And didn't she get you that dress you wore on the  date as a birthday present? This is why I'm tired of people like you always taking advantage of my girl and then start playing the victim. I warned you that I wouldn't hold back anymore, you crazy bitch!"

Hye Ryung grabs Bun Ok's hair and starts to pull on it.

"Unnie!" Young Ro yells, grabbing Hye Ryung's arm.

"I know what you did! Stop lying, you wench!" Hye Ryung yells.

"Do you have a death wish?! You crazy bitch!" Bun Ok retaliates.

Jeongmin and Seol Hui step in to help Young Ro separate the two. Then a door slams of all a sudden and everyone looks to Ms. Pi staring at them with a stern look. Hye Ryung pushes Bun Ok over the desk and leaves the area.

"Umm... Where's Hana?" Seol Hui asks, breaking the silence.

Everyone even Ms. Pi looks around to see Hana gone.

A crying Hana sits on a bench thinking about the events of the day. Feeling betrayed by her parents and that Hee Tae kept such a huge secret from her. Upset over Bun Ok's actions to get them in trouble. Also feeling guilty that her twin is being kicked out and the others being punished all because they were looking out for her and Soo-ho. And how Soo-ho has still yet to call her... As it suddenly begins to snow, an umbrella is soon placed over her. She looks up to see a young man.

"...I thought you might want this back." Her eyes widened when she recognizes it as her favorite umbrella. "It's nice to see you again. I'm Joo Gyeok-chan."

That big reveal I told you all about it is finally here. Poor Hana... It was so hard writing this chapter. So yeah, Hana is adopted. How did I handle it? It was very challenging for me how to reveal it. I thought it was best for Hana to find out now because I couldn't come up with an idea of how it would be revealed during the hostage situation. But there are still more secrets to reveal!

So, if you realized, Ahn Hyun is Ahn Gyeong-hui's son but just a made-up character. I they mentioned they them having kids or a son at least. And this will be the only time you'll be seeing him so don't worry. Now that scene was a bit more Youth of May inspired! We love a protective Hee Tae!

So, somebody did call it! Gyeok-chan is the umbrella guy! I did consider on waiting to reveal it later but I didn't see a way I could do that. Now I'm a bit surprised that no one has done a love triangle book yet. I'm not sure if mine will be like that because Soo-ho is the main guy of course. Gyeok-chan will develop feelings for our girl...or maybe he already has? Now I hate Gyeok-chan but I can't have him being violent towards Hana to which is why I'm going in this direction.

Hye Ryung going after Bun Ok, I loved her for that. She was a real one. Still one of the best scenes in the show.
