The akatsuki members are now all packing up to get ready to move to their new home after Naruto had announced she has almost finished building the village with the help of her clones, Naruto went around helping them seal things into storage scrolls before she disappeared. It has been about half a year since she has arrived in the akatsuki hideout and everyone had warmed up to her quickly. They were still getting use to the idea of seeing, not hearing mind you, Itachi talk so much with someone. Just last night Itachi had sat at the dining table with Naruto and he was the one doing the talking whilst Naruto went through stacks of documents. Occasionally, the two would suddenly laugh or smile about something either had said. The both seem to be exchanging what had happened while they went their separate ways. Once Naruto was talking about something, her hand crackled with a little lightning and then a small ball of chakra appeared for a brief moment before it disappeared and was replaced by lightning before she thruster her hand forwards and allowed the chakra to die down, she was also gesturing to a part of her chest where they knew she had been chidori-ed by her ex-bestfriend Sasuke. She was probably retelling the story to Itachi about what Sasuke did. Itachi had almost made a few gestures once or twice when talking and they had never knew that he was one for gesturing.
Itachi surprising hadn't disappeared with her. They were all finished with packing and just waiting for her to come back to give them directions to head to Ushiogakure. They knew she had re-established the landscape so the village could stay hidden while she worked on it. "Yo." Tobi jumped and let out a shriek but didn't go as far as running around like a complete idiot screaming, which was a big improvement. Naruto stood behind him, hair in a messy bun with senbons sticking in and out of it. Naruto had been very tempted to cut everything off and pretend to be a boy again but Konan had tied her down and gave a long lecture about it. "So, I left to tell a few people about the progress of Uzushiogakure. They are now on their way there. They are merchants, a few weaponry shop owners, food store owners, clothing, basically all the necessities. They are more than happy to start a business in Uzu. I have secured a treaty or trade - depending on which country/ village you are looking at - with sunagakure, spring country, wave village. The fire daimyo had wanted to discuss a treaty with me for the fire country - that means Konoha included - but I declined simply because I was not allowed into the fire country. All this have been secured through personal connections so worry not, information about our new country will not be revealed." Naruto said as she unrolled a map and then gave them all directions to go to Uzushiogakure. They were to go in small groups so that they wouldn't draw too much attention. "So uzukage, when are we leaving?" Nagato asked jokingly, nudging her. Naruto jumped in surprised, looking up at them all with a shocked wide eyed look.
"Uzukage?"
"Are you not gonna be our kage?" Pein asked, looking at her with a look that clearly says he wants her to be their kage.
"Yeah! You're gonna be like the coolest leader ever!" Tobi said, adding that little boost of confidence to push Naruto into the title of the new uzukage.
"I don't think I-" Naruto tried to tell them she doesn't think she is capable enough but surprisingly it was Hidan who cut her off.
"Don't bullshit us. You are a natural leader, you f*ing secured trades and treaties easily without even needing to put too much f*ing effort into it. Everyone listens to you, you're really nice and kind, but strong and affirmative as well. We wouldn't want a leader that can be pushed around easily. You lead and I will be more than happy to follow." Hidan said and everyone stared at him but he ignored all the shock stares to focus on Naruto. A smile broke into her face.
"Alright."
"Alright what?" Hidan asked, wanting her to say it to loud.
"I, Namikaze-Uzumaki Naruto, am the first Uzukage of the new Uzushiogakure no sato." Naruto declared proudly, whoops and cheers erupted from the group, pleased with her declaration.

"I'm surprise they haven't figured it out." Naruto said to Itachi as they walked along side to Uzu. Kisame was suppose to go with Itachi but he decided to go with Hidan and Kakuzu instead, so that left Itachi with Naruto. "Tobi wanted to ask, but he kept chickening out." Naruto said, amused. They were carefully henged just in case they bump into someone who would and could recognise them.
"Well, we'll just let them stew in their own curiosity." Itachi murmured as he swooped down to peck her on the lips. This is the life I have always wanted. Naruto thought blissfully.
This is the life she deserves. Itachi thought as he smiled back at her when she flashed him a grin.
Nothing can ruin this.
